NBC Sports latest 2021 NFL mock draft predicts 4 Alabama first-rounders

NBC Sports’ latest 2021 NFL mock draft predicts four Alabama stars in the first round.

After completing Week 4 of NFL action, the 2021 NFL draft is one week closer. While the draft order isn’t set, NFL fans and front offices are starting to get a general idea of where their team stands.

Nick Saban may already have his Draft Night suit picked out, as it seems like an invite to him is almost mandatory. Like clockwork, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is likely practicing the names of a few Crimson Tide products.

NBC Sports’ Glynn Morgan put together a 2021 NFL mock draft that includes four Alabama football stars.

Here’s where they land:

29. New York Jets – Deonte Brown, G

Brown is a key member of Alabama’s offensive line on the 2020 squad. He’s not a name typically seen on mock drafts for 2021. However, Morgan believes Brown is potenitaly the strongest lineman in this draft class. A struggling New York Jets team that can’t protect their 2018 first-round quarterback could use a quality big man up front.

Pro Football Network 2021 NFL mock draft has 6 Alabama players in first round

Pro Football Network predicts six Alabama playrs will be drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFl mock draft.

Nick Saban is known for being a National Championship-winning college football coach and working with players to get them at a level where NFL scouts can see them as game-ready.

In the 2020 draft, Saban saw nine former players be drafted within the first-three rounds, four of which were selected in round No. 1.

Pro Football Network’s Nick Farabugh predicts that six Crimson Tide products will be drafted in the first ound of the 2021 NFL draft.

Here’s how he predicts it shakes out:

28. Tennessee Titans – Christian Barmore, DL

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Farabaugh claims that Barmore would be a nice addition alongside Jadeveon Clowney, if they are able to keep him after the 2020 season. Not too many pieces missing on the Titans to put them as regular contenders for a late postseason run. Maybe Barmore is that last piece to the puzzle.

Latest CBS 2021 NFL mock draft predicts 5 Alabama stars in first round

Alabama stars are no strangers to the first round of NFL Drafts, see where CBS predicts the 2020 Alabama players to be drafted in 2021.

With the 2020 NFL season underway and Alabama’s season-opener less than a week away, is it too early to think about which Alabama stars will be potential first-round picks in the 2021 draft?

The correct answer is no, it is never too early.

CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson offers his latest mock draft, and there certainly isn’t a shortage of Crimson tide products in the first round.

Five stars, all projected to serve key roles on both sides of the ball, are projected to go in the first night of the 2021 NFL draft, according to Wilson.

Here’s where he thinks they could land:

19. Tennessee Titans – Christian Barmore, DL

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Wilson has strong faith in the rising-junior, Barmore. Alabama has a long list of successful defensive linemen in the NFL. The Titans already hold claim to two former Alabama stars, former Heisman-winning running back Derrick Henry and former linebacker Rashaan Evans.

“Not surprisingly, 2019 first-rounder Jeffrey Simmons has been solid through the first two games but he use some help on the interior. Barmore, who was a part-time player a year ago, could be primed for a Quinnen Williams-type breakout campaign.”

Latest ESPN mock draft has 4 Alabama players in first round

ESPN’s Todd McShay released his most recent 2021 mock draft and it features four members of Alabama’s 2020 team.

ESPN’s Senior Write and Draft Analyst, Todd McShay, released his most recent 2021 NFL mock draft for the first round.

The mock consists of players from various conferences and divisions, Alabama is tied with Ohio State for the most draftees in the first round with four.

In 2019, three Crimson Tide stars were drafted in the first round, and in 2020,  four were selected. So, McShay’s projection of four being drafted in 2021 follows the precedent.

Here’s where the Alabama products landed:

26. New England Patriots – Dylan Moses, LB

Moses returned to Alabama for his senior season after missing all of 2019 to a knee injury.

“Moses missed last season with a knee injury, but when he’s healthy, he is a complete player and game-changer,” writes McShay. “He brings athleticism, speed, physicality and leadership qualities.”

Next … a couple of wide receivers.

Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses and Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain were named to the Bednarik Award watch list.

Moses was predicted to be a first round pick entering the 2019 season until a torn ACL scratched those plans. Moses sat out the entire season and was one of the players Alabama missed on defense the most. In his first two seasons for Alabama, Moses had 116 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass deflection. As the season progresses, and if he can stay healthy, look for Moses to continue to climb up the draft spots in mock drafts leading up the draft. He has an incredible skill set, is a leader, and will be on a mission to prove himself in his senior season for the Crimson Tide.

Surtain has been a starter for Alabama since starting as a true freshman in 2018. In his career, he has recorded 79 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 2 interceptions. Surtain will be looking to have an NFL career like his father, Patrick Surtain, who spent 10 years in the NFL playing cornerback for the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.

Latest 247Sports 2021 mock draft projects 5 Alabama players in first round

247Sports’ latest 2021 NFL mock draft projects five members of the 2020 Alabama crimson tide team will be drafted in the first round.

The 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide football team lost a lot of talent to the 2020 NFL draft. Without Tua Tagovailoa, Jerry Jeudy Henry Ruggs III and more, which members of this upcoming season’s crew will reach national headlines as potential first round picks?

Joal Ryan of 247Sports recently released a mock draft for the 2021 draft that included five members of the 2020 Alabama team.

Here’s where Ryan projects them to land:

22. Buffalo Bills – DeVonta Smith, WR

Ryan believes that Smith and his teammate, Jaylen Waddle are interchangeable in the first round, they are that good. This would make back-to-back drafts where Alabama has two receivers selected in the first round. Ryan also states that Bills quarterback Josh Allen would be lucky to have Smith.

Draft Wire’s latest 2021 NFL mock draft has 7 Alabama players in first round

Draft Wire’s latest 2021 NFL Mock Draft predicts seven Alabama players will be selected in the first round.

It’s never too early to start looking at mock drafts, especially when the 2020 Alabama football team is loaded with potential early-round talent.

USA Today’s Draft Wire posted their latest mock draft for the 2021 NFL draft and it predicts seven Alabama players will be drafted in the first round.

Here’s where those players are projected to land:

29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Najee Harris

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The Alabama running back could possibly join an offense that currently houses elite talent including Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans. Tampa’s expected starting running back for 2020 is Ronald Jones II. Their backfield definitely needs the addition of someone special, like Harris, in order to help the passing game.

23. Green Bay Packers – Jaylen Waddle

Jaylen Waddle

Waddle is a player that is set to be a serious offensive leader for the 2020 college football season. His speed, elusiveness and incredible route running abilities could make him a star in his rookie season. The Packers seem to be moving away from Aaron Rodgers and toward the Jordan Love Era. Will Jaylen Waddle be Love’s first offensive addition through the draft?

Giants select Patrick Surtain in BR’s way-too-early 2021 mock draft

In a way-too-early 2021 NFL mock draft from Bleacher Report, the New York Giants select Alabama CB Patrick Surtain II.

The New York Giants have invested heavily in their secondary over the past two years, signing players like James Bradberry and drafting others like Sam Beal, DeAndre Baker, Julian Love and Corey Ballentine.

Still, many view the Giants’ secondary as a work in progress and expect more additions to the unit, especially given Baker’s current legal situation and uncertain future.

Bleacher Report’s Jake Rill shares those expectations, which is why he has the Giants selecting Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain II in a way-too-early 2021 NFL mock draft.

6. New York Giants: Patrick Surtain Jr., CB, Alabama

Although Rill adds no commentary to the pick, it’s easy to understand why he has the Giants going in that direction at No. 6 overall next April.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound Surtain comes from a good blood line. His father, Patrick Surtain, spent 11 seasons in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, earning three Pro Bowl appearances and two combined All-Pro nods.

In their own recent mock draft, this is what Walter Football had to say about Surtain:

Son of former Dolphins star cornerback Patrick Surtain Sr., Surtain II was tested early by teams, yet was able to punish teams for doing so. The 6-foot-2 cornerback projects as a top-10 pick in the future.

Surtain already has tremendous value and seems to be rising — some have even called him the best cornerback in the 2021 draft despite the 2020 season having not been played yet.

If the Giants do end up selecting sixth overall, Surtain would be a great addition, but it’s looking increasingly unlikely he’ll even fall that far.

Latest 2021 NFL mock draft has 5 Alabama players in first round

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox predicts five Alabama players will be drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft.

Sure, the 2020 NFL draft concluded under a month ago, but you can never be too prepared for next year. Right?

Way-too-early mock drafts may not be entirely accurate when looking at who the picks actually are when the draft actually takes place. However, these mock drafts do give us an idea of who to watch out for in the 2020 college football season, or even a guide for fans looking to expand their knowledge of players outside of their fanbase.

There is another reason for these mock drafts, and that’s to see how many players from your favorite team could be a potential first-round draft pick.

Alabama fans, you’re in for a treat as Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox predicts five current members of the Crimson Tide will be selected in the first round.

Let’s see the projected landing spots of those five players according to Knox:

22. Indianapolis Colts – LaBryan Ray, DL

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

LaBryan Ray is a name that Alabama fans heard more of in 2019, but may not be all too familiar with quite yet. Expect Ray to big a big presence physically and as a leader on the defensive line in 2020.
