Season series: Padres lead 2-1

The Padres got back in the win column on Wednesday with a 5-2 victory over the Rockies to cover as -146 favorites. A 4-run 1st inning led the charge for the win. SS Ha-Seong Kim and CF Jackson Merrill each had 2 RBIs while  RHP Matt Waldron allowed 1 ER in 6 IP to pick up the win.

The Rockies failed to cover on Wednesday as +134 home underdogs. Both of their runs came on solo HRs from 3B Ryan McMahon and C Elias Diaz. LHP Ty Blach gave up 4 ER in 5 IP to take the loss.

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The San Diego Padres (13-13) take on the Colorado Rockies (6-18) Wednesday in the 3rd game of a 4-game set at Coors Field at 8:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Tied 1-1

Colorado rocked the Padres 7-4 Tuesday. The Padres got out to a 4-1 lead in the 3rd and didn’t score again. OF Jackson Merrill went 2 for 3 Tuesday, and his .467 batting average (21 for 45) is the highest road mark in baseball. The Padres are tied for 9th with 4.8 R/game and are 10th with a 3.85 ERA. They are 7-5 on the road thus far.

2B Brendan Rodgers‘ lone hit was the difference Tuesday as it went for a grand slam. The Rockies have just 6 wins on the year, and 4 of them have come at home. Their 6-18 start has tied their worst start in their 32 years as a franchise.

Padres at Rockies projected starters

RHP Matt Waldron vs. TBD

Waldron (0-2, 4.74 ERA) makes his 5th start. He has a 1.53 WHIP, 3.3 BB/9 and 8.5 K/9 over 19 innings.

  • Last start: Loss, 4 2/3 IP, 5 ER, 7 H, 1 BB, 2 K Friday
  • Home/road career splits: 1-1, 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 5.7 K/9 in 5 road starts; 0-4, 5.61 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 8.6 K/9 in 7 home games (5 starts)
  • Has never faced Rockies before

The Rockies have yet to announce a starter for Wednesday.

  • Rockies are last in MLB with a 5.68 ERA and 1.66 WHIP
  • Rockies’ bullpen is 23rd in MLB with a 4.88 ERA and last with a 1.58 WHIP

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 7, Rockies 3

Moneyline

The Padres should rebound here as the Rockies could wind up going with a bullpen game. However, dropping -160 on a .500 team with an unknown on the hill isn’t a good use of funds.

Instead, let’s go with MATT WALDRON OVER 3.5 K’S (-135). He has 4+ K’s in 3 of 4 starts, and the Rockies are the 5th-easiest to whiff in baseball.

Run line/Against the spread

We’re projecting a multi-run win for San Diego here, but I don’t like betting -110 on it. Let’s stick with Waldron and take MATT WALDRON UNDER 16.5 OUTS (-135). He has never pitched in Coors Field. He relies on a 91-mph 4-seamer, a knuckleball, sinker, sweeper and cutter. That’s not the repertoire that you can control in the altitude. He also hasn’t pitched 5 2/3 in any of his starts this season.

Over/Under

This one can go either way, but I have trouble betting an Over 11 when Colorado is tied for 24th at 3.7 R/game. The first game of this series went Under, and Tuesday’s game would have pushed.

LEAN UNDER 11 (-105).

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The San Diego Padres (12-12) open a 4-game series against the Colorado Rockies (5-17) Monday. First pitch from Coors Field is at 8:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Padres won 9-4 last year

The Padres snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 6-3 home win over the Toronto Blue Jays Sunday, salvaging 1 game of the 3-game series. Starting RHP Joe Musgrove allowed 3 runs in 7 innings for the win. They are 6-4 in their last 10 games.

The Rockies have lost 7 of their last 8 games and are coming off a 10-2 home loss to the Seattle Mariners Sunday, losing 2 of 3 in the series.

Padres at Rockies projected starters

RHP Dylan Cease vs. LHP Austin Gomber

Cease (2-1, 1.99 ERA) makes his 5th start. He has a 0.93 WHIP, 4.4 BB/9 and 10.7 K/9 in 22 2/3 innings.

  • Last start: Win, 6 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 5 BB, 7 K in 6-3 road win over Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday
  • Has allowed 2 or fewer earned runs in all 4 starts this season

Gomber (0-1, 4.95 ERA) makes his 5th start. He has a 1.50 WHIP, 3.6 BB/9 and 8.1 K/9 in 20 innings.

  • Last start: Loss, 5 1/3 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 0 BB, 4 K in 5-0 loss at Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday
  • Career vs. Padres: 2-3, 3.61 ERA (47 1/3 IP, 19 ER), 1.23 WHIP in 8 starts and 4 relief appearances

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 5, Rockies 3

Moneyline

Well, the Rockies are 5-17 this season and aren’t even doing well at home. They are 3-6 at Coors Field to start the season. They have been held to 2 or fewer runs in 6 of the last 7 games.

The Padres (-190) are 5-1 in their last 6 games when opponents score 3 or fewer runs. They are 6-4 on the road this season and have won Cease’s last 2 outings.

But betting them at -190 isn’t worth the action.

PASS.

Run line/Against the spread

Nine of the Padres’ 12 wins have been by 2 or more runs.

Twelve of the Rockies’ 17 losses have been by 2 or more runs, including 3 of their last 4.

BET PADRES -1.5 (-125).

Over/Under

While Coors Field has a reputation of high-scoring games, only 4 of 12 contests there this season have had 11 or more total runs.

The Rockies have scored 3 or fewer runs 15 times in 22 outings this season and are 1-14 in those games. Six of their last 8 games have not reached 11 total runs.

BET UNDER 10.5 (-110).

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Diego Padres (52-54) open a 3-game set with the Colorado Rockies (41-64) Monday. First pitch from Coors Field is set for 8:40 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Padres lead 4-3

The Padres swept the Texas Rangers over the weekend to move within 5 games of the final NL Wild Card spot. San Diego has been playing pretty consistent baseball, going 6-4 over its last 10 games and 15-15 across its last 30.

The Rockies have dropped 4 of their last 5 games and currently sport the worst record in the National League. Colorado is 18 1/2 games back in the NL West and 15 1/2 games back of an NL Wild Card spot.

Padres at Rockies projected starters

RHP Seth Lugo vs. LHP Austin Gomber

Lugo (4-5, 3.62 ERA) makes his 16th start. He has a 1.20 WHIP, 1.8 BB/9 and 8.7 K/9 through 82 IP.

  • Last start: Loss, 7 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 10 K in 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday
  • 2023 road stats: 2-2, 3.38 ERA (45 1/3 IP, 17 ER) and 8.3 K/9 in 8 starts
  • Career vs. Rockies: 3-0, 2.64 ERA (30 2/3 IP, 9 ER) in 3 starts and 7 relief appearances
  • Career at Coors Field: Allowed 6 R (3 ER) in 7 IP with an 11/2 K/BB in 1 start and 2 relief appearances
  • Has served up 5 long balls in his 3 most recent appearances after allowing a total of just 6 HR through his first 12 starts

Gomber (8-8, 5.83 ERA) makes his 22nd start. He has a 1.44 WHIP, 2.5 BB/9 and 6.0 K/9 through 108 IP.

  • Last start: No-decision, 6 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 6 H, 0 BB, 4 K in 6-5 loss at Washington Nationals Tuesday
  • 2023 home stats: 5-4, 7.19 ERA (61 1/3 IP, 49 ER) with 14 HR allowed (2.1 HR/9) over 12 starts
  • Career vs. Padres: 2-3, 3.70 ERA (41 1/3 IP, 17 ER) in 7 starts and 4 relief appearances.
  • Has made 2 starts against the Padres this year, allowing 3 ER in 6 IP at San Diego on April 2 and 7 ER in 4 IP in a home start on June 9
  • Got off to a brutal start this season with a 12.12 ERA over his first 4 turns but has a more respectable 4.71 ERA in 17 starts since, with 3 ER or fewer allowed in 12 of those outings

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 6, Rockies 4

Moneyline

Gomber has pitched better lately, with a 3.00 ERA and just 2 BB across 36 IP over his last 6 starts, but he has been awful at home this season. Lugo has been rock-solid, and the Padres have been rolling and have climbed back into the race for a playoff spot. However, San Diego is 23-29 away from home on the season so this price is just a little too steep.

PASS.

Run line/Against the spread

Colorado dropped 2 of 3 to the lowly Oakland Athletics over the weekend, then proceeded to trade away two of their best hitters. This is a game the Padres should win and the run line for the road team at Coors Field is always in play. Back the PADRES -1.5 (-135).

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

Both starters in this game have been pitching well and are likely to avoid getting blown up despite the challenging environment. It probably won’t be a pitchers’ duel, but this game should slide in just UNDER 11.5 (-105).

The Colorado Rockies (26-40) welcome the San Diego Padres (31-33) to Coors Field for the finale of their 3-game series Sunday. First pitch is set for 3:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Padres lead 4-2

The Rockies have been struggling immensely of late, losing 6 in a row including the 1st 2 games of this series, 9-6 on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday. They have lost 10 of their last 12 and are just 15-19 at home.

The Padres have won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 9 games. San Diego is 16-15 on the road this season. They’re 4th in the NL West, 8 games behind the 1st-place Arizona Diamondbacks.

Padres at Rockies projected starters

LHP Blake Snell vs. RHP Dinelson Lamet

Snell (2-6, 4.06 ERA) makes his 13th start. He has a 1.44 WHIP, 5.41 BB/9 and 10.0 K/9 in 62 innings.

  • Had an MLB-leading 21 wins in 2018, but hasn’t hit double-figure wins in a season since
  • Padres are just 3-9 in his 12 starts, including a 7-2 home loss to the Rockies in the season opener March 30
  •  Has pitched 12 straight innings without an ER

Lamet (1-3, 12.42 ERA) makes his 15th appearance and 3rd start. He has a 2.46 WHIP, 7.6 BB/9 and 11.3 K/9 in 16 2/3 innings.

  • The ex-Padres pitcher did not start a game at all last season
  • The Rockies are 3-11 in games Lamet has appeared.
  • Lost his last start: 3 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K in 10-4 loss to San Francisco Giants on Tuesday

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 7, Rockies 4

Moneyline

PASS.

The Rockies have been awful as of late, but at (-185), there is no good value in backing their opponent here. The moneyline for the home side (+150) looks enticing, but with Lamet on the mound, it is also a pass.

Run line/Against the spread

BET PADRES -1.5 (-125).

The Rockies have lost 9 of the 14 games in which Lamet has appeared by 2 or more runs. The Padres are 8-7 on the run line as a road favorite as well, so this is a position they have performed well in.

The Rockies are just 16-23 on the run line following a loss as well. Considering the trends, take PADRES -1.5 (-125).

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 12 (-110).

The Padres have gone Under in 6 of their last 8 games. They are also 21-42-1 O/U on the season. The Rockies are 28-37-1 O/U this season and have gone Under in 3 of their last 4 games.

Despite Lamet’s struggles, this total is too high, and with how these teams have trended, take the UNDER 12 (-110).

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB expert picks and predictions.

The San Diego Padres (83-67) begin a 3-game road series against the Colorado Rockies (64-86) Friday. First pitch from Coors Field is at 8:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds with MLB picks and predictions.

Season series: Rockies lead 9-7

The Padres had a 5-game win streak going before suffering a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals Thursday. San Diego is now only 1/2 game ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies for the second wild-card spot in the NL.

The Rockies just want to finish the season strong at this point, though, they just got swept in a 4-game home series against the San Francisco Giants. Colorado was outscored 25-11 in its recent series with San Francisco, so it isn’t coming into this game with much momentum.

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 8, Rockies 6

Money line

I’ll go ahead and PASS on the money line in this game at the current odds the Padres have. San Diego is 4-1 in the previous meetings with Colorado, so it could have the edge Friday, but I’m not wagering on the money line straight up.

Run line/Against the spread

PADRES -1.5 (-108) is the ideal option in this game with San Diego still having something to play for. Both pitchers in this game have struggled this season, but I have more confidence in the bats of the Padres than the Rockies.

You can also take PADRES -0.5 FIRST 5 INNINGS (-122) as an alternative if you don’t believe San Diego wins by multiple runs or if you think they’ll take an early lead.

Over/Under

Life is too short to take the Under in a game at Coors Field, especially when there are 2 struggling pitchers taking the mound. OVER 10.5 RUNS (-130) is an enticing bet at plus odds given the fact that both teams should be able to produce a decent number of runs.

The Over has hit in 5 of the last 7 meetings between the Padres and the Rockies.

  • Is 2-0 with a 4.15 ERA with a .239 OBA in 13 IP across 2 starts vs. SD this season.

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 6, Rockies 5

Money line

The PADRES (-135) are a decent play, although you’ll have to hold your breath as this one figures to be your typical Coors Field softball-like back-and-forth affair.

San Diego is a little bit of a risky play based on the fact Colorado has had its way with the Padres so far this season, winning 7 of 10.

Run line/Against the spread

The ROCKIES +1.5 (-130) are worth a roll of the dice, as this should be a close game. Colorado has had its way with San Diego, but neither Snell nor Freeland are pitching well enough that this game will be one-sided.

Over/Under

The UNDER 11.5 (-105) is a big number, and playing the Under is always risky business at Coors.

I feel as if we’ll see a decent amount of runs, but the Under will just come in. The wind will be blowing sideways across the outfield, knocking down any potential homer balls to limit some damage.

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB expert picks and predictions.

The San Diego Padres (41-25) face the Colorado Rockies (28-37) Saturday for the second game of their 3-game series in Denver. First pitch is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. ET at Coors Field. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds with MLB picks and predictions.

The Rockies lead the season series 3-2.

The Padres had their 4-game win streak snapped Friday as the Rockies took the series opener 10-4. They are 11-4 in their last 15 games.

Catcher C.J. Cron homered twice in Friday’s win as the Rockies snapped a 7-game home losing skid. They are 1-3 on their current homestand.

Padres at Rockies projected starters

RHP Nick Martinez vs. RHP German Marquez

Martinez (2-3, 3.74 ERA) makes his 10th start and 12th appearance. He has a 1.39 WHIP, 4.1 BB/9 and 9.1 K/9 through 55 1/3 IP.

  • Received a no decision in a 2-1 win against the Rockies in his last start last Saturday. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
  • Is 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA in 10 2/3 innings across 2 starts and 1 relief appearance against the Rockies in his career.

Marquez (3-5, 6.09 ERA) makes his 13th start. He has a 1.52 WHIP, 2.9 BB/9 and 7.8 K/9 through 68 IP.

  • Has received the win in each of his last 2 starts.
  • Has an ERA of 3.46 in his last 2 starts after 3 straight starts allowing 4 or more earned runs.
  • Picked up a win in a 4-2 victory over the Padres in his last outing Sunday with 2 runs allowed on 6 hits in 7 innings.

Padres at Rockies picks and predictions

Prediction

Padres 6, Rockies 4

Money line

The Padres have won 11 of their last 15 games and, despite the loss on Friday, still have one of baseball’s best road records at 24-12

The Rockies are 1-7 in their last 8 home games the only time they have won consecutive games since May 6 was when they took the final 2 games of the series in San Diego last week.

Take the PADRES (-120).

Run line/Against the spread

Ten of the Padres’ wins in their 11-4 run were by at least 2 runs. Twenty-nine of their 41 wins this season were by multiple runs.

The Rockies are only 17-19 ATS at home this season but are 11-9 ATS as home underdogs.

That said, unless you like the Rockies to win the game outright, the smartest and most valuable bet of the night is PADRES -1.5 (+122).

Over/Under

The series opener had 14 runs. It was the first time in 5 games between the two teams they combined for double-digit runs.

Three of the Padres’ last 4 games have had 12 or more runs but only 5 of their last 27 games have.

The Rockies have had 2 of their 4 home games finish with 12 or more runs but those are the only 2 games in their last 11 overall to do so.

Take UNDER 11.5 (-107).

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The San Diego Padres (67-55) dropped the first two games of their series against the Colorado Rockies (54-66) and will try to avoid the sweep Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:10 p.m. ET at Coors Field. Let’s analyze the lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds with MLB picks and predictions.

Padres RHP Jake Arrieta (5-11, 6.88 ERA) makes his 21st start of the season, and first with San Diego. He has a 1.76 WHIP, 4.1 BB/9 and 7.7 K/9 through 86 1/3 IP with the Chicago Cubs.

  • Arrieta put up a 2.57 ERA across his first five starts of the season but has been absolutely brutal ever since. He has allowed 58 ER over 58 1/3 IP (8.95 ERA) over his last 15 starts and holds a 10.44 ERA and 3.1 HR/9 over his last 10 outings.
  • Arrieta’s first start of August came with the Cubs at Coors Field, an outing in which he allowed 4 ER over 4 IP. He followed that up with a 4 IP, 8 ER performance against the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cubs released him after that outing.

Rockies RHP Chi Chi Gonzalez (3-6, 6.06 ERA) is expected to come off the COVID-19 list to make his 20th appearance (16th start). He has a 1.46 WHIP, 2.4 BB/9 and 5.3 K/9 through 90 2/3 IP.

  • Gonzalez has done a nice job of keeping the ball in the park at home, with just 4 HR allowed through 43 2/3 IP. However, he has really struggled to miss bats in his home park, where he has recorded a 3.9 K/9 and 5.36 ERA.
  • Gonzalez has faced the Padres twice this season, once at home and once on the road. In those starts he has surrendered 6 ER across 12 IP with 8 K, 2 BB, and 3 HR allowed.

Prediction

Rockies 8, Padres 7

Money line (ML)

The Cubs lost 10 of their last 11 games Arrieta started before they released him. It’s hard to envision him turning things around with the Padres, especially in his first start, which will take place in an extremely tough environment for pitchers.

The Rockies are countering with Gonzalez, who hasn’t been very good either, but they have won eight of their last nine at home to bring their record on the season at Coors up to 40-21 – second best in the league. Take the ROCKIES (+120).

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

With Arrieta on the mound for the Padres, the Rockies shouldn’t have much trouble getting the bats going Wednesday afternoon. If they come up short in the end, they should still score quite a few runs and keep it close.

Back the ROCKIES +1.5 (-122) or seek a better payout and flip it to ROCKIES -1.5 (+195), as a disastrous Arrieta outing wouldn’t be a shocking outcome.

Over/Under (O/U)

This is a very high total, and rightfully so. Both starting pitchers have struggled, and neither of them are strong bets to have much success Wednesday.

Both teams should put up their fair share of runs and help push this total OVER 13.5 (-125).

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The San Diego Padres (67-54) fell to the Colorado Rockies (53-66) in the first game of their series Monday, but still have a small lead over the Cincinnati Reds in the race for the NL’s second wild-card spot. The two teams meet again Tuesday at 8:40 p.m. ET at Coors Field. Let’s analyze the lines around the Padres vs. Rockies odds with MLB picks and predictions.

Padres LHP Matt Strahm (0-0, 8.44 ERA) makes his sixth appearance of the season in what will be his first start since August of 2019. He has allowed 5 ER on 11 H and 1 BB against 3 K through 5 1/3 IP.

  • Strahm underwent knee surgery in October, which kept him out of action until early August. He has made eight appearances between the minors and majors, topping out at 1 2/3 IP, so don’t expect him to work deep into this game.
  • Strahm struggled as a starter in 2019, and pitched exclusively out of the pen in 2020, where he totaled 20 2/3 IP across 19 appearances. His 2.61 ERA looks good on the surface, but it came with a weak 6.5 K/9 and a lot of help from a .196 BABIP.

Rockies RHP German Marquez (10-9, 3.77 ERA) makes his 25th start of the year. He has a 1.18 WHIP, 3.3 BB/9 and 9.4 K/9 through 140 2/3 IP.

  • Marquez has been excellent at Coors Field this season, recording a 3.05 ERA and allowing just 4 homers through 82 2/3 IP.
  • He got rouged up in his last start when he gave up 7 ER over 4 IP at the San Francisco Giants. In two starts against the Padres (both on the road) he has allowed 2 ER over 13 IP to go with a 16/5 K/BB.

Padres at Rockies odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 2:20 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Padres -105 (bet $105 to win $100) | Rockies -115 (bet $115 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Padres -1.5 (+135) | Rockies +1.5 (-175)
  • Over/Under: 12.5 (O: -105 | U: -120)

Prediction

Rockies 7, Padres 4

Money line (ML)

Monday night’s walk-off victory was Colorado’s seventh win in its last eight home games, bringing its record at Coors Field to 39-21 on the season.

Marquez has been pretty reliable all season and gives the Rockies a clear pitching edge in what amounts to a bullpen game for the Padres. Side with the ROCKIES (-115).

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

Marquez allowed a total of just 8 ER across 53 IP over his last eight starts at home. Even in a tough spot against a strong Padres lineup, he should be able to minimize the damage.

On the other side, the bullpen has been a strength for San Diego all year, as the Padres relief corps leads the majors with a 2.96 ERA. They are really going to have to dig deep here, though, as Strahm isn’t likely to give them more than 2 innings.

ROCKIES +1.5 (-175) makes sense, but going for the better payout with ROCKIES -1.5 (+150) on the alternate line is the preferred play.

Over/Under (O/U)

The under is 6-1 in Colorado’s last seven contests and is 7-1 in Marquez’s last eight home starts. He probably won’t completely shut down the Padres but will do enough to help keep this total UNDER 12.5 (-120).
