UGA football target 4-star WR Jayden Thomas sets commitment date

The Georgia Bulldogs made the top five schools for Pace Academy WR Jayden Thomas

The Georgia Bulldogs made the top five schools for Jayden Thomas. Thomas is a four-star receiver who plays high school football at Pace Academy. He’s from Atlanta, Georgia, and is a member of the class of 2021. Now, Thomas is ready to make his commitment.

Pace Academy is a bit of a University of Georgia pipeline high school. Georgia has recruited talented players Andrew Thomas and Jamaree Salyer from Pace Academy.

Jayden Thomas announced his commitment date via Twitter:

In case you can’t see the tweet, Thomas will be committing Oct. 2. That is a special day for him because it is his grandma’s birthday.

At 6 feet, 1 inch, 200 pounds, Thomas has solid size. He will decide between UGA, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan and Arkansas.

Kirby Smart and Georgia have 15 commitments in the class of 2021. Thomas would be a great addition to the class. Can UGA persuade the four-star to stay in the Peach State?

Kirby Smart and the Dawgs have secured three straight elite recruiting classes. Look for the class of 2021 to be no different. Georgia has two wide receiver commitments: Adonai Mitchell, who flipped from Ole Miss, and Jackson Meeks.

Thomas frequently works out with Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver legend Terrence Edwards.

Top ranked 2022 QB transfers to UGA recruiting pipeline HS

Georgia high school football player M.J. Morris was named the top quarterback prospect in the class of 2022. He’ll be attending Pace Academy

Georgia high school football player M.J. Morris was named the top quarterback prospect in the class of 2022 by Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network. Morris previously played football for Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia.

Now, Morris is transferring to Pace Academy. Pace Academy is known for producing some elite high school talent including Andrew Thomas and Jamaree Salyer, both of whom were renowned recruits. The duo also ended up attending the University of Georgia.

The previous time the nation’s top high school quarterback played in the state Georgia it was Trevor Lawrence and/or Justin Fields in the class of 2018. Both players played high school football in the Peach State, but scouting services were split on which one was the top prospect.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs already have a commitment from Brock Vandagriff, an in-state quarterback, who has a shot to be the top quarterback recruit of the class of 2021. Most recruiting services rate Vandagriff as a top five quarterback in his respective class.

It’s still early to evaluate the class of 2022. Members of the class of 2022 are only rising juniors and many of them have only played one year of varsity football.

Will Morris consider attending the University of Georgia if Brock Vandagriff stays true to his commitment? Morris would be in a battle to earn playing time. Kirby Smart and the Georgia offense are embracing competition at the quarterback position.

Morris has received offers from numerous schools throughout the country including LSU, Florida, Alabama, FSU and Miami. We’ll continue to update you throughout Morris’s career.
