4-star North Carolina guard sets up official visit to Ohio State basketball

The Bucks will host one of the nation’s best in August. #GoBucks

Ohio State basketball is finally starting to make waves in the 2025 recruiting cycle as it continues to look for its first commitment of the class.

North Carolina combo guard, [autotag]Isaiah Denis[/autotag], is one of those that is highly considering the Buckeyes, and he has now planned an official visit to Columbus. The 6-foot, 5-inch, 165-pound star will be on campus starting on September 7.

The nation’s No. 76 overall prospect and 14th player at his position according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings will also visit Pittsburgh on August 30th and Michigan on September 21st. Denis has been offered by all three schools.

Denis would be a great addition for Ohio State, as his size and playmaking ability would fit very well with what new head coach Jake Diebler is trying to accomplish within his offense.

Tennessee 2025 running back puts Ohio State football in his top group

The Buckeyes are still in the mix for the Tennessee running back. #GoBucks

Although Ohio State football missed out on one of its top running back targets in Jordon Davison after he committed to Oregon, the Buckeyes are still looking for a third running back in the 2025 class.

Bo Jackson and Isaiah West are currently in the fold, as the pursuit of another continues. Tennessee back, [autotag]Shekai Mills-Knight[/autotag], could be an option, as the 6-foot, 1-inch and 217-pounder narrowed down his list to eight schools with a commitment coming soon.

The 247Sports Composite Rankings has him as their No. 442 overall prospect and 33rd back, but his offer list is quite impressive considering the “lower” ranking. There is one part of Mills-Knight recruitment that makes it seem like Ohio State might not be an option.

He has yet to make an official visit, as he has done so with multiple of his other finalists. Until Mills-Knight does that, he should not be seen as a realistic possible future commitment.

Ohio State misses out on four-star running back

Ohio State misses out on four-star running back #GoBucks

We are in the portion of the year where college football news is a bit slow, but recruiting news is picking up. As we inch closer to National Signing Day monitoring the class of 2025 becomes more and more important. Unfortunately, a star out of the state of California made his announcement today and he pledged his commitment to another Big Ten rival.

Jordon Davison is a four-star recruit, who recently trimmed his list down to four schools. Ohio State was among those four school, but the competition included other college football blue bloods in Alabama, Michigan and Oregon.

Today he announced his commitment to play for the Oregon Ducks, which is not the greatest news for Buckeye fans, but it should be noted that the Ohio State recruiting class of 2025 already has two running backs committed.

BOOM! 2025 North Carolina defensive tackle Trajen Odom commits to Ohio State football

BOOM! The Buckeyes add on to their top ranked 2025 recruiting class

Ohio State football’s 2025 recruiting class is the top group in the nation, and on Friday added yet another highly talented player.

North Carolina defensive tackle [autotag]Trajen Odom[/autotag] committed to the Buckeyes, as their defensive line class just gets stronger. The 6-foot, 4-inch and 285-pound interior lineman chose Ohio State over USC, Oregon Colorado, UCLA, and Georgia.

It’s a big recruiting win for the Buckeyes, as Odom is ranked as the No. 283 overall prospect and 31st defensive lineman according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He joins Zion Grady, Zahir Mathis, and London Merritt to form one of the best collections of commitments at their position in the country.

Odom is commitment No. 21 for Ohio State, as they look like they will take a rather large class in this cycle.

Ohio State makes cut for four-star running back

Ohio State makes cut for four-star running back #GoBucks

There has been a ton of interest in the future of four-star running back, Jordon Davison, and where he is going to commit. Today we took another step forward in figuring out the future of the California product as he narrowed down his list to four schools.

On X, it was announced that Davison would announce his commitment on June 28 and pick between the Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks. It is interesting that the star back has three Big Ten teams make the list.

Ohio State already has two backs committed in the 2025 class in Bo Jackson Jr. and Isaiah West, but perhaps new running backs coach Carlos Locklyn has something else up his sleeve. The consensus top-15 running back in the class has been rumored to be cooling off from the Buckeyes, but we will certainly see on Friday.

BOOM! Ohio State football adds another tight end to its 2025 recruiting class

BOOM! The Buckeyes add the in-state right end. #GoBucks

Ohio State football wanted to get two tight ends in its 2025 recruiting class, and on Thursday that mission was accomplished.

Already in the fold was Nate Roberts from Oklahoma, and now you can add Ohio’s own [autotag]Brody Lennon[/autotag]. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 220-pounder made it his commitment official, giving the Buckeyes the pair that they wanted in the cycle.

Lennon is ranked as the nation’s No. 608 overall prospect and 30th ranked tight end by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Ohio State beat out Kentucky, Wisconsin and Missouri for his verbal. His junior season was fantastic, as he caught 32 passes for 750 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.

With the commitment of Lennon, Ohio State now has 20 commits in what is looking like another banner class for head coach Ryan Day.

Ohio State quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair wins another award

St. Clair continues to dominate this summer. #Gobucks

Although Ohio State football 2025 quarterback commit, [autotag]Tavien St. Clair[/autotag] didn’t win the Elite 11 Finals MVP, he did perform at a high level.

That trend continued during Rivals Five-Star camp, where he dominated during the first day. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 225-pound future Buckeye was named the MVP of his position.

This isn’t surprising at all, as St. Clair has shown many across the nation that he’s one of the top players in the country, if not the best. He’s currently ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, but there has plenty of chatter that he could still make a rise to the top spot.

There has been so much quarterback talent coming through Columbus since Ryan Day joined the staff, and St. Clair is just the next big-time prospect that will be competing in that room.

Ohio State football recruiting scouting report: Deontae Armstrong

Ohio State football recruiting scouting report: Deontae Armstrong #GoBucks

Ohio State football had another dominant recruiting class for the 2024 haul and landed a consensus top-five class in the country. Once again, the class features serious star power and the Buckeyes were able to snag some amazing talent on the offensive side of the ball including an intriguing homegrown interior offensive lineman from St. Edward in Lakewood, Ohio.

Name: Deontae Armstrong

High School: St. Edward (Lakewood, OH)

Height: 6 feet, 6 inches

Weight: 280 pounds

Position: Interior Offensive Lineman

Strengths

Much like his twin brother, Deontae Armstrong has shown great improvement throughout his high school career and has an insanely high ceiling potential-wise. He also has a great frame that has already seen a ton of growth in the last few years but has room for even more muscle.

NEXT … Weaknesses

Is a recent Alabama commit trolling Ohio State or a sign of things to come?

This recruitment may not be over? #GoBucks

Ohio State football lost out on the recruiting battle for Alabama offensive tackle, [autotag]Micah DeBose[/autotag], as he opted to stay home and play for the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot, 5-inch, 315-pound tackle made his decision just last week, but it seems like the Buckeyes might still be able to flip him. Or does it?

The country’s No. 89 overall prospect and 8th tackle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings is currently at the Rivals250 Camp, and was seen wearing Ohio State gear along with putting up the famous O-H.

This could very well be a troll by DeBose, or it could be that he’s rethinking his choice.

You be the judge of this, but until DeBose formally makes a formal decommitment, I’d assume he’s going to be part of Alabama’s 2025 class.

Ohio State gets crystal ball predictions for defensive lineman Maxwell Roy

Once thought to be a Michigan lean is now trending to OSU #GoBucks

Ryan Day and the Ohio State football staff have been tearing it up on the recruiting trail through the month of June. The Buckeyes have added several key commitments to the 2025 class and are looking to continue the hot streak.

It seems that more good news could be on the horizon as Ohio State has been given six crystal ball predictions to land four-star defensive lineman, Maxwell Roy. Once thought to be a Michigan lean, Roy left an official visit to Ann Arbor this past weekend and the predictions started coming in for the Bucks. One of the crystal ball predictions even comes from Wolverine insider, Sam Webb. It’s anyone’s guess what changed but Roy would be another strong addition to an already historic class.

Roy is listed as the No. 25 ranked defensive lineman according to 247Sports composite rankings, although 247Sports itself has him ranked higher at No. 19.

Roy hails from Philadelphia where he attends St. Joseph’s Prep, the same school that produced Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyle McCord. Getting Roy would be another huge win on the recruiting trail and over rival Michigan.
