Ohio State football issues availability report for Michigan game, key players revealed

Ohio State football issues availability report for Michigan game. #GoBucks

The fine folks with the Ohio State Football team have issued the availability report for the game against the Michigan Wolverines and a meaningful linebacker returns to the starting lineup.

Tommy Eichenberg returns to the starting lineup after an injury that kept him out the last two weeks. There was some dispute that Eichenberg could have played last week, but was held out due to the competition and getting ready for “The Game”

The Buckeyes look to be relatively healthy and ready to go against an undefeated Michigan squad, except for obvious starter, Lathan Ransom, but he has been out for a few weeks now and has already been reported as possibly missing the remainder of the season. The following is the released injury report:

UNAVAILABLE

  • WR Kojo Antwi
  • WR Kyion Grayes
  • DL Jason Moore
  • S Lathan Ransom
  • DL Will Smith

Ohio State issues availability report for Rutgers game, key players out

Ohio State has some key members of its defense out vs. Rutgers. #GoBucks

The fine folks with the Ohio State Football team have issued the availability report for the game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and the Buckeyes have an issue in the back end of the defense. It is never a good time to lose two starting defensive backs, but a part of me is thankful this is happening against a team that rarely completes a forward pass.

We already knew that Lathan Ransom did not make the trip to New Jersey so that information was not new, but Denzel Burke being listed as out is a bit surprising. As always with these injury reports we get some good news and some bad and this week, with the good news coming in the return of receiver Emeka Egbuka.

Egbuka is extremely underrated in the national media as no one seems to be discussing the effectiveness of who is arguably the most consistent receiver at Ohio State.

The following is the whole availability report:

Out

  • CB Denzel Burke
  • WR Kiyon Grayes
  • DE Jason Moore
  • SAF Lathan Ransom
  • TE Joe Royer

Ohio State and Rutgers kickoff at noon ET and we’ll have plenty of coverage throughout and after the game, so check back often for opinion, news, and analysis througout.

Ohio State football issues injury, availability report for Maryland game, more healthy at running back

Ohio State gets a lot of the guys back that missed the game against Indiana, but there’s still one big absence this week at Maryland. #GoBucks

It’s been a year full of injuries for this talented Ohio State team meaning we’ve had more interest in the availability report that the Buckeye program releases the morning of every game day.

The fine folks at OSU just released injury information for the Maryland game and there are still some key members out. There is a bit of good news as it appears as though several players that were banged up will be back in the lineup on this frosty Saturday. TreVeyon Henderson is available after missing last week, as is cornerback Denzel Burke and right tackle Dawand Jones.

Missing, however, is still some running back depth with Miyan Williams listed as unavailable. And, as we suspected, star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be out yet again recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained in game one vs. Notre Dame. Also underrated perhaps is that long snapper Bradley Robinson is out.

Here’s a look at the full availability and injury report for Week 11 vs. Maryland.

Ohio State provides injury, availability report for Northwestern game

Ohio State is without three key members as it prepares to play Northwestern on the road Saturday. #GoBucks

The Ohio State football program doesn’t provide the typical injury report like other schools, instead providing a status and availability report just prior to kickoff.

With the Buckeyes traveling to the Chicagoland Saturday to take on Northwestern, we just received an update on injuries and which players will be available for the next step on the road to a hopeful Big Ten championship. Of note, OSU will be without three key members heading to Evanston.

As expected receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be unavailable and likely not ready until at least the Michigan game, but also missing for today somewhat surprisingly is running back TreVeyon Henderson. Miyan Williams is not listed as unavailable, so it’ll likely be his game to handle on the ground.

Also missing again is cornerback Cam Brown who has been out for multiple weeks now. Jordan Hancock has been getting more game reps coming back from injury himself, so look for him to start opposite of Denzel Burke again at cornerback.

Here’s the complete list of players that will not take part against Northwestern.

Ohio State releases player status availability information for Penn State game

The Ohio State football team released availability and injury concerns with the depth chart ahead of the game against Penn State.

[jwplayer gK2BUcEW]

Every Friday Ohio State releases information on the depth chart, status, and player availability for the upcoming game. That process continues in 2020 aside from the customary depth chart.

With the coronavirus pandemic still creating havoc in the world of sports and beyond, this status report takes on even more meaning as teams across the country try to make sure they have enough personnel to play contests without putting each other at risk.

The good news is that it looks like Ohio State continues to be in relatively good shape as it continues prep for tomorrow night’s game against a ranked and talented Penn State squad. One that will be reeling after losing to Indiana in extra time last weekend. Unlike last week, it looks like there are actually no game-time decisions meaning even wide receiver Chris Olave appears ready to go.

In fact, the team looks really healthy overall.

Here’s what we’ve been told by the fine folks at Ohio State.

Ohio State has released its player availability, injuries, and depth chart for the big one against Michigan Saturday.

Every Friday Ohio State releases information on the depth chart and player availability for the upcoming game. Next up is The Game on the road in The Big House against Michigan.

Ohio State has quite a few players out of action as you would expect this time of year, but look fairly healthy and almost everyone that’s been a part of this thing so far looks ready to go — including Justin Fields.

Somewhat surprising is Shaun Wade being listed as a game time decision, but who thinks he’s not going to be ready to go for the one he likely game to Ohio State to play.

Ohio State gets Chase Young back, but it also looks like it has the services of wide-receiver Austin Mack as well. It’s also worth noting that freshman Zach Harrison is listed as co-starter on the opposite edge with Jonathon Cooper.

There are still quite a few contributors out as you would expect this time of year, but the Buckeyes look to have most of its most important players available and active for the this top ten matchup.

Ohio State releases depth chart and availability information for Rutgers game

Ohio State released the depth chart and player availability, injuries for the game against Rutgers Saturday. Get a look at it here.

Every Friday Ohio State releases information on the depth chart and player availability for the upcoming game. Next up is a trip to Rutgers that should be nothing more than another tune up prior to a bigger one against Penn State the following week.

The Buckeyes will still be without arguably its best player because of the Chase Young’s suspension, but that didn’t seem to matter against Maryland last week. So the team will just keep moving forward, taking one game as it comes — and probably looking dominant in this one.

We’ve got the release of the depth chart from the fine folks at Ohio State, so were passing it on. We’ll start with player availability and injury, then provide the complete depth chart for the game against the Scarlet Knights.
