Oddsmakers: In no surprise, Bills are underdog vs. the Eagles in Week 12

#Eagles favored over the #Bills:

With the Philadelphia Eagles being the hosts for their upcoming clash with the Buffalo Bills and them being No. 1 seed in the NFC… it comes as no surprise that they’re the team favored by sportsbooks heading into Week 12.

The Eagles (9-1) have opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Bills (6-5), according to sportsbooks including BetMGM.

Considering the home team does get approximately a three-point bump in the spread… some could argue Philadelphia could even be favored by more. A bit of faith being showed in Buffalo?

Even so, the spread hasn’t really been very nice to Buffalo regardless. The Bills are 4-7 ATS this season. The Eagles are 6-2-2.

Their records against the points are even worse.

Buffalo is 3-8 and Philly is 5-5. The over/under for Week 12’s matchup opens at 48.5, the largest of the weekend.

The moneyline sits at Bills (+145) and Eagles (-175).

Thanksgiving best bets: One wager to make for every team playing on Thursday

Thanksgiving best bets: One wager to make for every team playing on Thursday:

This is a special week in the NFL, with six teams playing on Thursday as part of the Thanksgiving football tradition. Of course, the Cowboys and Lions will each play home games against the Commanders and Packers, respectively, while the NFC West also joins the spotlight with a Thursday night showdown between the 49ers and Seahawks.

All three are divisional matchups, which only adds to the fun.

Rather than doing our traditional Week 12 best bets, we have a special Thanksgiving edition this week. Our NFL editors each picked their favorite bet for their respective teams this Thanksgiving, including an exact-score bet that pays $30,000 for a $100 wager.

Here are our best bets for Thursday’s slate in Week 12. All odds courtesy of BetMGM:

2023 Heisman Trophy Odds Tracker Week 12: Bo Nix is the favorite, Jalen Milroe is the dark horse

Bo Nix may be the new Heisman Trophy favorite but he’s not in the clear yet

Each week this college football season, BetFTW will take a look at the 2023 Heisman Trophy race and break down the contenders. Check back every Tuesday as the best college football players in the country jockey for position with both oddsmakers and bettors. All odds via BetMGM. Past weeks here: PreseasonWeek 1Week 2Week 3Week 4, Week 5Week 6Week 7Week 8Week 9, Week 10, Week 11.

Anyone who could’ve guessed that Bo Nix would end up the Heisman Trophy favorite late in the 2023 season while Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe mounts a spoiler campaign deserves their own award.

The whole situation would be quite comical if it weren’t so exciting, really.

For years while he was at Auburn, and even early in his Oregon days, Nix assumed the dark horse moniker to a meme-worthy extent while Alabama’s Bryce Young and DeVonta Smith ran away with the trophy. So now that Nix is mounting the best season of his career while becoming the odds-on favorite to win the Heisman in 2024, guess who all the sudden has a pretty straightforward path to a seat in New York?

Yep. Milroe.

Some narratives write themselves.

Let’s dig into it while we count down the top 10 favorites to capture the Heisman heading into Week 12.

Other players in the field include European Ryder Cupper Ludvig Aberg, Russell Henley, Brian Harman, Corey Conners, and Cameron Young.

Aberg — the betting favorite at +1400 (14/1) — has tied for second (lost in a playoff), 13th and 10th in three starts this fall.

Steelers vs Browns: Pittsburgh 4-point road underdogs this week

Pittsburgh heads to Cleveland this week as underdogs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers went 2-1 on their latest three-game homestand to improve to 6-3 on the season. This week Pittsburgh gets back on the road for a huge AFC North showdown with the 6-3 Cleveland Browns.

The oddsmakers at BetMGM have the Steelers as four-point underdogs after the Browns pulled off a huge 33-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens last week. The win helps the Steelers in the standings as Pittsburgh currently has a win over both the Browns and Ravens.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

For Cleveland, much will depend on the health of quarterback Deshaun Watson. Watson injured his ankle against the Ravens but was only out of the game briefly. Nevertheless, reports indicate the team is going to run some tests on the injured ankle given the injury issues Watson has had this season and aren’t going to commit to whether or not he can play this week.

The Steelers and Browns squared off in Week Two of the season with Pittsburgh getting the 26-22 win. The Steelers offense was completely ineffective and depended on an injury to Browns running back Nick Chubb and two defensive touchdowns to secure the win.

10 teams with the best odds to win the CFB 2023 National Championship

The top 10 odds to win the College Football 2023 National Championship may shock you

After a very disappointing Week 2 loss to the Texas Longhorns and a narrow Week 3 win against the USF Bulls the Alabama Crimson Tide’s national championship odds seemed out the window. The Crimson Tide weren’t even in the top 20 teams with the best odds. Yet, as I always say, few people have gotten rich by betting against Nick Saban.

We are now entering Week 11 and the Crimson Tide are as much a part of the hunt as anyone. With only one loss and a clear path to being SEC Champions, the Tide have complete control over their own destiny. With road trips to Auburn and Kentucky this month, nothing is a given, but Alabama seems to keep finding ways to get better by the week.

See how the Tide’s 2023-24 national championship odds stack up against some of the other top contenders, according to BetMGM.

NFL Week 10 best bets: One wager to make for every team (including the Bills)

NFL Week 10 best bets: One wager to make for every team (including the #Bills):

The second half of the 2023 season officially begins this week with 14 games from Thursday to Monday night. It’s another week of what should be relatively close games, with only two contests featuring spreads larger than 6.5 points.

Things begin on Thursday night with the Panthers-Bears matchup and conclude on Monday night when the Broncos visit the Bills in an AFC showdown in Buffalo.

The NFL Wire editors have picked one bet to make on each team in the league this week. It’s a collection of player props, picks against the spread and more, giving bettors a nice variety of options in Week 10.

Note: The Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins and Eagles are on a bye this week.

All odds are courtesy of BetMGM.

Oddsmakers: Bills back to being favorite vs. Broncos in Week 10

Can the #Bills cover this week?

Despite a disappointing loss against the Cincinnati Bengals where the Buffalo Bills entered a contest for the first time as an underdog last week and lost… it’s right back to being the favorite.

According to sportsbooks including BetMGM, the Bills have opened as more than a touchdown favorite over the Denver Broncos ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup.

While Buffalo will be disappointed in their 5-4 record halfway through the 2023 season, bettors will be even more upset at them. Against the spread, the Bills are only 3-6.

Last week, Buffalo was a slight 1.5-point underdog and did not cover in Cincinnati.

The same can be said about Buffalo’s point totals, too. The under (51) hit against the Bengals in a 24-18 loss and the Bills are 3-6 against their totals this season.

Meanwhile, Denver did not cover last week either because they did not play. Fresh off their bye, the Broncos did do exactly that in their last outing, a win over the Kansas City Chiefs at home.

Like Buffalo, the Broncos are doing even worse than their overall record against the spread this season. Denver is 2-5-1 ATS but the Broncos have fared better against the points, an even .500 at 4-4.

The over/under for Monday’s matchup sits at 47. The moneyline reads at Bills (-375) and Broncos (+290).

2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship odds, course history and picks to win

Bhatia tied for 10th in Mexico and tied for 17th at last year’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

After a week south of the border, the PGA Tour is in Southampton, Bermuda, for the 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course.

Defending champion Seamus Power is not in the field due to a lingering hip injury that forced him to withdraw from the Irish Open in September. His last Tour start came at the BMW Championship during the FedEx Cup Playoffs where he finished solo 48th.

Adam Scott, who last tied for 41st at the Zozo Championship in Japan, is the betting favorite at +1600. On Monday, the Aussie was in Boston for Boston Common Golf’s — his TGL team — introductory press conference.

Other players in the field include Lucas Glover, Luke List and Akshay Bhatia.
