4 new Broncos players pick their jersey numbers

New Broncos players OL Dieter Eiselen (70), OT Cam Fleming (71), WR Kaden Davis (81) and WR A.T. Perry (87) picked their jersey numbers.

The Denver Broncos had a busy week making changes to the practice squad, bringing in four new players. Those new arrivals have now picked their jersey numbers.

Broncos center/guard Dieter Eiselen picked No. 70, which hasn’t been worn by a Denver player in a regular season game since former tackle Bobby Massie in 2021.

Returning tackle Cam Fleming picked No. 71, the number he wore with the New England Patriots to begin his career. He later switched to No. 75 with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants and then wore No. 73 with the Broncos from 2021-2023.

Returning wide receiver Kaden Davis picked No. 81, which was previously worn by receiver Tre’Quan Smith last fall and by Tim Patrick before that.

New receiver A.T. Perry picked No. 87, which was famously worn by former receiver Ed McCaffrey and most recently worn by receiver David Sills.

3 new Broncos players pick their jersey numbers

New Broncos LB Kwon Alexander (No. 12), RB Salvon Ahmed (No. 37) and LB Zach Cunningham (No. 42) have picked their jersey numbers.

After losing Alex Singleton to a season-ending knee injury, the Denver Broncos signed veterans Zach Cunningham and Kwon Alexander to the practice squad to add more depth at inside linebacker last week.

Alexander initially picked jersey No. 51, but he has since switched to No. 12, which was previously worn by former Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick. Cunningham picked jersey No. 42. That number became available after pass rusher Nik Bonitto switched to No. 15 this summer.

This week, after losing Tyler Badie to a back injury, the Broncos signed Salvon Ahmed to add more depth at running back. Ahmed picked jersey No. 37, which was previously worn by rookie Audric Estime this summer before he switched to No. 23 after roster cuts.

Denver wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey switched from No. 17 to No. 84 and fellow receiver Devaughn Vele then switched from No. 81 to No. 17. Additionally, Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto switched from No. 42 to No. 15. Welch picked No. 57.

These changes arrive after four other players previously changed their numbers last week. View the team’s new numbers below.

Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell No. 4 no more, 3 others switch back to their college numbers

Three Raiders switching back to their old college numbers, Aidan O’Connell shedding No 4

More Raiders players are joining the number switching party.

QB Aidan O’Connell will now wear No. 12, switching from the No. 4 he wore as a rookie and which Derek Carr had worn for nine years in Silver & Black.

Safety Tre’von Moehrig will begin wearing No. 7 after wearing No. 25 his first two seasons with the team. Moehrig wore No. 7 in college at TCU.

Two others are getting their college numbers back. Running back Zamir White is switching to the No. 3 he wore at Georgia after wearing No. 35 his first two seasons. While his backfield mate Amir Abdullah is switching to the No. 8 he wore at Nebraska after wearing No. 22 the past two seasons with the team. He was unable to get the number last year as Josh Jacobs wore it.

O’Connell wore 13 and 16 at Purdue. Those numbers currently belong to QB Anthony Brown and WR Jakobi Meyers respectively. As it happens, both of are also wearing their college numbers.

It’s interesting seeing all the players taking advantage of the rule that allows more than just QB’s and kickers to wear single digit numbers. Players become attached to their college numbers and so it’s special for them when they get a chance to wear it again.

Packers give out uniform numbers to Day 3 picks in 2024 draft

Uniform numbers for Day 3 picks of the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 draft.

The Green Bay Packers handed out uniform numbers to their six Day 3 picks in the 2024 NFL draft.

To recap: First-round pick Jordan Morgan will wear No. 77, second-round pick Edgerrin Cooper will wear No. 56, second-round pick Javon Bullard will wear No. 20, third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd will wear No. 32 and third-round pick Ty’Ron Hopper will wear No. 59.

Here are the Day 3 picks:

DB Evan Williams: No. 33

Aaron Jones’ old number didn’t stay vacant for long. Williams wore No. 32 at Fresno State and No. 33 at Oregon.

OL Jacob Monk: No. 62

The last two players to wear No. 62? Lucas Patrick and Evan Dietrich-Smith. Monk is likely to play center in Green Bay.

S Kitan Oladapo: No. 27

Patrick Taylor, who is now in San Francisco, wore No. 27 from 2020 to 2023. Eddie Lacy and Terrell Buckley are the most well-known former players to wear the number. Others include 2017 second-round pick Josh Jones, 2006 fourth-round pick Will Blackmon and Anthony Smith, a Super Bowl winner in 2010. Oladapo wore No. 28, but A.J. Dillon retained the number.

OL Travis Glover: No. 79

His collegiate No. 52 is currently in use (Rashan Gary). The last player to wear No. 79 in a game for the Packers was Dennis Kelly.

QB Michael Pratt: No. 17

A little surprising, knowing kicker Anders Carlson already wears No. 17. Obviously, Davante Adams is the best player in team history to wear the number. Former quarterback David Whitehurst also wore No. 17. So did Hall of Famer Ceil Isbell.

CB Kalen King: No. 34

King wore No. 4 at Penn State, but the Packers have No. 4 retired for Brett Favre. No. 24 isn’t available (Tyler Coyle), so King will start at No. 34, last worn by Jonathan Owens last season.

But these are the number the rookies will wear when they report to rookie minicamp and OTA’s.
