Watch: Notre Dame football targets dominate in Dallas Pylon event

Highlights from the Dallas Pylon 7 on 7 event who hold Notre Dame offers.

It is the offseason for high school athletes, which means going to camps, getting individual and group workouts along with competing in 7 vs. 7 tournaments.

The latter was happening in Dallas, Texas this weekend with the Pylon 7 vs. 7 tournament. Plenty of Notre Dame targets were in attendance and there were highlights that Notre Dame fans needed to see. Here are some of the top 2022 and 2023 targets highlights who have Notre Dame offers. I also have personally seen three of the four prospects featured, and they are more than impressive. Also, two of them were on my 2022 offensive wish list as well.

Notre Dame Recruiting update plus 2022 offensive wishlist

An update of the latest Notre Dame football recruiting news along with a 2022 offensive wish list.

The Notre Dame 2021 class is pretty much all wrapped up. With 26 players who have signed their letter of intent, Brian Kelly’s class has been pretty much maxed out. Louisiana’s Logan Diggs remains committed, but reading the tea leaves and the class having over the allotted 25 players, it’s doubtful that the running back ends up signing with the Irish on the second signing day, February 3rd.

So the focus has been turned to the 2022 class, which has 4 current commits (offensive linemen Joey Tanona and Ty Chan, safety Nolan Ziegler and tight end Jack Nickel). Let’s take a look at the most recent news on that class along with my personal wishlist of offensive prospects in that class. Next week, I’ll bring you my defensive wish list.

Offers flowing out of South Bend again, Irish after top Texas RB Blue

Notre Dame goes out to the Lone Star state to offer Jaydon Blue, one of the best running backs in the country.

We have noted that the Notre Dame coaching staff is really working hard on the recruiting trail, specifically the 2022 and 2023 classes just this week. Yet another offer went out today, this time to Texas’ star running back Jaydon Blue.

Blue is viewed as one of the best in the nation, as he was named by Rivals as their top running back and 247Sports has him ranked as their 4th best running back. Multiple schools have noticed Blue already including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, USC and a load of other top schools. He is currently reporting 29 offers and Blue has yet to play a down in his junior year, pretty damn impressive.

Although Blue isn’t the tallest running back, at just 5-foot-10-inches, he’s compact and runs very balanced. Shows good hands and has breakaway speed. Just watch his highlights and it’s easy to see why he’s so highly regarded by collegiate teams.

That now makes six running backs offered in the 2022 class, the second one this week behind Damari Alston. The Irish have two commits in that class, offensive tackle Joey Tanona and tight end Jack Nickel, and would love to see Blue being added to the group.

Irish offer Massive Class of ‘22 Tackle from South Carolina

Notre Dame continues to attack the offensive line class of 2022, this time going out east to offer an offensive tackle.

For a sophomore going into his junior year in Greenville, South Carolina, Collin Sadler will most likely have his choice of virtually any school he would like to attend to play collegiate football. The 6’6” and 295-pound tackle got his Notre Dame offer yesterday as they joined an impressive list at this early stage in his recruitment.

Sadler adds the Irish verbal offer after already collecting the same from Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Oregon and others. It might be tough getting him to leave the state as the Tiger’s are his perceived leader at this moment.

The massive tackle isn’t just a large body, as his Greenville team has him pulling on outside run plays while also getting to the outside to block screens. Sadler is the ninth offensive tackle Brian Kelly and offensive line coach Jeff Quinn have offered. At the current moment, the Irish do not have any commits in the 2022 class and are looking for their first pledge from the rising junior class.
