ACC men’s basketball leaders as of Nov. 26

No Notre Dame players on this list.

We are heading into the end of November. What does this mean as far as college basketball? Not much because no conference games have been played yet, so we only are left to imagine how well the current statistical leaders will play against that competition. Until then, here are those leaders as we get close to December:

North Carolina QB Drake Maye Injured vs. NC State

Drake Maye’s injury puts his status for North Carolina’s bowl game into question.

In what seems like almost a worst-case scenario for a future first-round pick, North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye suffered an apparent ankle injury in the fourth quarter of a rivalry game vs NC State. Maye was attempting to make a big comeback in a game that was beginning to look like a blowout when he was unfortunately ruled out for the remained of the contest.

Maye was battling to be considered the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and if this injury is any sort of serious that could seriously affect his position this April. We of course are holding out for the best news and that Maye can return in time for North Carolina’s upcoming bowl game and begin the pre-draft process afterward.

Here are the best images from Arkansas’ 15-point loss to North Carolina on Friday in the Battle 4 Atlantis third place game.

Arkansas hasn’t beaten North Carolina on the hardwood since the 1995 Final Four in Seattle.

The Tar Heels have won the last five meetings after Friday’s 15-point victory in the third place game of the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Eric Musselman’s team will face UNC’s most hated rival, the Duke Blue Devils, in its next meeting on Wednesday night in Bud Walton Arena.

The status of Tramon Mark for that game will likely be up in the air, along with Jalen Graham, who didn’t make the trip to the Bahamas because of lingering back spasms.

Here are the best images from Friday’s third place tilt.

North Carolina flexes muscle in third place win over Razorbacks

North Carolina handed Arkansas yet another loss in the third place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas.

The Battle 4 Atlantis third place game was competitive for the first 30 minutes, but North Carolina’s length and experience led it to a comfortable win in the final 10 minutes.

Hubert Davis’ Tar Heels ended up with a 87-72 victory, sending Arkansas home in fourth place and now nursing a two-game losing streak that could easily turn into three with Duke coming to Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday night.

Tramon Mark did his part, scoring 34 points on 13 of 17 shooting, but didn’t get enough help in the scoring column from his teammates. He went down with an injury late in the contest and was taken off in a stretcher.

The Razorbacks (4-3) got very little from Trevon Brazile or Davonte Davis, as the pair started and played combined 42 minutes and didn’t score a point, while committing four turnovers and six fouls.

Arkansas led 38-35 at intermission. Mark had 20 first half points, and Layden Blocker had a steal and dunk at the other end to finish at the halftime horn.

Jeremiah Davenport had nine points in just 25 minutes of action, along with a steal.
