Travis Kelce hilariously defended Swifties from Jason Kelce on the latest New Heights podcast

Taylor Swift fans are going to love Travis Kelce for this even more than they do.

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are at Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas, with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end getting ready for the big title game against the San Francisco 49ers, and his Eagles center brother will be there to cheer him on.

But before all that, they dropped a New Heights podcast episode that was all in person! And while I haven’t heard any chatter about Taylor Swift in there yet, there was a hilarious exchange about Swifties over the show’s “best NFL team name” bracket, in which the Chiefs were eliminated, leaving the Steelers, Bills, Eagles and Vikings.

They wanted people to vote without bias, but then Travis accused Jason of campaigning for the Bills and others … and then Jason invoked Swift fans, and it all got chaotic (and all in good fun) as Travis said, “This is ridiculous that you’re throwing everything on the Swifties!”

Why there’s no new New Heights podcast episode with Travis and Jason Kelce on Wednesday, February 7 2024

This explains why there’s no new New Heights on Wednesday.

If you’re like me and you wake up every Wednesday excited to hear the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, you might be wondering on February 7, 2024: What gives? Where’s the new episode?

Good question! You’ve come to the right place for an answer!

As you probably know, Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs are currently in Las Vegas for Super Bowl 58 … and wouldn’t you know it? Jason has decided to be there too! So as the show announced this week, the show will be an in-person, Super Bowl preview ep that will premiere on Thursday instead!

Can’t wait!

Jason Kelce playfully trolled his wife Kylie on New Heights about her desire to get a cat

Oh, the Kelces are definitely going to end up getting a cat.

Eagles center Jason Kelce doesn’t want a cat. The problem? His wife, Kylie, does. This back-and-forth has been happening for a few weeks after Kylie joined a family special New Heights episode to close out 2023. On the podcast, which Jason co-hosts with little brother Travis, Kylie talked about her desire to add a feline to the Kelce crew.

The conversations escalated when Kylie used Jason’s own hilarious quote about launching himself out of the suite in Buffalo back at him via a comment on social media. “‘I’m not asking for permission, I’m doing this.’ — the exact quote I will say when I’m grabbing the keys to go get a cat,” read her Instagram reply to the New Heights clip.

On this week’s episode, the cat came up once again. “Ky tweeted this or Instagrammed this and immediately, I googled ‘how to lose a cat,'” Jason said.

“Nothing came up. The only thing that came up was like, ‘Oh, are you sad you just lost a cat?'” Kelce continued with a lighthearted tone, “Like, no, I need to lose a cat. I’m not worried about losing it. I want to lose it, and I’m surprised that there was nowhere to research good ways to accidentally lose a cat.”

Silly Jason. You can’t lose a cat, they just do whatever they want. Either way, we’re all excited for the Kelces to get their inevitable cat.

Travis Kelce calls out ‘[expletive]’ Justin Tucker while breaking down Chiefs – Ravens pregame spat on New Heights podcast

Travis Kelce had an NSFW breakdown of the Justin Tucker incident in the AFC title game.

Yes, Travis Kelce spilled some tea over the pre-AFC title game incident in which he and Patrick Mahomes had to forcibly move some of Justin Tucker’s equipment while the Baltimore Ravens kicker warmed up right where Mahomes was doing the same.

We knew — along with the Chiefs teammates — that it was some pre-playoff contest mind games, although Tucker claimed he didn’t do anything different than what he’s done the past 12 years of his career.

On the latest New Heights podcast, Kelce and his brother Jason broke down the incident around the 23-minute mark. Travis explained that both teams have their own sides of the field, and specialists like kickers get a chance to kick to both sets of goal posts. The unwritten rule is to generally stay on your own side of the field.

“If you want to be a [expletive]ing [different expletive] about it, you keep your helmet and your football and your [expletive]ing kicking tee right where the quarterbacks are warming up,” Travis remarked. “If you’re not going to pick that up, I’ll happily move that for you.”

Travis went on to say Tucker was winking at him, so they knew what was up. He finished by apologizing for “[taking] it to a level that you didn’t think it could get to,” but added that “if you’re going to be an [expletive], I promise you I can one-up you every time.”

‘Rookie’ Taylor Swift gets a Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce shoutout for joining the Chiefs on New Heights podcast

Taylor Swift got a funny shoutout on the latest New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce.

Taylor Swift has won another award before the 2024 Grammys on Sunday.

On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother — the Philadelphia Eagles center — broke down Sunday’s AFC title game, and as we’ve seen in previous eps, Swift’s name came up.

This time, it was them joking about how Swift made the Super Bowl in “her rookie year.” Jason made that joke, and Travis laughed, replying, “Shoutout to Tay, thanks for joining the team.”

LOL that’s too good and of course we always love when Travis calls his girlfriend “Tay.”

New Heights podcast teases upcoming episode with hilarious Jason Kelce shirtless meme video

The New Heights social team knew exactly what they were doing with this tease.

Shirtless Jason Kelce continues to be the meme that keeps on giving. After Kelce stole the show during the Kansas City Chiefs’ 27-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills during the AFC divisional round Sunday night, the hilarious meme has become inescapable on social media.

And now, the New Heights podcast cashed in on the moment in a big way with an incredible tease of their upcoming episode. New Heights — Jason and brother Travis Kelce’s podcast — has exploded in popularity this season for a variety of reasons and this weeks’ episode might just be their best yet.

On Monday, New Heights teased Wednesday’s show with a hilarious video memeing Jason Kelce’s shirtless moment, set to the iconic meme song “Shooting Stars”. Not only that, the video features a plethora of other memes for Philadelphia sports fans and pop culture fans alike.

Wednesday’s podcast is definitely going to be one to remember if this is how they’re teasing it.

Jason Kelce tearfully addresses retirement talk with Travis Kelce on New Heights podcast

The center didn’t actually say he was retiring, despite reports.

Despite multiple reports on Tuesday that legendary center Jason Kelce would be retiring after the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff loss — in which we saw him get choked up and share a sweet moment with his family — he’s not saying one way or another on the New Heights podcast ep that dropped on Wednesday.

Kelce said he didn’t think you could make a retirement decision in the postgame moment with so much emotion, and he promised that he wasn’t trying to draw his decision out.

“When it’s time to officially announce what’s happening in the future, it’ll be done in a way that’s definitive and pays respect to a lot of people and individuals that have meant a lot to me and what has led to the career I’ve had,” he said. “I don’t think that it would be respectful or even accurate to be able to do that right after a game like that.”

But there was a moment that Kelce broke down while talking to his brother Travis.

“Lotta guys [said]: ‘If that is your last game, I feel sorry for you.’ I’m like, ‘Don’t feel sorry for me, mother [expletive]. I had a [expletive] …” Then he trailed off, and you could hear him reacting with emotion.

Travis replied, “Hell yeah, man.”

Here it is at the 35-minute mark:

UPDATE: Here’s video:

Travis Kelce proudly said ‘Go Birds!’ in the latest New Heights episode and Eagles fans loved it

He had a great reason for it.

Despite the two teams meeting in last year’s Super Bowl and looking like serious contenders to repeat that matchup, few would consider the Eagles and Chiefs as actual rivals. They simply don’t play each other often enough for that.

And with brothers Travis and Jason Kelce playing for the Chiefs and Eagles respectively, the two root for each other when they aren’t opponents. Still, that doesn’t mean they’ll be regularly shouting “Go Birds!” or “Go Chiefs!” in public … unless they have a good reason for it.

During Wednesday’s edition of the New Heights podcast, Travis had a fantastic reason to shout out his brother’s team.

Eagles superfan, actor and Wrexham AFC co-owner Rob McElhenney joined the podcast to discuss the auction for Kylie Kelce’s letterman’s jacket, which raised money for the Eagles Autism Foundation. That was when McElhenney pointed out that his $62,000 bid wasn’t enough. Instead, McElhenney’s wife and Always Sunny co-star Kaitlin Olson jumped in the frame and revealed that she outbid McElhenney with a $100,000 bid of her own. What a plot twist.

Given the great cause, Travis was pumped about the news and said, “Go Birds, baby!”

Jason, Rob and Kaitlin all loved to hear that … as did Eagles fans on X/Twitter.

Could Taylor Swift appear on the Kelces’ latest New Heights podcast? Her fans hope so

Taylor Swift could break the internet on Wednesday on the Travis and Jason Kelce podcast.

Let’s piece it all together.

Taylor Swift, per her fans tracking her plane and other sources, landed in Kansas City on Monday. That means she’s probably reuniting with Travis Kelce.

And what does Travis tape on Tuesdays? Yep, the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce.

That could mean — and I’m TOTALLY speculating here — that Swift could break the internet and do a cameo on it, whether on video or audio or both. Or, as some people are speculating, maybe all those times Travis was distracted by text messages could happen in real life, with Travis looking to Taylor off camera.

Either way, this is something Swift fans are really, really, REALLY hoping for:

We’ll find out on Wednesday!

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce praises Tony Gonzalez after breaking franchise record

#Chiefs TE Travis Kelce praises legend Tony Gonzalez after breaking the franchise’s record for receiving yards

The career of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues to rise to new heights, more than his work on the popular podcast series. He became the franchise’s all-time leader in career receiving yards during the team’s Week 9 victory, etching his place in Chiefs history over another legendary tight end.

On the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason, Kelce reflected on breaking the franchise’s receiving yards record held previously by Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez.

“I should have broken this record like three games ago,” Kelce said. “I’m just sitting here either way. It’s an absolute [expletive] honor ever since I came here to Kansas City to be mentored by the greatest tight end to ever do it in Tony Gonzalez. To try and fill his shoes every single day and try to reach some of the milestones he’s set like [the] receiving yards in the franchise history. It’s just an honor to even be here in K.C. to know greatness has walked [these] halls, and I can be a part of that greatness.”

Kelce is still seeking the Chiefs’ franchise record for receptions as he currently stands at 871, trailing only Gonzales’ 916. The job is far from over, but Kelce has essentially secured his spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
