What’s next for the Philadelphia Eagles following the 2023 NFL Draft

The 2023 NFL draft is in the books, but plenty of offseason action is still on the way for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Outside of the on-field action with rookie minicamp and organized team activities (OTAs), the NFL is also gearing up for its 2023 schedule release.

The Eagles welcomed seven newly drafted rookies to the roster, including defensive tackle Jalen Carter,  edge rusher Nolan Smith, offensive guard Tyler Steen, safety Sydney Brown, cornerback Kelee Ringo, quarterback Tanner McKee and defensive tackle Moro Ojomo.

Philadelphia also signed nine undrafted free agents.

Here’s a look at the Eagles’ upcoming 2023 off-season slate, including rookie minicamp, OTAs, and mandatory minicamp.

Nevada vs UNLV What’s Going To Happen

The battle for the Fremont Cannon will have to be it.

UNLV should’ve at least come into this with bowl eligibility on the line, but instead it couldn’t get by a bad Hawaii team as part of a brutal six-game losing streak to ensure a losing season.

It could be worse – Nevada is on a nine-game losing streak after starting 2-0.

The Wolf Pack offense never got going and now it just stopped. The passing game that was supposed to work is struggling just to complete passes, the ground game isn’t making up for it, and the defense is coming off two ugly poundings from Boise State and Fresno State.

UNLV’s passing game will be decent, the defense will hold down the Nevada running game, and after two losses in the series it’s about to take the rivalry back.

Why Fresno State Will Win

The passing game has gone up a few notches.

As it turned out, Jake Haener really is that good. The team survived the month he was out hurt, but now he and the Bulldogs are ripping everyone apart.

The air show is clicking at an 82% clip over the last two weeks with seven touchdown passes and no interceptions, and that’s coming off the thrilling comeback win over San Diego State.

The Nevada pass defense isn’t going to have too many answers, but …

Bowl Projections | 10 Best Picks Against the Spread

Why Nevada Will Win

So what’s going right for Nevada over the eight game losing streak?

Not much, but there aren’t a lot of problems with turnovers, the defensive front isn’t bad at getting behind the line, and there should be just enough pressure on Haener to slow things down a wee bit.

Fresno State isn’t above turning it over a slew of times – giving it away at least twice in five games – but …

What’s Going To Happen

Nevada won’t be able to keep up.

It played well in the loss to San Jose State a few weeks ago, but the running game isn’t going anywhere, the passing attack isn’t accurate or consistent, and  Fresno State is rolling.

It takes the West Division title and it’s off to the Mountain West Championship with a win. It won’t have to sweat too much.

Boise State vs Nevada Game Preview

Why Boise State Will Win

It all stalled in last week’s tough 31-28 loss to BYU, but the ground game has been dominant over the second half of the season with well over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns in the last five games.

Boise State’s offense has been a powerhouse with the passing game balancing things out with 200 yards, the defense is the best in the Mountain West, and Nevada won’t be able to handle any of it.

10 Best Picks Against The Spread

Why Nevada Will Win

Can the Nevada passing game work?

BYU’s offense had stalled, but Jaren Hall was able to bomb away for 377 yards on the Bronco secondary that hadn’t faced a whole slew of teams that can throw – it missed Jake Haener in the win over Fresno State.

The Wolf Pack can’t hold up on the lines, so it needs to throw and keep throwing – they have to put it in the air at least 40 times, and …

What’s Going To Happen

It’s not going to be enough.

Boise State still has work to do to lock up the Mountain division no matter what, but it’ll take a big step forward with a relatively stress-free win.

Pound, rely on the defense, repeat.

Golfweek’s Best 2022: Top public and private courses in Nevada

Shadow Creek, the top public-access golf course in Nevada, requires a hefty green fee, but there are other options.

Shadow Creek, the top-rated public-access golf course in Nevada, is famed for being unlike just about any other daily-fee or casino-operated layout anywhere. It’s a Tom Fazio-created oasis hidden out of reach for most golfers.

In general, players must stay at an MGM Resorts International property to obtain access, and a round at Shadow Creek includes a limousine ride to the course. The layout, recently made even more famous with several made-for-tv and PGA Tour competitions, isn’t really looking to boost rounds played and boasts a green fee that can reach as high as a reported $1,000. Golfweek’s Best raters have ranked it as the No. 10 course built in the U.S. since 1960.

But there are plenty of other public-access options around Las Vegas and across Nevada. Keep scrolling to see the best of them.

Golfweek’s Best offers many lists of course rankings, with that of top public-access courses in each state among the most popular. All the courses on this list allow public access in some fashion, be it standard daily green fees, through a resort or by staying at an affiliated hotel. If there’s a will, there’s a tee time.

Also popular are the Golfweek’s Best rankings of top private courses in each state, and that list for Nevada’s private offerings is likewise included below.

(m): Modern course, built in or after 1960
(c): Classic course, built before 1960
