Philadelphia also signed nine undrafted free agents.

Here’s a look at the Eagles’ upcoming 2023 off-season slate, including rookie minicamp, OTAs, and mandatory minicamp.

Penn State QB Sean Clifford was among Giants’ local pro day attendees

The New York Giants held their local pro day on Thursday and Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford was among the attendees.

The New York Giants held their local pro day on Thursday and Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford was among the attendees.

Clifford is projected to be a Day 3 selection in the 2023 NFL draft.

Clifford had a five-year career for the Nittany Lions with his first coming one year after Penn State legend Saquon Barkley departed.

Clifford had a relatively underwhelming college career with the hype surrounding him and his Penn State teams. Turnovers (31 career interceptions) and accuracy were huge problems for him as he was prone to making bad throws against the tough Big Ten defenses he faced.

However, Clifford did end up with over 10,000 yards passing, 1,000 yards rushing, and 101 total touchdowns in his collegiate career.

The Giants are in the market for a third-string quarterback for the offseason as they only have Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor under contract for the time being. Clifford could be a target for Big Blue in the sixth round to the undrafted free agent window.

Meanwhile, other local pro day attendees include Delaware linebacker Johnny Buchanan, Rutgers defensive back Christian Izien, Purdue long-snapper Nick Zecchino, Princeton tight end Carson Bobo and Temple defensive lineman Xach Gill, reports Art Stapleton of USA TODAY.

Delaware LB Johnny Buchanan will attend Giants’ local pro day

The New York Giants will host Delaware linebacker Johnny Buchanan at their local pro day.

Delaware linebacker Johnny Buchanan, who led the FCS with 150 tackles in 2022, will attend the local pro days for the New York Giants, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to his 150 tackles, Buchanan also recorded 8.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass defensed last season. He had nine games with at least 10 tackles and five games with at least 15 tackles.

Buchanan is largely viewed as a late-round or priority undrafted prospect, which undoubtedly piques the Giants’ interest given their three seventh-round picks.

Although a bit undersized at 6-foot and 230 pounds, Buchanan lives and breathes football.

“The team that signs me will be getting a player that lives football 24/7. They will be getting someone that prepares like a true professional and always works hard. I can make a big impact on defense and all special teams units. I can also be utilized on the offensive side of the ball if needed. I am someone that will always be a great locker room guy and always represent my team in a positive way. I also bring the ability to lead a group of men and help build/uphold the standard of an organization,” Buchanan told NFL Draft Diamonds.

Report: Delaware linebacker Johnny Buchanan to participate in Eagles’ local pro day

University of Delaware All-American linebacker Johnny Buchanan will work out for Philadelphia at the Eagles’ upcoming local pro day.

The Eagles love to hit on late-round or undrafted collegiate talent, and local linebacker Johnny Buchanan could be a player to watch in the coming weeks.

The Brick, New Jersey, was a tackling machine at FCS Delaware, and he’s expected to give an up-close look to Howie Roseman and company at the team’s annual local pro day, according to Ryan Fowler.

The 6-foot, 230-pound Buchanan was a three-times All-CAA selection that led the FCS in tackles (150) in 2022 while also logging 8.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup.

Buchanan had nine games with at least ten tackles, including five with at least 15, and would follow the Reed Blankenship path if he goes undrafted.
