Nashville SC vs. Colorado Rapids odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Nashville SC vs. Colorado Rapids odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

The Colorado Rapids (8 wins, 11 losses, 8 draws) travel to face Nashville SC (10-9-9) at GEODIS Park Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Nashville SC vs. Colorado Rapids odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

After going winless in 6 straight matches, Nashville SC has found its groove as of late, beating its last two opponents (Vancouver and FC Dallas) by a combined score of 7-0.

Nashville is led by one of the best forwards in MLS, Hany Mukhtar. He has 16 goals and 7 assists on the season, leading the team in both categories. It sits in 5th place in the West.

Colorado is on the outside looking in. It sits in 11th and will need to make up 5 points on the 7th-placed LA Galaxy to reach the playoffs.

The Rapids have been awful on the road this season though, posting just a 1-9-3 record. Things appeared to be looking up after 2 straight wins over the New York Red Bulls and Minnesota United, but they’re now winless in 4 straight contests.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, Colorado Rapids 1

Money line (ML)

BET NASHVILLE SC (-155).

I don’t love the value tied to this, but the Rapids have been too sloppy on the road not to take the home side. Colorado has lost 9 of 13 road matches and has lost 2 straight away from DSG Park.

The confidence is there for Nashville. The home team has won 2 straight contests and both games have been dominant efforts by the D Walker Zimmerman-led side. He’s been huge this season and should be able to tame a solid Rapids attack.

Colorado’s weakness isn’t in its offense, but rather that it allows 1.7 goals per game. It has just 1 clean sheet since May 23. Given Nashville has scored 7 goals in its last 2 games, the Rapids should have no chance to keep up.

Colorado lost 6-0 at Philadelphia Saturday as well. That may be a killer for its confidence, especially as it continues to edge lower in the playoff standings. Combine it all, and I’ll take the home side.

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN OVER 2.5 (-160).

The value really isn’t great here which is why it is just a lean, but considering the strengths and weaknesses of both clubs, it is certainly the most reasonable play. Colorado has gone Over this total in 5 of its last 8 games.

The Rapids have allowed multiple goals in 5 of those 8 as well. They’ve also scored in all but 2 games since May 7, so they typically get on the board as well. Colorado is paced in scoring by F Diego Rubio who has 12 goals on the season.

Nashville has gone over this in 4 of its last 5 home matches and in 4 straight games. While I do like the OVER 2.5 (-160), my favorite play might be a PARLAY PLAY OF OVER 1.5 at (-540) and NASHVILLE SC (-150) combined to odds of (-118).

FC Cincinnati vs. Nashville SC odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s FC Cincinnati vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

FC Cincinnati (7 wins, 8 losses, 6 draws) hosts Nashville SC (8-7-6) at TQL Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the FC Cincinnati vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

MLS All-Star M Lucho Acosta will be back in action, after serving a 2-game suspension, which FCC went 0-1-1 in. Acosta ranks third in the MLS in total attacking assists.

F Brandon Vazquez leads the team in scoring, though, with 10 goals on the season. FCC has been surprisingly worse at home, posting just a 3-4-3 record at TQL Stadium.

As for Nashville, after moving to the Western Conference, it has continued its tear, sitting in 5th place. It has a zero-goal differential, having scored and given up 27.

Nashville is led by star F Hany Mukhtar. He has the 2nd-most goals in the league, below NYCFC’s F Valentín Castellanos. Mukhtar is by far and away the leader in shots on target.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, FC Cincinnati 1

Money line (ML)

BET NASHVILLE SC +165.

Nashville has been solid this season against Eastern Conference foes, posting a 3-1-2 record. Two of those 3 wins came on the road as well. It is actually 2-0-1 against East teams in playoff position as well.

FCC, on the other hand, hasn’t fared well against Western Conference teams. The West is widely considered the more challenging conference. FCC has lost both matches, one at home, against West teams.

While FCC is a much-improved side, they lost 11-5 in total throughout the 2 sides’ 3 matches a season ago.

The home side is allowing 1.76 goals per game, which won’t hold up well against an offense as dominant as Nashville’s. Expect the road side to continue their success against FCC and win this match.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-120).

FCC ranks t-4th in the East in goals and 3rd in goals allowed.

They play quickly and aren’t a strong defensive side. FCC has gone over 3.5 combined goals in 5 of 10 home matches and has topped 4.5 home goals in 2 of their last 3.

They went over this total in all 3 matches between the sides a season ago and over 3.5 goals in 2 of the 3. Nashville has also topped 2.5 in 5 of its last 6.

Over 2.5 (-120) seems like a slam dunk, and I would even consider playing Over 3.5 (+190) as well.

Orlando City SC at Nashville SC odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Orlando City SC at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In midweek MLS action, Orlando City SC (10 wins, 8 losses, 8 draws) visit Nashville SC (11-3-12). The match will kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium. Below, we preview the Orlando City SC vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

This is a clash of two of the Eastern Conference’s best clubs. Orlando, currently in fifth, could jolt ahead of New York City FC for the third spot in the conference with a win.

Nashville is second in the East with the most draws in MLS. It has a spotless home record with eight wins and six draws. This will be Nashville’s15th home game, so it still has a tough road stretch.

Nashville is led by M Hany Mukhtar and D Walker Zimmerman. Zimmerman was part of MLS’s Best XI in 2019.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, Orlando City SC 1

Money line (ML)

PASS on Nashville (-145) as the value just isn’t there.

I expect Nashville to win this game, but at that value and with the possibility of a draw, I wouldn’t back it. These two teams drew 1-1 in their last meeting, and with Orlando having shown flashes of a top-tier side, I wouldn’t look to the money line to bet this one.

What I would back is BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-117). While the value isn’t that much better, it’s an overall better risk.

Orlando has had a soft defense this season while allowing 38 goals through 26 matches. However, it has also scored 37 times. Nashville is in a similar situation just with a stronger defense, having poured in 44 goals and allowing just 26.

Nashville scored in eight of its last nine matches and averages more than 2 goals per game at home. Orlando City averages over a goal per game on the road and scored in 9 of its last 11 games.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 2.5 (-110) as Nashville has turned on the heat lately.

It has averaged 2 goals per game over the last six games and scored 5 goals in 3 of its last 15 matches. Mukhtar has stepped into full stardom this season.

It’s also telling that Orlando City allowed at least 2 goals in five straight games. OSC has struggled heavily in defense over the past month.

Combine a power offense, a capable offense and a lacking defense, and you should get at least 3 goals Wednesday.

New York City FC at Nashville SC odds, expert picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s New York City FC at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In one of four MLS matches Friday, New York City FC (10 wins, 6 losses, 4 draws) travel south to take on Nashville SC (8-2-11) at Nissan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the New York City FC vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

After a quality 2-0 home victory against the top-ranked New England Revolution, New York City FC takes to the road. It lost its last road game to the Philadelphia Union Aug. 18.

NYCFC enters Friday fourth in the Eastern Conference. However, it’s just 2-4-3 on the road. It takes on third place Nashville, a side with the most draws in MLS.

Having played 13 of 21 games at home, Nashville is yet to lose at Nissan Stadium. With D Walker Zimmerman still sidelined, Nashville will be down a key piece in the backline.

Prediction

Nashville SC 1, New York City FC 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to the DRAW (+210) as both teams have shown enough competence to not bet against. As noted, Nashville has the most draws in the league and has six in 13 home matches.

The key Eastern Conference battle could easily end 1-1. Both teams have 34 or more goals scored but have allowed just under a goal per game.

Expect both sides to break through at least once. This will be the first time both teams meet this season with Nashville 1-0-2 against the top two teams in the East.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (-145) as both teams are healthy and competitive. Despite Zimmerman being sidelined, Nashville SC has defended well.

It has allowed just 6 goals over its last eight games and the Under hit in four of the last six matches. NYCFC hit the Under 2.5 combined goals in four of its last five matches.

Given both sides are solid defensively, the Under looks like the better value.

Orlando City SC at Nashville SC odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Orlando City SC at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In one of many MLS games Wednesday, Orlando City SC (8 wins, 4 losses, 6 draws) visits Nashville SC (7-2-10) at Nissan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Orlando City SC vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Nashville is yet again playing at home, where it has played 12 of 19 games this season. Only the Chicago Fire who have played more home games, with 13 of 19 matches at Soldier Field. Unlike Chicago, Nashville has been unstoppable at Nissan Stadium.

It has won seven of 12 home games and tied the other five. Both of Nashville’s losses were on the road; Orlando is 3-3-3 on the road.

With F Nani leading the way, Orlando will try to pull off the upset, especially after drawing its last two matches. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Nani used as a substitute following a full 90-minute performance Thursday in the Leagues Cup.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, Orlando City SC 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to NASHVILLE SC (-133) as it hosts a tired Orlando City side.

As noted, Nani may not start since the 34-year-old played the entire match Thursday in the Leagues Cup. If so, the Orlando attack, as it saw against FC Cincinnati two games back, will be hampered.

Additionally, Nashville has been red hot. It lost just once in the past month and a half and is coming off a 5-2 victory over sixth-place D.C. United Sunday.

Expect another strong showing from Nashville at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 2.5 (-115) as both sides have powerful attackers. Orlando should give Nani some time and it took him just a handful of minutes to score against FC Cincinnati in his last MLS outing.

For Nashville, it recently put up 5 goals on United, so its attack is clearly in full force. Nashville hit the Over in its past two games and in five of its last eight.

Orlando City player to the Over in three of its last five matches. Each team has a top-15 goal scorer as well with Nashville having two in the top 15. Combine it all, and the Over is a strong play.

Nashville SC vs. Inter Miami CF odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Nashville SC vs. Inter Miami FC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In one of six MLS games Sunday, Nashville SC (6 wins, 1 loss, 10 draws) travel south to take on Inter Miami CF (3-8-4) at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Nashville SC vs. Inter Miami CF odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Nashville SC enters this match leading the league in draws. Another note about Nashville SC is that they are also tied with the Chicago Fire with the most home matches in the Eastern Conference, so they’ll have to hit the road consistently over the season’s second half.

With 25 goals in 17 matches, Nashville is led by M Hany Mukhtar. He’ll have to help keep up with the dynamic Higuain brothers on the other side of the pitch.

F Gonzalo Higuain and F Federico Higuain have led a disappointing Inter Miami CF. Inter has won just one in eight home matches, having actually been better on the road this season.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, Inter Miami CF 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to NASHVILLE SC (+165) as Inter Miami CF has struggled at home.

Nashville has one of the best defenses in the MLS, giving up under a goal per game. Inter will catch a break as D Walker Zimmerman will be out.

However, D Joevin Jones, who has ten appearances for Miami, will also be sidelined. Inter Miami already has one of the worst defenses in the East, having given up 25 goals.

Given Miami’s struggles, it should be Nashville SC who comes out on top.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 2.5 (+135) as Inter Miami FC’s offense has come alive as of late. Combine that with their horrible defense and this match should have at least three shots in the back of the net.

The Inter Over has hit in three of their last six matches. As for Nashville, their Over has also hit in three of their last six. On the plus-money value, this is a solid bet.

Nashville SC at New England Revolution odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Nashville SC at New England Revolution odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In one of 12 MLS games Wednesday night, Nashville SC (6 wins, 1 loss, 9 draws) travels to take on the New England Revolution (11-3-3) at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Nashville SC at New England Revolution odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

With the CONCACAF Gold Cup finished, MLS clubs will return to full strength. New England will be thankful as that means GK Matt Turner returns to action. With 11 wins on the season, New England is, by far, leading the Eastern Conference.

However, the Revolution get one of their toughest tests yet in a Nashville team that has just one loss through16 matches.

Nashville has allowed just 15 goals through 16 games, partially due to All-Star D Walker Zimmerman. After picking up an injury in international play, it doesn’t appear as though Zimmerman will play against the Revolution, a huge loss for the road side.

Prediction

New England 2, Nashville 1

Money line (ML)

BET on NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION (-133) as they’re the most talented team in the East.

On top of that, they’ve won six of their seven home matches, so they play well at Gillette. Nashville has played a league-high 11 matches at home and has yet to win on the road.

With Zimmerman out, I’d expect the Revolution to be able to break down that Nashville backline. Revolution F Gustavo Bou and F Adam Buksa both rank in the top 10 in goals scored.

New England’s offense is that good and should propel it to victory Wednesday night. The Revolution won each of their last four matches.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the OVER 2.5 (-133) as, on paper, this is the best offense in the East against the best defense. The lack of an All-Star defender will hurt Nashville enough to make it susceptible to an elite New England attack.

Nashville hit the Over in three of its last five matches while New England played to the Over 2.5 goals in eight of its last nine games.

FC Cincinnati at Nashville SC odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s FC Cincinnati at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS betting picks, tips and best bets.

In one of many MLS games Saturday, FC Cincinnati (3 wins, 6 losses, 4 draws) travel south to take on Nashville SC (5-1-8) at Nissan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the FC Cincinnati vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Coming off a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United, FC Cincinnati will look to get back to its winning ways. Until a 5-4 loss to CF Montreal last Saturday, FC Cincinnati was on a four-game unbeaten streak.

As for Nashville, it failed to score for the first time in over a month last time out. It played to a 1-1 draw with the Columbus Crew.

Nashville is missing three players currently in Gold Cup action, one of which is Defender of the Year Walker Zimmerman. His absence will leave a gaping hole in the backline.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, FC Cincinnati 2

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to DRAW (+270) as FC Cincinnati has its full roster and Nashville could struggle without Zimmerman.

Cincinnati will get MF Yuya Kubo back for this match. Combine that with a surging duo in F Brenner and MF Luciano Acosta, and FCC should be able to play with a much better pace than we saw against Atlanta.

To add to that, FCC has played better on the road, where it has all three of its victories. While Nashville SC is the superior side, being down a couple of important players could be the difference between a win and a draw.

Nashville tied three of its last five matches and FCC drew three of its last four.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the OVER 2.5 (-135) as both offenses are surging of late.

On top of that, FCC has one of the worst defenses in MLS. It’s dead last in interceptions and in the bottom half in save rate. FCC has given up 26 goals through 13 games.

As for Nashville, it has scored 21 goals and given up 14 through 14 games and is tied for the third-most goals in the Eastern Conference with 21.

This is a perfect mix for at least 3 goals to be put in the back of the net.

Chicago Fire FC at Nashville SC odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Chicago Fire FC at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS betting picks, tips and best bets.

In one of many MLS games Saturday, Chicago Fire FC (3 wins, 7 losses, 2 draws) travel further south to take on Nashville SC (4-1-7) at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Nashville SC vs. Chicago Fire FC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

The Fire had a rough start to the season, but they’ve been playing well as of late.

After a tough loss to FC Cincinnati at home, the Fire have been ironically on fire, scoring nine goals in three matches. They’ve won two of their last three.

However, they’ll be taking on a surging opponent in Nashville SC. Nashville has scored seven in their last three matches and are on a four-match unbeaten streak.

If all things go their way, Nashville could bounce up to second in the East with a win.

Prediction

Nashville SC 1, Chicago Fire 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to a DRAW +280 as the best value on the money line. The thought process is relatively simple – the Fire are playing well and Nashville has shown consistency in playing down to their opponent.

While Nashville is the better team on paper, they haven’t played like it since returning from the international break.

They’ve gone 2-1-2 with one of those wins against the East’s worst team Toronto FC. Their other win was via a second-minute goal in a match with minimal attacking.

Taking on a surging Fire team that has been hitting their stride since the international break, it’s not going to be an easy home victory for Nashville. The only good value on the money line is the draw, and it certainly is a strong possibility.

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (+110) because, despite the Fire’s hot streak, they’ve been relatively poor in the attacking third this season. Yes, they’ve averaged three goals per game over their last three. Take those away, and they scored four goals in nine games.

Even with their impressive play their goals per game is just over one. They had one goal in seven matches before this recent hot streak, and I think their recent success is swaying these odds.

The Under has hit in three of Nashville’s last five games. They’ve allowed just 13 goals in 12 matches.

Given Chicago’s hot streak, these odds are a tad inflated making the Under the best value when betting the total.

Philadelphia Union at Nashville SC odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Philadelphia Union at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS betting picks, tips and best bets.

In one of several MLS games Saturday night, the Philadelphia Union (5 wins, 2 losses, 4 draws) visit Nashville SC (3-1-6) at Nissan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Philadelphia Union at Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Philadelphia is coming off a 3-3 draw with the Chicago Fire. Prior to that match, the Union defeated the Columbus Crew 1-0. They’re likely to be without winger Alejandro Bedoya Saturday.

The Union haven’t lost since May 1 and are third in the Eastern Conference. Nashville SC is sixth in the East.

Nashville is a formidable opponent but hasn’t been able to obtain many results. The lone loss is impressive for a recently-developed club. Nashville looks to remain undefeated at home.

Prediction

Philadelphia Union 1, Nashville SC 1

Money line (ML)

“Lean” to the DRAW (+230) but heavily consider playing Philadelphia to win or a draw at -130. I don’t love either bet, but the Union have looked terrific this season.

They’ve only lost to New York City FC in a game they had a red card and Inter Miami in a game in which they were also preparing for a CONCACAF Champions League match just three days later.

They don’t lose often and haven’t lost on the road this season. At the same time, Nashville has been playing well of late. It has three wins and four draws without a home loss so far.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (-115) as the Union will be without a key threat in Bedoya.

While they combined for 6 goals in their last outing with the Fire, the Union have had a relatively stable backline, giving up just 10 goals on the season.

Nashville is also solid in the back, giving up just 11 goals through 10 matches. If those trends continue, this will be a low-scoring game. The Under has hit in six of Nashville’s last eight matches.
