Orlando City SC vs. Inter Miami odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Orlando City SC vs. Inter Miami odds and lines, with expert MLS picks, predictions and best bets.

Orlando City SC (14-7-8) welcomes Inter Miami (9-4-15) to Exploria Stadium Sunday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Orlando City SC vs. Inter Miami odds, and make our best expert MLS picks and predictions.

Orlando City is 7-4-3 at home this season. Its strength has been in its offense, averaging 1.55 goals per game. It has scored 45 and allowed 36 through 29 matches. Orlando City is coming off a 2-0 loss to NYCFC Wednesday, but it had won its 5 previous games and has lost just 4 times since the start of March. Orlando City’s attack is led by F Facundo Torres, who has scored 12 goals in 26 matches.

Inter Miami is 4-1-1 and has won the league cup since it added F Lionel Messi. It still currently sits 2nd-last in the East yet is coming off a 4-0 home win over Toronto FC. Miami is 3-1-10 on the road this season, but it has won 2 of 3 road games since bringing in Messi. F Leonardo Campana leads Inter in scoring with 9 goals in 23 games.

Orlando City SC vs. Inter Miami picks and predictions

Prediction

Orlando City SC 2, Inter Miami 2

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+280).

In the Messi era, when Inter has gone on the road, both teams’ expected goals have ended within 0.5. Miami has been able to keep games close on the road, and it has won 2 of 3 away matches with Messi on the roster, including a 3-1 win over LAFC on Sept. 3. Messi missed last weekend’s match against Atlanta and played limited minutes in the team’s 4-0 midweek win. He should be rested for this match.

While Orlando City is 2-1-1 over its last 4, it has had more than 1.1 expected goals in just 1 of those 4. Its offense has struggled as of late, and against Miami, it may need to find its rhythm. Orlando City has had as many or fewer expected goals in 4 straight games.

Expect a close match and back DRAW (+280).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 3.5 (+137).

Orlando City has gone Over this total in 5 of its last 10 games and has scored at least 3 goals in 4 of its last 10. It has an elite attack, and Inter, while they are competent offensively will Messi, still has issues defensively and should struggle to contain the home side.

Inter has scored 2 or more in 4 straight games and has gone Over this total in all 4. They have allowed 2 goals per game over their last 4 and 2.3 goals per game over their 3.

Orlando City FC vs. Columbus Crew odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Orlando City FC vs. Columbus Crew odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

Orlando City SC (13 wins, 14 losses, 6 draws) welcomes the Columbus Crew (10-7-16) to Exploria Stadium Sunday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orlando City FC vs. Columbus Crew odds, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

It is a win-and-you’re-in situation for both of these clubs.

Columbus sits 7th in the East with 46 points and 10 wins (the first tiebreaker in playoff contending is overall wins). Orlando sits 8th with 45 points and the next closest is Charlotte with 42 points who is out of contention.

Columbus could have put themselves in a far easier position with a win in its last battle, drawing Charlotte and allowing a 94th-minute equalizer. For the Crew, they’re led by M Lucas Zelarayán, who has 10 goals, and midseason addition F Cucho with 9.

Orlando City has lost 4 of its last 5 matches, but have actually won 5 of its last 9. Orlando City is led by F Ercan Kara (11 goals) and F Facundo Torres (8).

Prediction

Orlando City 2, Columbus Crew 1

Moneyline (ML)

LEAN ORLANDO CITY FC (+112).

While the Crew may be a draw-heavy side, Orlando City is not. It hasn’t drawn a match since July 17, having either won or lost its last 12 matches. It beat Columbus 2-0 earlier in the season.

The Crew’s recent track record of road performances isn’t ideal, having drawn Charlotte, lost to Inter Miami, and drawn Chicago. Both draws were against teams outside of playoff position.

On the other side, Orlando has won 3 of its last 4 at home, taking down Toronto, Seattle, and NYCFC. It is 8-8-0 at home this season.

Orlando hasn’t had spectacular performances lately, but it has played well  the last few weeks while Columbus has had more uncertain performances. Considering that, I’ll lean toward the home side in a must-win match.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-125).

The Crew have scored in their last 5 and in 11 of their last 12. In those matches, they’ve scored multiple times in 7 of the 11.

Columbus has allowed 8 goals in its last 5 matches. Columbus has been better offensively since adding Cucho who has given them a dynamic forward.

Orlando is averaging 1.5 goals per game at home. In general, Orlando City hasn’t had a good defense this season either, giving up 1.58 goals per game. Even at home they only have 4 clean sheets.

Colorado Rapids vs. Orlando City SC odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Colorado Rapids vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

The Colorado Rapids (5 wins, 8 losses, 5 draws) host Orlando City SC (8-7-4) at DSG Park Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Colorado Rapids vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

After finishing atop the Western Conference a season ago, the Rapids have disappointed so far in 2022. They sit 12th in the West and are 7 points outside of playoff position.

Their offense has been a key reason for their struggles, having scored just 21 goals in 18 matches. Colorado is led in scoring by F Diego Rubio with 8 goals. The Rapids are 5-2-2 at home this season.

Orlando City SC sits in 5th place in the East. However, their -4 goal differential is the largest of any team in the top 7.

Orlando City also hasn’t had big-time scoring events, totaling just 24 goals in 19 matches. They’re led in scoring by F Ercan Kara with 7. Orlando has lost just 2 of 9 road matches this season.

Check out Pro Soccer Wire: For the American soccer fan, USA TODAY Sports Media Group’s website provides a fresh look at the beautiful game.

Colorado Rapids vs. Orlando City SC odds, lines, picks and predictions

  • Money line: Colorado Rapids -125 (bet $125 to win $100) | Orlando City SC +330 (bet $100 to win $330) | Draw +280
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -130| U: +105)

[tipico]

Prediction

Colorado Rapids 2, Orlando City SC 0

Money line (ML)

BET COLORADO RAPIDS -125.

The Rapids have won 5 of their last 7 home matches, and doing that is far more difficult than it sounds when you realize the West-leading LAFC, Seattle, and Portland were among the teams they beat.

Colorado has 3 points 9 road matches, so the stark difference is seemingly a big deal. Orlando City has played well on the road, but they’ve been far from formidable, especially when taking a closer look.

Orlando has a 3-2-4 road record, but has been fewer expected goals than its opponent in all but 2 matches. Colorado is the opposite, having more expected goals than its opponent in all but 2 home matches.

At this value, considering how each team has played in this situation, I’d back Colorado.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (+105).

Again, Orlando City has capitalized on chances on the road, having been shut out just twice, but they have more than 1 expected goal in just 3 away matches.

They average just 1.24 per game, allowing 1.47. Colorado is similar, having struggled to score. It averages just 1.17 and allowed 1.44. Both teams rank in the bottom 6 teams in the MLS in shots on target.

Expect a low-scoring match with the Under 2.5 (+105) as my favorite wager.

FC Cincinnati vs. Orlando City SC odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s FC Cincinnati vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

FC Cincinnati (6 wins, 7 losses, 2 draws) hosts Orlando City SC (7-5-4) at TQL Stadium Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the FC Cincinnati vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Led by F Brandon Vazquez, who has 8 goals in 14 matches and is being eyed by USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter, FC Cincinnati will return home following a 1-1 draw with Philadelphia.

Cincinnati had 17 shots against the Union, who are tied for the best defense in the MLS. FCC has won 4 of their last 7.

Orlando City suffered a 2-1 home loss to FCC earlier in the season and are the only team in the East’s top-six with a negative goal differential.

Orlando City is led by F Ercan Kara, who has 6 goals on the season. They currently sit in 4th place and actually have averaged more points per game on the road this season.

FC Cincinnati vs. Orlando City SC odds, lines, picks and predictions

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday at 12:53 p.m. ET.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -135 | U: +110)

[tipico]

Prediction

FC Cincinnati 2, Orlando City 1

Money line (ML)

LEAN FC CINCINNATI +127.

Against teams in the Eastern Conference with a negative goal differential, FC Cincinnati is 5-2-0. They haven’t had much success at home this season, but typically home-field advantage does apply to soccer.

With 1 of the best game managers in M Luciano Acosta (7 combined goals and assists) having subbed on against Philadelphia last weekend, he should be primed for a full 90-minute load.

Orlando City is a playoff-caliber side, but they have either had as many or fewer expected goals than their opponents in 4 of their last 6 matches. That is true for 9 of their 16 games this season.

Considering they’ve yet to play against F Brenner as he was out in the first matchup, FCC should have a better roster than their early-season matchup. Combine it all, and I like the home side here.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-135).

FC Cincinnati has gone over this total in 3 of their last 4 games, and the only one which missed was against Philadelphia, one of the top defenses in MLS.

FCC has gone over this total in 9 of their 15 games. Orlando City has been a similar story, going over in 3 of their last 4 games and in 8 of their 16 on the season.

FCC ranks in the top half of the league in shots on target yet sits tied for the 3rd-most goals allowed in the East. Similarly, Orlando City is in the bottom half in save rate and interceptions.

The pace of the home side coupled with their lacking poor defense and disappointing defensive performances from Orlando City this season should allow for several goals in this battle.

Columbus Crew vs. Orlando City SC odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Columbus Crew vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

The Columbus Crew (2 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws) welcome Orlando City SC (3-2-2) to Lower.com Field Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Columbus Crew vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

The Crew have dropped consecutive 1-0 games after going undefeated through the first four games of the season, one at home to Nashville and one away at Philadelphia.

The Crew are led by M Lucas Zelarayán, who is in a seven-way tie for the second-most goals in MLS with 4 markers. Columbus has allowed just 7 goals in six games.

Orlando City is 2nd on the Eastern Conference table despite a tough 2-1 loss at home to lowly FC Cincinnati earlier in the season. Orlando is coming off a 1-0 win over Chicago last time out.

It has scored just 8 goals and allowed just 7 through seven games.

Columbus Crew vs. Orlando City SC: Odds, lines, picks and predictions

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 12:30 a.m. ET.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -112 | U: -108)

[tipico]

Prediction

Columbus Crew 1, Orlando City 0

Money line (ML)

BET to COLUMBUS (-135).

I don’t love the value here, and Columbus has 8 points in six games compared to Orlando’s 11 points in seven games.

While the edge is still to Orlando there, Columbus has been far better at home. It is 2-1-0 at home this season with its lone loss coming against Nashville in a game Columbus had more expected goals.

The Crew have outscored opponents 6-2 at home this season. Columbus was 10-4-3 at home last season as compared to 3-9-5 on the road, so it has had a trend of dominance at home.

Zelarayán has also helped the Crew’s midfield as it ranks third in passing accuracy. Given his control and Columbus’ strength in the midfield, I expect them to come out on top at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN to the UNDER 2.5 (-108).

The Crew are 3-3 O/U this total in their last 6 and have had their games finish 1-0 in 2 straight. Orlando is 2-5 O/U this season and has scored just 8 goals on the season while allowing 7 against.

Neither team ranks in the top 15 in the MLS in shot percentage either, so while they may get shoots up, they aren’t often on target.

I’d back the under with that in mind, especially considering the two combined defenses have allowed 13 goals in 14 games.

Orlando City vs. FC Cincinnati odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Orlando City vs. FC Cincinnati odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

FC Cincinnati (0 wins, 2 losses, 0 draws) heads south to take on Orlando City (1-0-1) Saturday at Exploria Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Orlando City vs. FC Cincinnati odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

FC Cincinnati lost 5-0 to Austin FC in its season opener. Austin FC finished in 14th place in the Western Conference the season prior, so it was a demoralizing loss. Not quite as demoralizing as a 98th-minute penalty kick loss to D.C. United in its home opener though.

FCC has yet to score this season, having lost both its first two games by a combined 6-0. F Brenner, FCC’s premier attacker, should be active for its battle with Orlando City.

As for Orlando City, it started off the season strong with a 2-0 win over Montreal CF. However, it drew 0-0 against Chicago last weekend, having put together little offensively in that showing.

Orlando City will enter as the heavy favorite, and rightfully so, as it won 8 of 16 games at home last season and has started off 1-0.

Orlando City vs. FC Cincinnati: Odds, picks and predictions

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -130 | U: +105)

[tipico]

Prediction

Orlando City 2, FC Cincinnati 0

Money line (ML)

PASS.

Betting against FC Cincinnati has been free money so far this season, but at -205, it’s just not worth it in this situation. I would lean to BOTH SIDES NOT TO SCORE at -125 for a myriad of reasons.

For starters, Orlando City has yet to give up a goal while FC Cincinnati has yet to score a goal this season.

However, after giving up 5 to Austin, Cincinnati’s defense looked far better in its second game. It allowed just 10 shots and 4 on goal to D.C. United, a team that opened the season with a 3-0 win over Charlotte.

Orlando, while the strong favorite, has just 3 shots on goal this season and 2 goals. It has the second-fewest shots on goal in the MLS this season, only behind Vancouver who has just 1.

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN to the UNDER  2.5 (+105).

For all the reasons above, the Under feels like the better play here.

FC Cincinnati has been getting shots off yet doesn’t have that clinical finishing ability in the final third. It has 29 shots and 8 on target yet not a single goal. That’s a problem, and it’s not one easily corrected.

Both teams also rank in the bottom half of the league in shooting accuracy, both under 30%. Orlando has the 4th-least accurate shooting, and FCC sits with the 8th-worst percentage.

With that in mind, given the value, I’d play the plus-money Under odds.

Orlando City SC at Nashville SC odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Orlando City SC at Nashville SC odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In one of many MLS games Wednesday, Orlando City SC (8 wins, 4 losses, 6 draws) visits Nashville SC (7-2-10) at Nissan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Orlando City SC vs. Nashville SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Nashville is yet again playing at home, where it has played 12 of 19 games this season. Only the Chicago Fire who have played more home games, with 13 of 19 matches at Soldier Field. Unlike Chicago, Nashville has been unstoppable at Nissan Stadium.

It has won seven of 12 home games and tied the other five. Both of Nashville’s losses were on the road; Orlando is 3-3-3 on the road.

With F Nani leading the way, Orlando will try to pull off the upset, especially after drawing its last two matches. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Nani used as a substitute following a full 90-minute performance Thursday in the Leagues Cup.

Prediction

Nashville SC 2, Orlando City SC 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to NASHVILLE SC (-133) as it hosts a tired Orlando City side.

As noted, Nani may not start since the 34-year-old played the entire match Thursday in the Leagues Cup. If so, the Orlando attack, as it saw against FC Cincinnati two games back, will be hampered.

Additionally, Nashville has been red hot. It lost just once in the past month and a half and is coming off a 5-2 victory over sixth-place D.C. United Sunday.

Expect another strong showing from Nashville at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 2.5 (-115) as both sides have powerful attackers. Orlando should give Nani some time and it took him just a handful of minutes to score against FC Cincinnati in his last MLS outing.

For Nashville, it recently put up 5 goals on United, so its attack is clearly in full force. Nashville hit the Over in its past two games and in five of its last eight.

Orlando City player to the Over in three of its last five matches. Each team has a top-15 goal scorer as well with Nashville having two in the top 15. Combine it all, and the Over is a strong play.

Orlando City SC at FC Cincinnati odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Orlando City SC at FC Cincinnati odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

In one of many MLS games Saturday, Orlando City SC (8 wins, 4 losses, 5 draws) travel north to take on FC Cincinnati (3-7-6) at TQL Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Orlando City SC vs. FC Cincinnati odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Having added a couple of defenders in the last week, FC Cincinnati is looking to improve where it’s weakest. Hopefully, it will help its fortune as well as it hasn’t won June 26.

Cincinnati has drawn its last two matches. At home yet again, FCC has yet to win at its brand-new stadium. It’ll get a tough matchup this time as well with the second-ranked team in the Eastern Conference coming to Cincinnati.

Orlando City, led by F Nani, won two of its last four matches. It has won just three of eight on the road this season.

Prediction

Orlando City SC 2, FC Cincinnati 1

Money line (ML)

BET on ORLANDO CITY SC (+155) as it’s the more-proven side. Well, and the fact FCC has yet to win at home. That certainly doesn’t help anything.

Oh, and add to that FCC just mutually parted ways with its general manager. While it added a few defenders, there’s no telling if they’ll up to speed for this game.

On the other side of the field, an experienced Nani will be looking to break down the second-worst defense in the East. Given FCC’s internal struggles and inability to get results at home, expect Orlando to come out on top.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 2.5 (-140) as Orlando City’s defense has also struggled.

It has given up 22 goals through 17 matches which is the worst of any team in playoff contention. Orlando ranks fifth in goals and seventh in shots on target.

With FCC is in the bottom 10 in save percentage, there’s no reason at least 3 goals shouldn’t be netted in this one. FCC hit the Over in three of its last six matches while Orlando City’s hit the Over in nine of its last 11.

Atlanta United at Orlando City SC odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Atlanta United at Orlando City SC odds and lines, with MLS betting picks, tips and best bets.

In one of three MLS games Friday, Atlanta United (2 wins, 5 losses, 8 draws) visit Orlando City SC (7-4-4) for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff at Exploria Stadium. Below, we preview the Atlanta United FC vs. Orlando City SC odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Despite F Josef Martinez finding his way back into the lineup, Atlanta United still haven’t consistently found a positive result. Atlanta hasn’t won since May 15 and has earned just two points in the last five matches.

As for Orlando City SC, with F Nani leading the way, it could jump Nashville SC for second place in the Eastern Conference with a win. Orlando hasn’t played well lately either with a 1-3-1 record over its last five games.

Prediction

Orlando City SC 1, Atlanta United 1

Money line (ML)

BET on the DRAW (+270) as the best value on the money line. After all, it seems to be the only thing Atlanta knows how to do.

United have more draws than wins and losses combined. With Martinez back, they should manage to find the back of the net at least once. They’ve drawn five of eight road matches.

While Atlanta still has three players with the USMNT in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the most important absence is Orlando City F Daryl Dike. Without Dike, expect a lower-scoring match with the outcome being a draw.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (+100) as the better value on the total.

Without Dike, Orlando’s attack is limited to Nani. Outside of Martinez, Atlanta really has little attacking prowess, having scored just 14 goals through 15 matches.

Atlanta hit the Over in two of its last seven matches. While Orlando City was completely destroyed Sunday by New York City FC to the tune of a 5-0 loss, its defense should bounce back at home, where it has played well.

Philadelphia Union at Orlando City SC odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Philadelphia Union at Orlando City SC odds and lines, with MLS betting picks, tips and best bets.

In one of just two MLS games Thursday, Philadelphia Union  (6 wins, 3 losses, 5 draws) travel south to take on Orlando City SC (6-3-4) at Exploria Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Orlando City SC vs. Philadelphia Union odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

Philadelphia and Orlando will meet in a clash of two of the top four Eastern Conference teams. However, it won’t be a full showing of the talent each roster possesses.

Orlando will be without F Daryl Dike, who is trying to will the USMNT in the Gold Cup. Philadelphia is hit a bit harder as starting GK Andre Blake, F Cory Burke and D Alvas Powell are all playing for the Jamaican Olympic team.

Philadelphia will enter 2-1-2 over its last five games, while Orlando City is 2-2-1.

Prediction

Orlando City 2, Philadelphia Union 0

Money line (ML)

BET ORLANDO CITY SC (-115) as Philadelphia is just down too many key players.

The Union are down one of its top goal scorers in Burke, who is tied for the team lead with four, along with its starting goalie in Blake. That’s quite a bit to be missing.

Orlando MF Nani is one of the most talented players in the MLS as well, so he should help captain the home side.

Orlando has been better at home, winning three of six, while Philadelphia hasn’t been that great on the road. The Union have won just two of seven road matches.

Expect Orlando to win given the circumstances.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the UNDER 2.5 (+115) as both teams are short-handed forwards and have had strong defenses so far this season.

In a combined 27 games, the two sides have combined to give up just 26 goals. Offensively, they’ve combined for just 39 goals.

Considering how dominant their defenses have proven to be and how lacking their respective offense should be during Gold Cup play, I’d think the Under, especially for plus-money value, is the better bet.

The Under has hit for Philadelphia in three of its last five contests. The Under has hit for Orlando in six of its 13 matches so far this season.
