Georgia offers 2025 RB Akylin Dear

UGA football offers talented 2025 running back recruit Akylin Dear

The Georgia Bulldogs and running backs coach Dell McGee are looking for the next great running back to play between the hedges. McGee and the University of Georgia offered a scholarship to class of 2025 running back recruit Akylin Dear.

Dear plays high school football for Quitman High School in Quitman, Mississippi. Dear is an unranked recruit, but he will be ranked soon. Georgia does not offer players that end up unranked.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound running back could be the next great back at Georgia. The Dawgs went into Mississippi to land a commitment from  running back Branson Robinson a few years ago.

Georgia football is hot early in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Dawgs have commitments from three five-star recruits in the current sophomore class. Winning back-to-back national championships certainly helps Georgia’s recruiting pitch.

The 2025 running back has secured an invitation to the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game. Akylin Dear has gone on recent visits to Georgia and Alabama. Dear has excellent strength.

Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Penn State are among the more than dozen schools to offer the Quitman standout. Mississippi and Mississippi State are always strong at recruiting in-state prospects, but Georgia has had success recruiting the state in recent seasons under Kirby Smart.

Dear announced his scholarship offer from Georgia football via Twitter:
