Will Miles and Keleigh Teller sit with Taylor Swift at Super Bowl 58?

Could Rooster make it to Las Vegas?

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl, and that means fans are likely (hopefully) going to see global superstar Taylor Swift in attendance. The 12-time Grammy winner has been frequenting Chiefs games this season after starting a relationship with tight end Travis Kelce over the summer.

Throughout the season, Swift has been joined by Brittany Mahomes (wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes), Kelce’s family (parents, brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie) and friends like Keleigh Teller, Cara Delevingne, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Although Swift has a show for her popular Eras Tour in Tokyo the day before the Las Vegas Super Bowl, but — barring any unforeseen hurdles — the pop icon should be able to make it in time. And now we have some idea of who might be joining her in the suite.

With a reply on her TikTok video from the AFC title game, Teller seemingly confirmed that she will be there for the Super Bowl, with husband Miles in tow. Miles Teller, who starred as Rooster in 2022’s box office smash Top Gun: Maverick, is a die-hard Philly sports fan and friend of both Swift and Kelce.

6 times Top Gun’s Miles Teller had the time of his life as the Phillies eliminated the Padres

The Top Gun: Maverick star is a HUGE Phillies fan.

Sunday night, the Philadelphia Phillies extended its improbable postseason run with a 4-3 win over the San Diego Padres. With the victory, the Phillies will head to the World Series, where the AL’s Houston Astros will be waiting. Philadelphia has continued to get big hit after big hit as they swept St. Louis in the Wild Card and went 3-1 in the ALDS against the 2021 champion Atlanta Braves.

The Padres bested the Phils in game two, sending the ALCS to the City of Brotherly Love knotted up at 1-1. In games four and five, the Phillies rallied from behind in front of a raucous home crowd.

One particularly happy fan was actor Miles Teller, a Philadelphia sports super fan. Teller, who played Rooster in this summer’s mega blockbuster, Top Gun: Maverick, took in the games from the stands and was even brought onto the field for a Danger Zone inspired moment.

Here are six times he was thrilled to be celebrating the Phillies in the NLCS this weekend, plus a bonus shot of him donning Eagles gear at Super Bowl LIV (despite Philly not playing in it).

Miles Teller played Peyton Manning on SNL’s season premiere, and it was eerily accurate

Ok, but honestly this is perfect.

The 48th season of Saturday Night Live premiered this week, and NBC had the star of one of the biggest movies of all time on deck for his first ever hosting gig. Miles Teller, who was Rooster in 2022’s billion dollar smash Top Gun: Maverick, opened the season with Kendrick Lamar as the musical guest.

Since there was significant cast turnover after season 47 — big names like Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant have all departed — SNL used the cold open to break down the new faces in the style of ESPN’s ManningCast.

Teller dons the tell-tale blue cashmere quarter-zip of Peyton, while Andrew Dismukes takes on little brother Eli. Jon Hamm and Shaun White make guest appearances, but the real story here is just how incredibly perfect of a Peyton Manning that Teller plays.

The mannerisms are spot on, and I can’t say that if you had asked me to pick an actor to play Peyton that Teller would have even been in the top 25. I’d say the only way to differentiate the two would be to have them throw a football, but did you see Maverick? Dogfight football is life!

Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller will wave the green flag as the 2022 Indy 500 honorary starter

The 2022 Indy 500 is getting a little extra need for speed.

It’s Top Gun: Maverick Week here at For The Win, where we’ve taken to the skies for five days’ worth of content to celebrate the premiere of the sequel to 1986’s iconic ode to Naval Aviation. Strap in for a wild ride (no spoilers!).

Every year, the need for speed is alive and well during the Indianapolis 500 — one of the biggest motor sports event in the world — as drivers and their teams push the limits of their race cars.

But for the 2022 Indy 500, that sentiment will mean a little something extra. Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller will be at the 106th running of the Indy 500, and he’ll serve as the honorary starter, waving the green flag above the 33-car field to signal the start of the race, Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced Tuesday.

Teller plays Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, the son of Maverick’s (played by Tom Cruise) former Weapon Systems Operator, the late character Goose, who ends up clashing with Maverick in this decades-later sequel, as For The Win’s Top Gun Week team noted.

Celebrities and other athletes are regular attendees at the Indy 500, and some, like Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon and Christian Bale, have also been the race’s honorary starter. Elevated above the iconic track’s start-finish line, the honorary starter has one of the best views possible at the beginning of the 500-mile race.

The 2022 Indy 500 is set for Sunday, and the green flag is scheduled to fly at 12:45 p.m. ET on NBC, but coverage begins at 11 a.m.

Russell Wilson, Ciara will be executive producers on new movie

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Ciara’s production company Why Not You will executive produce the movie ‘Not Without Hope’ .

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Grammy award winning singer Ciara, are set to executive produce a new movie called ‘Not Without Hope’ through their production company Why Not You.

The film will star Miles Teller, who plays the lone survivor of a real-life boating tragedy that occurred in 2009 and involved a pair of former NFL players, Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, who both tragically passed away in the Gulf of Mexico.

The movie will be directed by Rupert Wainwright and is going to be featured at Cannes upcoming virtual market.

‘Not Without Hope’ is based on a 2014 novel of the same name, written by Nick Schuyler, who Teller will be portraying in the film.

Schuyler and three friends, Will Bleakley and former NFL players Cooper and Smith, took off on a fishing trip back in 2009. Severe storms capsized the boat and left the four of them attempting to survive in frigid waters.

Cooper, Smith and Bleakley unfortunately all passed from hyperthermia, but Schuyler was rescued after 46 hours in 60 degree water.

This will be Wilson and Ciara’s first foray into feature films with Why Not You productions.

Vinny Paz receives suspended sentence in Providence assault case

Vinny Paz has pleaded no contest in an assault and battery case that had been hanging over his head for nearly two years.

Vinny Paz won’t have to think about a lingering legal issue during the holidays.

The former lightweight titleholder has pleaded no contest in an assault and battery case that had been hanging over his head for nearly two years. Paz, a native of Cranston, Rhode Island,  received a one-year suspended sentence with probation on each count, according to The Boston Globe.

Paz allegedly attacked Providence resident Nathaniel Lavoie, sending him to the hospital late on the night of  Jan. 1, 2018. Lanvoie reportedly suffered multiple injuries, including broken teeth, a black eye and several bite marks.

At the time of the incident, Paz justified his actions. He told Providence police that Lanvoie had stolen $16,000 from his home..

‘Bottom line is, I got robbed. And when that happens, you gotta do what you gotta do,’’ Paz told WPRI-TV.

This isn’t Paz’s first run-in with the law. He pleaded no contest to drunk driving in 2007 and pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct in 2012. In 2018, he was arrested again for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. That case was settled with a one-year suspended sentence and probation.

Paz, one of the most popular fighters to come out of New England, was the subject of the 2016 Hollywood film “Bleed For This.” He was played by Miles Teller.
