Michigan State football offers 2026 in state quarterback

MSU has extended an offer to an in-state QB in the 2026 recruiting class

While not always the most important recruit in any given class, quarterbacks are by far the most notable players that a team will add in any given recruiting class. For Michigan State’s 2026 recruiting class, Jonathan Smith and offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren are officially keeping tabs on an in-state product.

Kayd Coffman was the most recent recipient of an offer from the Spartans offensive coaching staff. Coffman, a native of  Grand Rapids (MI), attending East Kentwood High, is a 3-star prospect that has shown incredible film during his junior year.

Michigan State is Coffman’s first power conference offer, but that number is surely going to rise in the coming months.

Michigan State football bringing back fan-favorite uniforms, logo for Illinois game

Michigan State football bringing back fan-favorite uniforms, logo for Illinois game

I think it would be fair to say that Jonathan Smith is a little more conservative when it comes to the uniform combinations he selects for his Michigan State football team. There’s nothing wrong with that, as Mark Dantonio was similar, but this weekend, the Spartans are giving the fans a treat for one of their last games of the season.

MSU will bring back their iconic ‘Gruff Sparty’ logo for their game against Illinois on Saturday, wearing them with the all-white ‘Stormtrooper’ uniform combination.

You can watch the video of them re-debuting the ‘Gruff Sparty’ logo and all-white ‘Stormtrooper’ uniforms here.
