Michigan State Basketball’s recruiting efforts have been stellar lately. According to Endless Motor Sports, Spartans have conducted calls over the last week with 2022 5-star PF Jalen Washington. Note, this comes after MSU has already been in contact with Washington.

Jalen Washington stands at 6-foot-8 and currently weighs 200-pounds. He hails from Gary, IN, where he currently plays for West Side High School. According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Washington is the No. 18 prospect in his class, the No. 4 Power Forward in his class, and the No. 1 prospect in all of Indiana.

This previous week, he has also been in contact with Alabama, Purdue, Indiana, South Carolina, and Tulsa.

Michigan State Basketball’s recruiting efforts have been dubbed by success by every fan and every metric available. So far, the Spartans have two highly talented recruits coming into the 2021 class in 5-star SG Max Christie & 4-star PG Pierre Brooks.

After some recent movement, MSU’s 2021 recruiting class now ranks No. 5 in the updated 247Sports 2021 basketball team rankings.

247Sports ranks two Big Ten teams ahead of MSU in Northwestern and Michigan, then ranks Louisville No. 2 and USC No. 1.

Michigan State’s 2021 recruiting class has the only 5-star commit right now among the top ten other recruiting classes. Furthermore, MSU’s average 247Sports recruiting score of 98.36 is higher than any other top ten class.

There will likely be another addition to the Spartan’s 2021 basketball recruiting class. We’ll just have to wait and see what that addition looks like.

Michigan State Basketball is putting in work when it comes to contacting 2022 prospects. Now, Tom Izzo and staff have contacted yet another Top-50 sophomore. According to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers, the Spartans have been in contact with PG Trejuan Holloman.

Trejuan Holloman stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 165 pounds. He hails from Minneapolis, MN, and currently plays for Cretin Derham Hall High School.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Holloman is the No. 3 prospect in all of MN in his class. Also, he is the 18th-ranked PG in the entire 2022 recruiting class.

Holloman is an excellent floor general. I’m talking elite court vision. Holloman makes behind the back passes in transition look like a walk in the park. He also boasts some serious hops.
