A big-time prospect the Spartans are targeting has reportedly found some new interest in a Big Ten rival.

Five-star small forward Bryson Tucker reportedly took an official visit to Indiana on Tuesday. Jeff Rabjohns of 247Sports reportedly the notable recruiting news.

Tucker is ranked as the No. 20 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also listed as the No. 7 small forward and No. 1 player from Virginia.

Michigan State has long been considered one of the favorites to land Tucker’s commitment, with Kansas also in the mix. However, with Indiana entering the picture, things could be shifting away from the Spartans for Tucker.

MSU will be hosting five big time recruits for its matchup with Ohio State on Sunday:

Michigan State is set to host Ohio State inside of the Breslin Center on Sunday afternoon for a big time Big Ten matchup.

While the matchup on the floor is imperative for the Spartans as they move into March, the Spartans will be making it a big day for recruiting as well.

According to Joe Tipton of On3, via X, Michigan State will be hosting five big time targets in the class of 2025 and class of 2026.

Gregory Lawson of Davison, Mich. will reportedly take an unofficial visit to Michigan State this weekend and attend the home game against Ohio State. Brandon Jenkins of 247Sports reported the news on Lawson’s visit to Michigan State.

Lawson is a three-star point guard in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 22 point guard and No. 125 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 2 player from Michigan.

Lawson holds offers from more than 10 schools, according to 247Sports. Michigan State has not extended him an offer yet, but he has received a scholarship offer from other notable programs such as Louisville, Florida State, Arkansas, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Penn State, TCU and DePaul.

Four-star combo guard Davion Hannah recently caught up with On3 recruiting insider Joe Tipton to provide an update on his recruitment. Michigan State was featured in the article (link included in tweet below).

The Spartans extended an offer to Hannah back in September. Hannah ranks as the No. 5 combo guard and No. 20 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 player from Wisconsin.

Michigan State basketball has extended an offer to one of the top players in the 2025 class.

Five-star combo guard Darius Adams has reportedly received an offer from the Spartans. Adams hails from La Porte, Ind. and is considered one of the top players in the 2025 class.

Adams ranks as the No. 4 combo guard and No. 22 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 2 player from Indiana.

Michigan State is one of more than 10 big-time programs to already extend Adams an offer. Other notable schools to offer Adams includes Alabama, Florida State, Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, Notre Dame, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

A 5-star prospect is going to be in attendance for MSU’s game against Alcorn State on Sunday:

Michigan State will look to improve to 3-2 on Sunday evening when the Spartans play host to Alcorn State in East Lansing.

While this is a game the Spartans expect to dominate, there is now some more at stake on Sunday. 247Sports’ reporter Justin Thind has reported that 5-star 2025 guard Jalen Haralson will be visiting East Lansing for the game today.

Haralson is playing his high school basketball at La Lumiere (IN) and currently ranks as the No. 9 overall player and No. 2 combo guard in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Michigan State basketball has extended an offer to a shooting guard prospect from Illinois in the 2026 class.

Gabriel Sularski Lisle, Ill. announced late last week that he’s received a scholarship offer from Michigan State. Sularski plays for Benet Academy and is listed at 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds.

Sularski has yet to be ranked on 247Sports, but has begun to pick up attention from numerous schools. He holds scholarship offers from eight schools, according to 247Sports. Notable programs to extend him an offer includes Michigan State, Illinois, Missouri, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Michigan State is one of a few big-time programs showing interest in an elite shooting guard prospect in the 2026 class.

The Spartans are one of three big-time programs that sent coaches to see 2026 four-star shooting guard Jayden Johnson on Thursday. The other two notable programs were Louisville and Xavier, according to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.

Weingarten is also reporting that Johnson will be visiting Ohio State this upcoming weekend.

Johnson ranks as the No. 10 shooting guard and No. 37 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also ranked as the No. 1 player from Kentucky.

Johnson currently holds offers from Cincinnati, Missouri, Texas A&M and West Virginia. Keep an eye on Johnson’s recruitment as the Spartans may continue to be engaged and eventually extend him an offer.

Bundalo ranks as the No. 6 power forward and No. 22 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 player from Ohio.

Bundalo already holds offers from more than 10 programs, according to 247Sports. That includes the likes of Ohio State, Illinois, Iowa, Syracuse, Rutgers and Penn State. Michigan State, however, has yet to extend an offer to Bundalo.

McKenney already holds offers from 35 programs, according to 247Sports. That includes Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Illinois, UCLA, Kansas and Alabama.
