Minnesota Timberwolves at Memphis Grizzlies Game 1 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Minnesota Timberwolves at Memphis Grizzlies Game 1 and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 2 seed Memphis Grizzlies host the No. 7 seed Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday for Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series. Tip-off at the FedExForum is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at the Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Minnesota punched its ticket into the postseason by beating the Los Angeles Clippers 109-104 Tuesday in the first play-in game.

Memphis wrapped up the No. 2 seed weeks ago and were 1-3 straight up (SU) and 1-2-1 against the spread (ATS) in the last 4 games as a result.

The Grizzlies were 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS versus the Timberwolves this season with the Over/Under (O/U) going 2-2.

Timberwolves at Grizzlies picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 117, Grizzlies 114

Money line

SPRINKLE on the TIMBERWOLVES (+220) if at all. Their spread is the sharper play but there’s some value in the ML.

Both of these teams have similar identities, but the Grizzlies are more efficient, which is why they should win this series.

However, in this game, I see the T-wolves riding the momentum of their play-in victory over the Clippers like the Grizzlies did last season when they upset the then-No. 1 seed Utah Jazz in Game 1.

Furthermore, both Minnesota PG D’Angelo Russell and C Karl-Anthony Towns have played very well versus Memphis this season.

Russell averaged 31.0 points on 70.8% true shooting (.558/.463/.792) with a plus-22 net rating in the 4 regular-season games against the Grizzlies. Memphis has a tough frontcourt defense, but KAT averaged 23.3 points in those 4 games on 52.1% shooting with a plus-9 net rating.

Again, the plan is to hit Minnesota’s spread harder but I’ll SPRINKLE on the TIMBERWOLVES (+220).

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET TIMBERWOLVES +6.5 (-110) instead of or heavier than their ML because there aren’t 3 possessions worth of difference between these two teams entering Game 1.

Maybe as the series goes on Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins uses his more talented roster to make adjustments that would make the Grizzlies a sharp play.

Also, there’s reverse-line movement headed in Minnesota’s direction since most of the money and action is on Memphis, but the Grizzlies have gone from 7-point favorites on the opener down to the current number (per Pregame.com).

Since it seems like the House wants more pro-Grizzlies money, let’s get on the same side as the bookmakers by BETTING TIMBERWOLVES +6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

PASS because this is a “sharp” total, we are getting the worst of the number since this game opened at 235 and there could be fewer possessions in Timberwolves-Grizzlies for this playoff atmosphere.

Minnesota is 30-11 O/U versus teams with a winning record this season and Memphis is 21-18-2 O/U with a plus-1.7 total margin at home, so if anything, I “lean” to the Over.

Boston Celtics at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Boston Celtics at Memphis Grizzlies and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Boston Celtics (50-31) head to the FedExForum Sunday to play the Memphis Grizzlies (56-25) in their regular-season finales. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Celtics vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Boston can clinch the Atlantic Division with a win Sunday whereas the Southwest Division champion Grizzlies are locked into the 2-seed in the Western Conference.

The Celtics had their 3-game winning streak snapped Thursday in a 127-121 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Grizzlies clubbed the New Orleans Pelicans 141-114 Saturday to end a 2-game losing skid.

Boston stomped Memphis 120-107 at home as 2-point favorites without second-leading scorer SF Jaylen Brown March 3. The Celtics are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 5 visits to Memphis.

Celtics at Grizzlies odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Celtics 119, Grizzlies 107

Money line

PASS.

There’s no way the Celtics (-225) should be this big of a favorite over the Grizzlies (+170) in Memphis unless the oddsmakers or market has a hunch Memphis will be resting a couple of its starters.

You could argue it’s worth it to take a flier on the Grizzlies (+170) in hopes of them sending out their usual starting 5. But, it doesn’t feel like that’ll happen and even if it does the Celtics can still smoke the Grizzlies in Memphis. PASS.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the CELTICS -5.5 (-105) because the odds suggest the Grizzlies +5.5 (-120) will treat this like a preseason game whereas Boston should be trying to get a win.

The Celtics can win the division in coach Ime Udoka’s first year on the job, which is a nice boost of confidence for the locker room.

Also, Boston gets a much easier first-round playoff matchup with a win over Memphis. The Chicago Bulls, who have been sputtering down the stretch, are are the 6-seed in the East while the surging Toronto Raptors are the 5-seed.

Finally, this is a very profitable spot for the Celtics who are 12-7 ATS as 5-to-7-point favorites, 15-7 ATS as road favorites with a plus-7.3 ATS margin and 15-4 ATS on the road versus teams with a winning record.

BET the CELTICS -5.5 (-110).

Over/Under

PASS because my numbers align closely with the market’s projected total and we still don’t know who’s going to officially suit up for the Grizzlies.

Despite my prediction, the only way I’d get down on the total is by taking the Over because Boston 10-1 O/U in the last 11 games versus winning teams and the Over has cashed in 24 of the last 30 Celtics-Grizzlies meetings, including 3 straight.

New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (55-25) host the New Orleans Pelicans (36-44) Saturday at FedExForum for a 6 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we look at the Pelicans vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

New Orleans has won 5 of its last 6 games — 4-2 against the spread (ATS) — including back-to-back road victories. The Pelicans defeated the Sacramento Kings 123-109 Tuesday and the Portland Trail Blazers 127-94 Thursday.

Memphis enters on a 2-game skid following a 7-game win streak. The losses were at the Utah Jazz 121-115 in overtime Tuesday and at the Denver Nuggets 122-109 Thursday. The Grizzlies are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games.

They are 2-1 straight up (SU) and ATS this season versus the Pelicans and the Over/Under (O/U) is 2-1.

Pelicans at Grizzlies odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 2:57 p.m. ET.

Pelicans at Grizzlies odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 112, Pelicans 109

Money line

PASS with a heavy “lean” to the Pelicans (+220) since I’m on their spread and typically I’ll sprinkle on an underdog when betting them to cover.

What’s holding me back from taking the Pelicans’ ML is Ingram’s “questionable” status. Ingram has New Orleans’ highest adjusted on/off net rating at plus-9.5, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

If Ingram is able to play, I’ll reconsider, but at the moment, PASS.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET PELICANS +6.5 (-112) because there aren’t 6.5 points separating these teams and the Grizzlies could be easier to defend if Morant makes his return Saturday.

The Pelicans are sixth in adjusted net rating (plus-5.5) and first in ATS margin (plus-6.3) since the All-Star break. Plus, NOLA’s offense got a major boost after acquiring SG C.J. McCollum in February.

Furthermore, the only reason Morant would play is to get reps before the postseason. If Morant’s teammates stand around and let him cook, then Memphis may struggle in half-court sets.

NEW ORLEANS +6.5 (-112) is my favorite wager in this game.

Over/Under

Slight LEAN to the UNDER 230.5 (-112).

My numbers are far enough below the market’s projected score and Tipico Sportsbook is trying to induce Over action by making it cheaper.

Also, the Pelicans are 8-24 O/U as road underdogs, the Grizzlies are 1-5 O/U in their last 6 games as favorites and all three of the referees assigned to this game have officiated more Unders than Overs.

Memphis Grizzlies at Denver Nuggets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Memphis Grizzlies at Denver Nuggets and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (55-24) meet the Denver Nuggets (47-33) Thursday at Ball Arena for a 9 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we look at the Grizzlies vs. Nuggets odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Denver can clinch a coveted 6-seed in the Western Conference playoffs and skip the play-in tourney with a win Thursday. The Nuggets failed to clinch Tuesday after getting blasted at home 116-97 by the San Antonio Spurs.

Memphis already locked up the 2-seed out West but had its seven-game win streak snapped Tuesday in a 125-119 overtime loss at the Utah Jazz as a 5.5-point road underdog.

The Grizzlies are 3-0 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) versus the Nuggets this season and the total is 1-2 Over/Under (O/U).

Grizzlies at Nuggets odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 12:31 p.m. ET.

  • Money line (ML): Grizzlies +180 (bet $100 to win $180) | Nuggets -230 (bet $230 to win $100)
  • Against the spread: Grizzlies +5.5 (-112) | Nuggets -5.5 (-108)
  • Over/Under: 232.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Grizzlies

  • SG Dillon Brooks (hip) questionable

  • PF Michael Porter Jr. (back) out

[tipico]

Grizzlies at Nuggets odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nuggets 122, Grizzlies 112

Money line

PASS even though Denver should win comfortably because the Nuggets (-230) are way too expensive considering the Grizzlies keep winning games regardless of who’s in their starting 5. Furthermore, Memphis is 10-9 SU as a road underdog, which makes Denver’s ML a no-go.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the NUGGETS -5.5 (-108) for 1 unit because they have so much more motivation and the Grizzlies can’t exploit Denver’s weak backcourt since Memphis could be without both Brooks and Morant.

MVP-favorite C Nikola Jokic will also put the Nuggets on his back if need be and he’s balled out versus the Grizzlies this season. Jokic is averaging 27.7 points on 71.0% true shooting (.608/.400/.882), 9.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists with a plus-30 net rating in three games against Memphis this season.

This is a profitable price point for Denver who is 8-4 ATS as a 3-to-4.5-point favorite and the Nuggets have been hit by sharp line movement. Denver opened as a 2-point favorite and has been increased to the current number, which tells me the wiseguys see Denver’s motivation edge as well.

Finally, there may be some additional value on the NUGGETS -5.5 (-108) since they were just blown out at home by a shorthanded Spurs team and the Grizzlies are one of the feistier underdogs in the NBA this season.

Over/Under

PASS because this feels like a sharp total and my numbers align pretty closely with the market’s projected score.

For what it’s worth, I “lean” Over 232.5 (-110) because Denver is 44-34-2 O/U and 18-13-1 O/U as a home favorite while Memphis is 40-35-4 O/U and 10-7-2 O/U as a road underdog.

Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (55-23) visit Salt Lake City Tuesday to play the Utah Jazz (46-32). Tip-off at the Vivint Arena is set for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Grizzlies vs. Jazz odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Memphis enters on a 7-game winning streak – 6-1 against the spread (ATS) – with the latest being a 122-114 upset victory as a 7.5-point home underdog versus the Phoenix Suns Friday.

Utah is 1-6 straight up (SU) and 0-7 ATS in the last 7 games, most recently losing as a 2.5-point favorite at the Golden State Warriors 111-107 Saturday.

The Grizzlies are 2-0 SU and ATS versus the Jazz this season and the Over is 7-0 in the last seven Grizzlies-Jazz meetings.

[tipico]

Grizzlies at Jazz odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 116, Grizzlies 107

Money line

PASS. I’m confident the Jazz (-240) win, but the price is too expensive, especially considering the Grizzlies (+190) are 20-2 SU without Morant.

However, Utah’s huge flaw defensively is its inability to stay in front of ball handlers. Memphis will most likely be without its two best shot creators and penetrators in Morant and Brooks, who leads the Grizzlies in adjusted on/off net rating at plus-8.2, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Memphis’s offense will be far less efficient running through SG Desmond Bane and PF Jaren Jackson Jr. Without Morant and Brooks breaking down the Jazz’s defense and finding open shooters, I don’t see how the Grizzlies get good looks.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET JAZZ -5.5 (-115) for 1 unit because the Grizzlies +5.5 (-110), based on the analysis above, feels like a trap line.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, roughly 75% of the action is on Memphis, but the line hasn’t budged off the opener. This line freeze suggests the oddsmakers want more pro-Memphis money and the last thing we want to do as bettors is fall into the House’s trap.

Also, Utah has been downright terrible lately, which makes me feel even stronger about the JAZZ -5.5 (-115). Over the past two weeks, Utah is 26th in adjusted net rating (minus-9.1) and last in ATS margin (minus-9.8), per CTG.

UTAH -5.5 (-115) all the way up to -6.5 is the play.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 225.5 (-107).

A vast majority of the market is betting the Over and the total has been steamed way up from the 221-point opener despite Memphis’ backcourt absences.

It’s only a LEAN to the UNDER 225.5 (-107) since Utah is 6-0 O/U in the last 6 games versus teams with a winning record and Memphis is 11-1 O/U in the last 11 versus winning teams.

Phoenix Suns at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Phoenix Suns at Memphis Grizzlies odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Phoenix Suns (62-14) look to set a franchise record for regular-season wins when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies (54-23) Friday. Tip-off is 8 p.m. ET at FedEx Forum. Below, we look at the Suns vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Suns have won nine games in a row to tie the franchise regular-season win record with their most recent outing a 107-103 road victory over the Golden State Warriors Wednesday. They have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and home-court advantage throughout the postseason.

The Grizzlies trail the Suns by 8.5 games but have been equally hot. Memphis has won its last six games and 10 of its last 11 contests. The Grizzlies are coming off a nail-biting 112-111 win over the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday.

Suns at Grizzlies odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 128, Grizzlies 119

Money line

The Grizzlies appear to be resting players with injuries for the playoffs tonight, but the Suns should have a fully healthy lineup. Phoenix has the best overall record in the NBA and the best road record in the NBA.

The outcome of this game will not affect the standings whatsoever as both teams have clinched the top two seeds in the conference. That likely means a Suns win.

However, the price doesn’t make sense unless you include it in a parlay bet, so PASS on the money line.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Suns failed to cover the spread in their win over the Warriors Wednesday but are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games. They are 23-14 ATS on the road.

Memphis is 25-13 ATS at home this season. They failed the cover the spread in their win over the Spurs Wednesday but had covered in five straight prior.

The Suns beat the Grizzlies on the road 119-94 Nov. 12 and lost 114-113 at home to Memphis Dec. 27.

With most of the starting lineup out for the Grizzlies, expect the Suns to maintain control of this game.

Take the SUNS -7.5 (-102).

Over/Under

After a nine-game stretch of averaging 127.1 points per game, the Suns have scored 114 and 107 in their last two contests.

The Grizzlies have been filling the box score as well, averaging 123.1 points per game in their last 13 games.

This should be a fast-paced game with plenty of scoring.

Take OVER 229.5 (-107).

Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Antonio Spurs (31-44) are fighting for their playoff lives as they host the Memphis Grizzlies (53-23) Wednesday. Tip-off from AT&T Center is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Grizzlies vs. Spurs odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Over the past two weeks, San Antonio is 5-1 straight up (SU) and 3-3 against the spread (ATS). The Spurs have won 4 straight games with the latest being a 123-120 road win over the Houston Rockets Monday.

San Antonio is currently the 10th and the final play-in seed in the West. The Spurs own the tiebreaker against the Los Angeles Lakers, who have the same record.

Memphis is on a 5-game winning streak (5-0 ATS), all without All-Star PG Ja Morant. The Grizzlies are 18-2 SU in games Morant misses.

The Grizzlies are 3-0 SU and ATS versus the Spurs this season and have won 6 straight against San Antonio since January 2021 (5-1 ATS).

Grizzlies at Spurs odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 119, Spurs 116

Money line

PASS even though I like San Antonio plus the points and generally “sprinkle” on an underdog’s ML when betting it to cover the spread.

But I cannot get there with the Spurs (+180) because the Grizzlies (-230) have owned San Antonio in recent seasons and both teams have a similar identity. Memphis is just far more efficient.

The Grizzlies have a glaring strength-on-weakness edge on the glass. Memphis has the highest offensive-rebounding rate in the NBA and scores the most second-chance points per game (PPG). San Antonio is 24th in defensive-rebounding rate and 29th in second-chance PPG allowed.

Against the spread

LEAN SPURS +5.5 (-112).

They’re at home and playing with max motivation since they are in the thick of the playoff race. Plus, there’s reverse-line movement in San Antonio’s direction.

According to Pregame.com and VegasInsider.com, a vast majority of the market is betting on Memphis, but the Grizzlies have been lowered from 7-point opening favorites down to the current number. It’s a red flag whenever sportsbooks make the more popular side cheaper.

Lastly, despite what Memphis’ record is sans Morant, San Antonio has an edge in the backcourt. Spurs PG Dejounte Murray made his All-Star Game debut in February and he’ll ball out versus Grizzlies backup PG Tyus Jones.

It’s only a LEAN to the SPURS +5.5 (-112) since they are 6-13 ATS as home underdogs with a minus-4.0 ATS margin.

Over/Under

Slight LEAN to the OVER 233.5 (-115) because there isn’t a big margin between my prediction and the projected score and we’re getting the worst of the number. The look-ahead total for Grizzlies-Spurs was set at 230.5 and has been steamed up the current price by a flood of Over money.

But Memphis and San Antonio play at the fourth- and fifth-highest pace, respectively. Also, the Grizzlies are 20-16-2 O/U on the road and the Spurs are 21-15-1 O/U at home.

Golden State Warriors at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Golden State Warriors at Memphis Grizzlies and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (48-27) stop by FedExForum Monday to play the Memphis Grizzlies (52-23) at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Warriors vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Warriors have lost five of their last six games — 1-5 against the spread (ATS) — with the latest being a 123-115 loss at the Washington Wizards Sunday. This is Golden State’s final outing of a five-game Eastern Conference road swing.

Memphis has won eight of its last nine games (6-3 ATS) including four straight wins over the Houston Rockets Mar. 20 (122-98), Brooklyn Nets Wednesday (132-120), Indiana Pacers Thursday (133-103) and Milwaukee Bucks Saturday (127-102).

The Grizzlies are 2-1 straight up (SU) and ATS versus the Warriors this season and the total is 2-1 Over/Under (O/U) in those games. Memphis also eliminated Golden State in the final game of the Western Conference’s playoff play-in tourney last season.

Warriors at Grizzlies odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 119, Warriors 106

Money line

PASS.

I think Memphis wins easily but the Grizzlies (-750) are a no-go at this price. There’s no situation during the NBA regular season where a bettor should be laying -750, I don’t care how lopsided the matchup is.

However, Memphis should win this one fairly easily. The Grizzlies are 12-3 SU versus teams in the second of a back-to-back with the best adjusted net rating (plus-14.4), according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Golden State also needs both Curry and Green in the lineup to click on all cylinders. The Warriors are just 19-16 SU with Green out of the lineup and Curry has a plus-14.7 adjusted on/off net rating, which ranks in the 98th percentile for point guards, per CTG.

Against the spread

BET the GRIZZLIES -10.5 (-112) for 1 unit because this is a good spot for them and Memphis has a massive strength-on-weakness edge over the Warriors in the ball security department.

The Grizzlies are 15-8 ATS when playing with a rest advantage (plus-5.5 ATS margin) and 7-3 ATS as 10-point or greater favorites. Plus Memphis has the second-best ATS margin at plus-7.0 when playing teams on zero rest days, per CTG.

The Grizzlies also have the fourth-best defensive turnover rate (TOV%), per CTG, and score the fourth-most points off of turnovers per game. Whereas the Warriors have the second-worst offensive TOV%.

The GRIZZLIES -10.5 (-112) is my favorite wager in this game.

Over/Under

PASS because I prefer Memphis’s spread way more than the total and the situational trends don’t provide much of a clue.

For what it’s worth, I “lean” Over 223.5 (-108) because the Grizzlies should get a ton of easy buckets by forcing turnovers and Memphis is scoring 125.7 points per game over the past two weeks.

However, I don’t want to put on money on it since the absence of Curry significantly hurts Golden State’s offense and the Under has cashed in seven of the last nine Warriors-Grizzlies meetings.

Milwaukee Bucks at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Memphis Grizzlies and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (51-23) host the Milwaukee Bucks (46-27) Saturday at the FedExForum. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bucks vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Milwaukee has won 4 of the last 5 games — 4-1 against the spread (ATS) — including back-to-back home wins versus the Chicago Bulls Tuesday (126-98) and the Washington Wizards Thursday (114-102).

Memphis has won 7 of the last 8 games (5-3 ATS) and rides a 3-game winning streak with victories over the Houston Rockets Sunday (122-98), the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday (132-120) and the Indiana Pacers Thursday (133-103).

The Bucks beat the Grizzlies 126-114 in Milwaukee Jan. 19 but Memphis was without guards Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane and the Bucks had their Big 3 (Giannis AntetokounmpoJrue Holiday and Khris Middleton).

Bucks at Grizzlies odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 2:53 p.m. ET.

  • Money line (ML): Bucks +102 (bet $100 to win $102) | Grizzlies -125 (bet $125 to win $100)

Bucks at Grizzlies odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 118, Bucks 114

Money line

LEAN GRIZZLIES (-125). Their injury report is less concerning than the Bucks’, but I’d wait until Giannis’ official game status is announced before betting Memphis.

The Bucks score 8.7 fewer points per 100 possessions with Holiday off the floor, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG), and Holiday is the centerpiece of Milwaukee’s perimeter defense.

Holiday’s absence is key even though the Grizzlies will be without Morant because Brooks and Bane can make up for Morant’s missing production.

Also, Milwaukee has struggled in road games against good teams. The Bucks are 3-7 overall on the road versus teams with a top-10 net efficiency with the 21st-ranked adjusted net rating (minus-11.2) and the worst ATS margin (minus-11.1), per CTG.

MEMPHIS (-125) is the right side, but again, I’d wait until the official starting 5’s are announced before wagering on this game.

Against the spread

PASS. I’d rather play Memphis’s ML since it’s only 13 cents on the dollar more expensive than the Grizzlies -1.5 (-112).

Furthermore, the same rationale above applies here in that I wouldn’t lay points with Memphis until we know what’s up with Giannis. The Grizzlies’ spread will definitely get cheaper if Giannis is in the lineup.

Over/Under

PASS since my prediction is in line with the market’s projected total, so there’s no value in this number for me.

For what it’s worth, the Bucks are 36-37 O/U, including 18-17 O/U on the road, while the Grizzlies are 38-32-4 O/U overall and 18-16-2 O/U at home.

Indiana Pacers at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Indiana Pacers at Memphis Grizzlies odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (50-23) try to extend their win streak to three games when they host the Indiana Pacers (25-48) Thursday. Tip-off from FedExForum will be at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Pacers vs. Grizzlies odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Pacers are coming off a narrow 110-109 loss to the Sacramento Kings Wednesday, losing as 6-point favorites. They’re now just 4-6 in their last 10 games and have fallen out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

SG Buddy Hield led the team with 25 points in the loss to the Kings, while PG Tyrese Haliburton dished out 15 assists. SF Oshae Brissett had a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

The Grizzlies handled the Brooklyn Nets 132-120 at home Wednesday. PF Kevin Durant scored 35 and PG Kyrie Irving had 43 of his own, but the Grizzlies still pulled out a 12-point win thanks to three players scoring 20-plus points despite being without PG Ja Morant. The Grizzlies are second in the Western Conference, but they’re nine games back of the Phoenix Suns for the top seed.

Pacers at Grizzlies odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 126, Pacers 112

Money line

The Grizzlies (-900) are heavily favored in this game, as they should be. But that doesn’t mean you should bet on the money line. That means a $900 bet returns a profit of only $100. That’s not worth the risk.

PASS.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Grizzlies are 6-3 ATS have been favored by at least 10 points. They’ve covered the spread easily in three of their last four games and if Morant is back, they’ll have an even better chance to cover, However, he may be held out with the Pacers being a lesser opponent.

I like the GRIZZLIES -11.5 (-115).

Over/Under

The Grizzlies put up 132 points Wednesday without Morant. They now face a terrible Pacers defense which allows 113.1 points per game, 24th in the NBA.

Bet the OVER 236.5 (-108), which has hit in six of the Grizzlies’ last 10 games.
