UFC 310 Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay: 2024 total passes $8 million

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program has now paid out more than $8 million to athletes in 2024 under the Venum deal.

LAS VEGAS – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC 310 event took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay totaling $368,500.

The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

UFC 310 took place at T-Mobile Arena. The main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout tiers, which appropriate the money generated by Venum’s multi-year sponsorship with the UFC, fighters are paid based on their total number of UFC bouts, as well as Zuffa-era WEC fights (January 2007 and later) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts (April 2011 and later). Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance; 4-5 bouts get $4,500; 6-10 bouts get $6,000; 11-15 bouts earn $11,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000; and 21 bouts and more get $21,000. Additionally, champions earn $42,000 while title challengers get $32,000.

In addition to experience-based pay, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.

UFC 310 video: Kennedy Nzechukwu crushes Lukasz Brzeski with devastating knockout blows

Kennedy Nzechukwu kicked UFC 310 off with a bang.

LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Kennedy Nzechukwu[/autotag] is revitalized at heavyweight.

A Fortis MMA product, Nzechukwu (14-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) kicked Saturday’s UFC 310 prelims off with a bang at T-Mobile Arena as he crushed [autotag]Lukasz Brzeski[/autotag] (9-6-1 MMA, 1-5 UFC) with knockout blows to stop the fight at 4:51 of Round 1.

A brutal counter combination that ended with a right hand floored Brzeski as the clock wound down in Round 1. Nzechukwu landed a few more follow-up shots from the standing position before referee Chris Tognoni intervened.

With the win, Nzechukwu moves to 2-0 at heavyweight following a 6-5 stint in the promotion’s light heavyweight division. Brzeski falls into a two-fight skid. He has been knocked out three times in six UFC appearances.

Two heavyweights withdraw from UFC 310; one fight backfilled

Two UFC 310 heavyweights have withdrawn due to injury, but only one opening has been backfilled.

Two heavyweight fights scheduled for UFC 310 have been impacted by withdrawals.

With [autotag]Tallison Teixeira[/autotag] off the Dec. 10 card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas due to injury, Kennedy Nzechukwu has stepped into the lineup opposite [autotag]Lukasz Brzeski[/autotag]. Additionally, after [autotag]Martin Buday[/autotag] pulled out due to injury, his bout vs. [autotag]Rizvan Kuniev[/autotag] was canceled altogether.

The promotion made both changes official Wednesday. Polish outlet InTheCage.pl first reported the Nzechukwu-Brzeski bout.

Nzechukwu (13-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) made his promotional heavyweight debut in October when he finished Chris Barnett with strikes in Round 1. The win snapped a two-fight losing skid.

Brzeski (9-5-1 MMA, 1-4 UFC) aims to turn things around after a knockout loss to Mick Parkin in March. The defeat came after his first career UFC win, a unanimous decision over Valter Walker.

UFC Fight Night 240’s Lukasz Brzeski responds to Johnny Walker’s claim that brother Valter earned decision

Lukasz Brzeski picked up his first promotional win at UFC Fight Night 240, although some believed Valter Walker deserved the decision.

LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Lukasz Brzeski[/autotag]’s first UFC win did not go as he anticipated, but couldn’t be happier with the result.

Brzeski (9-4-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC) faced Valter Walker at UFC Fight Night 240, picking up a much-needed victory by unanimous decision. Walker (11-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) was able to get Brzeski to the ground throughout the fight, which came as a surprise.

Valter’s brother and fellow UFC fighter, Johnny Walker, did not agree with the unanimous decision outcome. “The numbers don’t lie,” Johnny wrote on X, highlighting the control time totals, which were significantly in his brother’s favor.

“To people that think my opponent won, I could say only that he should attack me more from the top positions,” Brzeski said.

Over the 15-minute bout, Brzeski landed more strikes than Walker, convincing judges that he deserved the unanimous nod. After losing his first three UFC bouts, Brzeski came into this fight with a different approach.

“I said to myself, ‘Why should I give so much pressure to myself?'” Brzeski said. “I came with an easy attitude and it worked out.”

Valter Walker, brother of Johnny Walker, set (again) for UFC debut

Did you know Johnny Walker has an undefeated heavyweight brother? His name is Valter and he’s set for his UFC debut.

[autotag]Valter Walker[/autotag] has his UFC debut set – again.

Approximately seven months after his promotional debut was initially scheduled, Walker (11-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will finally make his first walk to the UFC cage on April 6 vs. [autotag]Lukasz Brzeski[/autotag] (8-4-1 MMA, 0-3 UFC).

Both fighters recently confirmed the booking on social media after Walker’s coach, Gor Azizyan, announced it on Instagram.

While it’s unclear why it was canceled, Walker’s debut was initially scheduled for September vs. Jake Collier. However, Walker pulled out in the weeks leading up to the event.

Walker, 26, is the brother of Johnny Walker and a former Titan FC heavyweight champion. He has seven finishes including six TKOs and one submission in seven professional wins.

Brzeski, 31, looks to make the fourth time the charm. After a UFC contract-earning win on Dana White’s Contender Series (that was later overturned to a no contest due to his failed drug test) in 2021, Brzeski lost consecutive decisions against Martin Buday and Karl Williams before he was finished with strikes by Waldo Cortes-Acosta.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for April 6 includes:
