Check out the best images from Alabama’s dominating Week 3 performance!

Alabama returned home to Bryant-Denny Stadium for the Week 3 matchup against Louisiana Monroe following an ugly one-point win over the Texas Longhorns.

The Crimson Tide was on a mission to prove to the nation that a near loss will not disrupt the effort to return to the College Football Playoffs.

In dominating fashion, Alabama defeated the Warhawks with a final score of 63-7. A record was also broken by Alabama when the team scored a touchdown in all three facets of the game (offense, defense, special teams) with over seven minutes left in the first quarter.

Because of how fast the Crimson Tide moved in this win, there were plenty of moments fans might have missed. Here are the top photos from the Week 3 win.

Roll Tide Wire’s player of the game for Week 3’s matchup against Louisiana Monroe is running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

Alabama followed up a nail-biter win against Texas with a blowout victory over the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. The Crimson Tide took advantage of an early 28-0 lead in the first half and cruised their way to a decisive 63-7 victory over the Warhawks.

Roll Tide Wire’s player of the game is running back Jahmyr Gibbs. This is his second time being our player of the game so far this season. In today’s game, Gibbs had nine carries for 36 rushing yards. Along with that, he also hauled in four receptions for 65 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Gibbs has been a huge addition thus far for the Crimson Tide. He can make defenders miss and is always a threat with the ball in his hands. It will be intriguing to see how Gibbs performs as the season progresses.

Alabama puts up 63 points in win over ULM, advances to 3-0 on season

Alabama remains undefeated heading into Week 4!

Alabama football entered Week 3 with a lot of question marks following an ugly one-point win over the Texas Longhorns a week prior. The Crimson Tide returned to Bryant-Denny Stadium to take on the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks, where the game got out of hand early.

Before the first quarter was close to ending, Alabama had scored a touchdown in all three facets of the game: offense, defense and special teams.

In an attempt to return to the College Football Playoff, Alabama will likely have to run the table and Louisiana Monroe was just another team in the way of achieving that.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover the Crimson Tide as the 2022 season continues and the team prepares for Vanderbilt in Week 4.

LOOK: Twitter reacts to Will Anderson’s epic interception returned for TD

Will Anderson came down with the interception and managed to take it to the house!

Alabama and Louisiana Monroe are quarrying off in a Week 3 showdown in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Though the game is young, it has not fared well for the visiting Warhawks.

The Crimson Tide opened the game by receiving the kickoff, and that’s where things went south for Louisiana Monroe.

The opening drive ended with a Crimson Tide touchdown pass from Young to Traeshon Holden.  The very next offensive drive for Alabama saw Young through his first interception of the season.

The interception was a bit rough, but that didn’t slow down the Crimson Tide defense. When Louisiana Monroe took the field, Will Anderson decided to wreak havoc. The edge rusher picked the ball off and returned it over 20 yards to the house.

Here’s what Twitter had to say.

Alabama and ULM take the field for a Week 3 showdown. Relive memories from the last time the Crimson Tide took on the Warhawks!

Alabama lost the top spot in the latest AP top-25 poll to Georgia following an ugly win over the Texas Longhorns. Now, the Crimson Tide’s focus has shifted to the team’s third opponent of the 2022 season, the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks.

The series is split at one apiece under Nick Saban, with Louisiana Monroe winning the first meeting in 2007 and the Crimson Tide exacting revenge back in 2015.

The 2015 contest was loaded with Crimson Tide star power, headlined by Derrick Henry. Alabama won that game convincingly with a final score of 34-0.

Chargers sign RB Derrick Gore

The Los Angeles Chargers added a familiar face to the backfield.

The Chargers signed running back Derrick Gore on Tuesday, the team announced.

Los Angeles drafted RB Joshua Kelley in the fourth-round of this year’s draft to nearly solidify the backfield. But the team needed more bodies at the position for the sake of depth heading into training camp.

Gore, the undrafted free agent out Louisiana-Monroe, spent the preseason with the Chargers in 2019. He was released and was then added to the Redskins’ practice squad later that year.

Below is Los Angeles’ official team statement:

The Los Angeles Chargers today signed running back Derrick Gore.

Gore spent last season on the practice squad for the Washington Redskins and the Chargers after spending the 2019 offseason with Los Angeles. In four preseason games with the Bolts, Gore ran for 64 yards and a touchdown on 12 attempts (5.3 avg.), hauled in an eight-yard reception and returned a kickoff 13 yards. He led the Chargers in rushing in the preseason finale at San Francisco, scoring the game-winning touchdown on an 11-yard run late in the fourth quarter.

The first-year player finished his collegiate career at Louisiana-Monroe after transferring from Alabama. Over 43 career games, Gore ran for 1,355 yards and 13 touchdowns while catching 35 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown.
