What we learned from the Bills’ loss to the Broncos

What we learned from the #Bills’ loss to the #Broncos:

The Buffalo Bills taught us some things in their latest outing in Week 10.

The Bills (5-5) lost to the Denver Broncos (3-5) on Monday Night Football by a final score of 24-22. Buffalo’s offense had a lackluster outing but the defense did its best to hold a strong opponent despite a series of injuries building up.

Mistakes in the end ruined it all.

And just in time for the playoff push.

After letting the result sink in, let’s take some time to look back and reflect. What exactly did Buffalo’s football team teach us this week?

Here are five things we learned from the Bills’ loss to the broncos in Week 10:

Bills punch in touchdown vs. Broncos after Taron Johnson takeaway (video)

The #Bills tie it up:

A series of great plays from the Bills and it’s all tied up with the Broncos.

The Bills defense first came up huge. On third down, defender Taron Johnson forced a fumble as Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton was pushing for a first down. The ball was picked up by one of the newest Bills defensive backs, Rasul Douglas.

From there, the Bills offense went to work. Seven plays later, running back Latavius Murray scored on the goal line. On that ensuing drive, the big play was a pass from quarterback Josh Allen to Khalil Shakir that went 24 yards down the field.

The turnover and touchdown can be found below:

Bills offense holds players only meeting ahead of Broncos matchup

Will it help?

The Buffalo Bills offense decided to hold a player-only meeting ahead of facing the Denver Broncos in Week 10.

According to veteran running back Latavius Murray, he was the only that called the team together to address what’s going on for the group.

The Bills enter their matchup with the Broncos at a 5-4 record. Buffalo sits behind the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East standings and that’s not what many were hopefully for in the locker room this season.

“Hopefully it’s a step in the right direction,” Murray said.

We’ll see if the meeting pays off when Denver heads to Buffalo for Monday Night Football action.

Murray discussing the meeting can be found in the 13WHAM-TV clip below:

Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos: Team connections

We can start with the obvious one:

The Buffalo Bills will host the Denver Broncos in their upcoming Week 10 matchup.

It’s a brand new NFL weekend with plenty on the line for both teams. But for some on the Bills (5-4) and Broncos (3-5) there is a bit more at stake than the others.

That’s because some players and coaches for both teams could be playing against their former club. That can create a little bit of extra motivation for them heading into Monday.

With that, here’s a quick list of connections the two teams have with one another ahead of the upcoming matchup at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park:

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-18, in their Week 8 matchup on Thursday Night Football.

The Bills (5-3) had a few players that stood out above the rest in this one. Particularly on offense, Buffalo had a sound game plan. However, the Bills were not perfect and in the end, the game was close.

The Bills will hope such consistency and wins will remain in their efforts throughout the rest of the 2023 season. But Buffalo will need these players to turn it around a bit.
