The college football individual awards for 2020-21 season were completely revealed on Thursday night.

After seeing its star wide receiver DeVonta Smith take home the Heisman Trophy, we got to see him add to that collection. We also got to see several of his offensive teammates take home awards too.

Check out how impressive this looks.

Alabama lands eight players on AP All-America team

The Alabama Crimson Tide ran through the first SEC-only schedule in history with an 11-0 mark and No. 1 overall ranking in the College Football Playoff.

With such team success comes plenty of individual success, too. The Crimson Tide dominated the All-SEC teams last week and, on Monday, the AP released its All-American team, and, as expected, featured plenty of Alabama stars.

Quarterback Mac Jones, running back Najee Harris, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood, center Landon Dickerson and cornerback Patrick Surtain II were all first-team selections.

Defensive lineman Christian Barmore and linebacker Dylan Moses were third-team selections on defense.

Jones, Harris and Smith on the first team is the first time since 1980 that a quarterback, running back and wide receiver from the same team all made first-team All-American.

Just last week, Jones and Smith were named finalists for the Heisman Trophy with Harris just outside the top four. Smith was also named SEC offensive player of the year.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are two wins away from capturing yet another national championship. The Crimson Tide capped off another undefeated season on Saturday by defeating Florida in the SEC championship game.

A big reason for that success was all of the stars Alabama has on both sides of the ball. Earlier on Tuesday, the SEC announced all-conference teams, and 15 members of the Crimson Tide received honors.

Also announced on Tuesday were the top honors: offensive and defensive player of the year and coach of the year.

As expected, the Crimson Tide took home those awards, too.

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith was named SEC offensive player of the year.

The 6-foot-1 senior from Amite, Louisiana, caught 98 passes for 1,511 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown and returned a punt for a touchdown.

Smith’s biggest competition for offensive player of the year were teammates Najee Harris and Mac Jones and Florida quarterback Kyle Trask.

Cornerback Patrick Surtain II was named SEC defensive player of the year.

The 6-foot-2 junior from Plantation, Florida, started every game from Alabama in 2020, registering 32 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and one interception.

Alabama coach Nick Saban won SEC coach of the year for the fifth time.

Senior center Landon Dickerson and senior offensive tackle Andrew Leatherwood were both awarded the Jacobs Blocking Trophy.

Jones won SEC scholar-athlete of the year.

Alabama won five of the seven individual awards in the SEC on Tuesday.

Fifteen Alabama players receive All-SEC honors

The Alabama Crimson recently completed another undefeated season and a win in the SEC championship game. Next up for the Crimson Tide is the College Football Playoff.

To the surprise of no one, Alabama led the SEC with 15 players receiving All-SEC honors.

Leading the way on offense was quarterback Mac Jones, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, running back Najee Harris, offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood, guard Deonte Brown, and center Landon Dickerson. Each of those players was named first-team All-SEC.

On defense, Crimson Tide had three players named first-team All-SEC in defensive lineman Christian Barmore, linebacker Dylan Moses, and cornerback Patrick Surtain II.

Linebacker Christopher Allen and defensive back Malachi Moore were named to the second team, while receiver Jaylen Waddle made the second team on special teams, despite missing time with an injury.

Linebacker Will Anderson Jr., offensive lineman Javion Cohen and Moore made the All-SEC freshman team.

This is the 13th consecutive season that Alabama has led the SEC in all-conference selections.

2021 NFL draft: 49ers hit 2 key needs in Draft Wire mock

The 49ers roster gets a boost in the secondary with Jaycee Horn and on the offensive line with Landon Dickerson.

The San Francisco 49ers’ list of draft needs could be altered dramatically over the couple of months leading into free agency. Two spots, offensive line and cornerback, both look like they’ll remain relatively high on the club’s priority list. San Francisco hit both of those needs in a two-round projection posted by Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling.

In this version of the draft, the 49ers select No. 14 and snag South Carolina cornerback Jaycee Horn.

Horn, listed at 6-1, 205 pounds, played in seven games for the Gamecocks this season before option out for the remainder of the year to prepare for the NFL draft. The only two interceptions of Horn’s career came this season, and he posted 23 pass breakups over his three years at South Carolina. It remains to be seen whether an early opt-out will affect Horn’s draft stock, but early on in the process he looks like a player who could step in and start for the cornerback-needy 49ers on Day 1.

The 49ers’ second pick, which came at No. 45, addressed their need on the offensive line with Alabama’s Landon Dickerson. He has tremendous size for an interior lineman at 6-6, 325 pounds and could be perhaps one of the best two or three players on the Tide’s offense. Dickerson had an injury-ravaged three seasons with Florida State before transferring to Alabama last year. He played right guard last year before transitioning and thriving at center this season.  A versatile player like Dickerson would be a nice fit for a 49ers offensive front that desperately needs help inside.

Analysis: Florida State grad transfer Landon Dickerson was a crucial pickup for Alabama prior to the 2019 season. After spending most of his career at either right guard or right tackle for the Seminoles, the North Carolina native made the move to center for the Tide four games into the season.

And while his more natural position might be right guard, he did continue to get better at center as the season wore on. His physical style of play — with sometimes costly due to unnecessary penalties — was helpful in Alabama establishing a dominate run game with Najee Harris.

The question, much like with Deonte Brown, is where will Dickerson play in 2020? He could stick around at center, but it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see him kick back out to right guard if redshirt freshman Darrian Dalcourt — or veteran Chris Owens — proves to be an effective option at center.

The good part about Dickerson is that he could more than likely play four of the five offensive line positions if need be — with the only concerning question mark being left tackle.
