Ohio State finally gets some College Football 25 respect!

Ohio State finally gets some College Football 25 respect! #GoBucks

We have been diving deep into the conspiracy that EA Sports hates Ohio State recently, but EA Sports has finally released some gameplay footage of the upcoming College Football 25 and it looks like the Buckeyes have finally earned some respect.

As former Ohio State quarterback, Kirk Herbstreit, is narrating the new features of the game, and we can see star wide receiver, Emeka Egbuka, make a beautiful sideline catch much like he would in real life. It isn’t much, but after the trailer debacle which featured Lathan Ransom get annihilated by a Donovan Edwards stiff arm, this was the most we could hope for.

ESPN College GameDay crew picks winner of Ohio State vs. Penn State

Who did each ESPN College GameDay crew member pick to win the Ohio State vs. Penn State matchup. #GoBucks

It’s a big one for Ohio State Saturday, and as such, ESPN College GameDay is in Columbus in the shadow of the ‘Shoe for the Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions. The entire college football world will have its eyes focused on the banks of the Olentangy.

There’s other big games in the country, but you know when the pregame shows descend at the same time — Fox’s Big Nook Kickoff is also on hand — that it’s a massive matchup.

Analysts Desmond HowardPat McAfeeLee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit were joined by a familiar guest picker, former Ohio State and current Houston Texans quarterback, C.J. Stroud (who just so happens to be tearing it up in the NFL) to make their picks for this week.

Find out below what team each of ESPN analysts picked to win the cataclysmic matchup on Saturday.

Watch: Kirk Herbstreit says Ohio State quarterback battle could go into season

Do you think Herbie is right?

One of the biggest questions for [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] heading into the 2023 season is who will win the quarterback derby.

Former Buckeye quarterback [autotag]Kirk Herbsteit[/autotag] shared his thoughts about what could happen for Ohio State this fall with On3’s J.D. Pickell. The current ESPN analyst believes that the competition between [autotag]Devin Brown[/autotag] and [autotag]Kyle McCord[/autotag] could bleed into the the first few games of the seasons.

Can’t say I don’t disagree with Herbie, I had this belief a few months ago when analyzing what both had to offer as the starter. It makes plenty of sense for head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] to do this, each of them has had limited reps at this level and developing depth is paramount.

Brown, the better athlete, could carve out a red zone package that McCord wouldn’t be as good at. The better passer, McCord, already has established a rapport with Marvin Harrison Jr., they did attend the same high school and could lead the passing attack.

It remains to be seen how Day handles the situation, but it’s hard to disagree with Herbstreit’s assessment of the battle.
