Running Back Recruit Justice Haynes Receives Offer From Notre Dame

Sometimes, when seemingly every program is after somebody, you gotta make your move.

Sometimes, when seemingly every program is after somebody, you gotta make your move. Lance Taylor could see this during his pursuit of Justice Haynes, a running back from Blessed Trinity Catholic in Rosewell, Georgia. The time to make an offer to play at Notre Dame to the offensive player of the year in his state’s region was now or never. Luckily, Haynes confirmed that Taylor chose now:

Notre Dame’s offer was the fifth Haynes had received since Wednesday. The Irish came in just behind Oregon, Western Kentucky, Ohio State and Auburn in that order. Despite this latest round of offers pouring in, 247Sports sees Georgia as the clear front-runner to land his services. This all comes on top of the offers he’s also received from such schools as Florida State, Miami, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Arkansas and Georgia Tech.

It goes without saying, but having to field offers from so many prominent programs in such a short period of time is a good problem for any recruit to have.

Tennessee offers 2023 Georgia running back.

Tennessee has extended a series of offers to young high school prospects in recent weeks, one of them being 2023 running back Justice Haynes from Roswell, Georgia.

Haynes is a sophomore at Blessed Trinity Catholic and is already developing a reputation among college football recruiters as a smaller, shifty running back. He is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound prospect that checks in as a 4-star and the No. 4 running back in his class according to 247Sports.

Haynes is also a pitcher on the baseball diamond. He has collected offers from Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State and Georgia Tech.

Haynes’ father Verron Haynes is a former Georgia running back.

Verron Haynes was on the receiving end of a David Greene pass to help Georgia defeat Tennessee in 2001.

He was spectacular as a freshman in high school and racked up 1,754 rushing yards along with 18 touchdowns. This helped Haynes be named to the Preseason All-State Georgia high school football team by Max Preps.

Justice Haynes already has committed to the 2023 Under Armour High School All-American Game. He’s a four-star recruit and one of the top running back recruits in his class (he currently holds the No. 4 ranking). Haynes will have a long time to decide where he wants to play college football.

Hayne’s father, Verron, ran for 738 yards over several seasons in Athens. Verron Haynes went on to win a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. Best of luck to Justice Haynes moving forward.
