This cornerback class is insanely deep.

In my initial study, I have written up full scouting reports on 12 cornerbacks and they all received grades of at least 79.0. That is a high third-round grade and 10 of those 12 got second-round grades.

Here is how I have the class currently graded before the NFL combine and athletic testing.

The NFL draft starts in Mobile, and even with the Eagles preparing to face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, all eyes this week will be on Alabama, for the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Philadelphia has one of the NFL’s top secondary, but James Bradbery and Gardner-Johnson are free agents, while Darius Slay has one or two elite seasons left.

With 18+ Eagles set to hit unrestricted free agency, Howie Roseman could look to upgrade the secondary via the NFL Draft.

Senior Bowl reveals the DBs that Lions coach Shaun Dion Hamilton will have in Mobile

Lions defensive assistant Shaun Dion Hamilton will have some promising CBs to work with as the DBs coach of the American team in the Senior Bowl

Lions defensive assistant coach Shaun Dion Hamilton is getting a great opportunity to showcase himself at next week’s Senior Bowl. Hamilton, who joined the Lions coaching staff after retiring last summer, is in charge of the defensive backs on the American team roster in Mobile.

The Senior Bowl has now revealed which players Hamilton will have under his charge for the week of practices and the game itself.

Hamilton doesn’t have any top names, but there are some talents here who should definitely intrigue both Lions fans and the team itself.

The first name on the list, Kansas State’s Julius Brents, fits the profile the Lions like in outside CBs. He’s 6-foot-4 (listed) and showed good ball skills for the Wildcats, as well as a willingness to get heavily involved in run defense. Virginia’s Anthony Johnson earned first-team All-ACC honors over some more prominent names and also has the length and physicality the Lions like.
