Joel Bitonio unsurprisingly leads all Browns offensive linemen in Madden 24 ratings

Madden 24 continues to drop their ratings as Joel Bitonio sits atop all Browns offensive linemen. Here are all of their ratings.

Madden 24 continues to drop its player ratings in anticipation of the release of the game, this time getting around to offensive linemen. And unsurprisingly, the leader of the offensive linemen for the Cleveland Browns is none other than their All-Pro left guard Joel Bitonio.

Hang around here as we take a look at all of the ratings from the Browns’ offensive linemen as Madden 24 has dropped them.

Browns land 6 players on Pro Football Network’s top 100 list entering 2023 season

The Browns received a ton of recognition from Pro Football Network’s Dalton Miller

The Cleveland Browns have officially kicked off training camp with rookies and quarterbacks already in the building. They will begin practicing on July 22 in Greenbriar, West Virginia. This also means the rankings pieces and others will take a back seat as actual football content will be returning for our consumption.

However, in an NFL top-100 piece completed by Pro Football Network’s Dalton Miller (before we move off of rankings pieces), the Browns saw six of their players make an appearance. Here are the six players, and here is what Miller had to say about them.

4-Down Territory: Debating the NFL’s 50 most dominant players

In the return of “4-Down Territory.” Kyle Madson and Doug Farrar discuss the NFL Wire’s recent 50 most dominant players list.

Recently, the writers and editors for all the team sites around the NFL Wire network voted for the 50 most dominant players in the NFL today. It’s a great list full of the best talent in the league today, but you know how these things go — there’s always someone ready to poke holes in these things.

In this case, those “somebodies” are Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar and Kyle Madson of Niners Wire, in this week’s episode of “4-Down Territory.” Both Doug and Kyle were eager to present their cases for the offensive and defensive players who should have made the list, and the ones who did… and perhaps shouldn’t have.

You can read both parts of the list here:

50 most dominant NFL players of 2023, Nos. 50-26

50 most dominant NFL players of 2023, Nos. 25-1

The six players who should have made our ’50 most dominant’ list — but didn’t

The NFL Wire’s list of the 50 most dominant players was great, but here are six players who should have made the cut… and didn’t.

There’s no doubt whatsoever that every player on the NFL Wire’s list of the 50 most dominant in the league today is a great player. You don’t make those lists if you’re historically average, and there are reasons for inclusion for each player.

That said, when you have dozens of editors and analysts voting for players, and you tabulate the results at the end, things will skew in this direction and that, and you won’t always be able to include every player deserving of inclusion.

So it is with our list, which you can read in two parts here:

50 most dominant NFL players of 2023, Nos. 50-26

50 most dominant NFL players of 2023, Nos. 25-1

Now, based on the results, and the players who missed the cut, here’s my list of the players who deserved to be in the Top 50, and were not for whatever reason.

Which current players have the best shot at the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Browns: What current players have Pro Football Hall of Fame resumes?

With long-time offensive tackle Joe Thomas set to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in just three weeks, the Cleveland Browns have their first inductee since returning to the NFL in 1999. This got us thinking: which current players in the brown and orange have a shot at getting their own bust made once they hang up their cleats?

Here are a few players still building their resumes in Cleveland that have a shot of getting the legendary knock on their door once they retire from football.

Browns land two on 33rd Team’s Hall of Fame chances list

Do the Browns have two future Hall of Famers on their roster in Myles Garrett and Joel Bitonio?

With training camps set to start all over the NFL this month, the 33rdTeam released a list of active players and their Pro Football Hall of Fame chances. On this list, they organized them into three categories; locks, likely, and potentially in that order. The Cleveland Browns had two players on the list both in the lowest category of potentially on edge Myles Garrett and guard Joel Bitonio.

Here is what the 33rd Team had to say about both Garrett and Bitonio and why they are on the right path toward joining Joe Thomas in Canton, Ohio.

The Xs and Os with Greg Cosell: Building the perfect offensive line

In this week’s Xs and Os video and podcast, Greg Cosell and Doug Farrar endeavor to build the perfect offensive line.

In the last two episodes of “The Xs and Os with Greg Cosell and Doug Farrar,” Greg (of NFL Films and ESPN’s MFL Matchup) and Doug (of Touchdown Wire and USA Today’s Sports Media Group) endeavored to build the perfect secondary, and the perfect defensive line by specifying the traits and attributes required for every position in those positional groups.

Now, in this week’s “Xs and Os,” Greg and Doug turn their attention to the offensive line. What do offensive tackles, offensive guards, and centers need to do to become among the best in the NFL today? From vertical sets to switching your hands to picking up stunts, this is some seriously nerdy football devoted to the front five.

75 days until Browns season opener: 5 players to wear 75 for Cleveland

The number 75 has been worn by several players during the teams history

With just 75 days remaining until the Cleveland Browns play football again opening up at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. The number 75 in Cleveland has been worn by a player that has a chance to make the Hall of Fame since Joel Bitonio was drafted in 2014. All said and told there have been 20 different players in the team’s history to wear the number 75.

The Browns will start training camp early this season with the extra preseason game against the New York Jets in the Hall of Fame game. It will be a special weekend for the Browns as long-time Cleveland Brown and one of the best left tackles ever, Joe Thomas, is inducted into the Hall this summer.

PFF believes the Cleveland Browns offensive and defensive lines are elite

PFF is pleased with the trenches in Cleveland

With training camp another month away publications like PFF have begun releasing some of their overall rankings in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns are in elite air when it comes to line play as PFF had them as one of three teams to have both offensive and defensive lines rank in the top 10.

It makes sense on the offensive line, especially as when healthy the unit has been one of the best in the league. The iron man Joel Bitonio at left guard managed to get better as his long career has gone on and when healthy Jack Conklin has been great at right tackle. Ethan Pocic has turned around his early career and Wyatt Teller is a mauler in the run game.

On defense, they have arguably the best edge rusher and added a player in Za’Darius Smith opposite him that has had three double-digit sack seasons in the last four years when healthy. Ogbo Okoronkwo continues to be overlooked as the third pass rusher and Dalvin Tomlinson has improved his pass rush.

PFF shares their 10 highest-graded Browns since they began in 2006

Of the Browns top 10 highest graded players since 2006, four still play for the team.

PFF began grading players back in 2006 and has now released the top 10 highest-graded  Cleveland Browns players in that time. The top of the list should be no surprise as Joe Thomas will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame later this summer as one of the best to ever do it.

Of the top 10, there are four current Browns players on the team and a total of five players that are offensive linemen. During all the struggles they always seemed to have some decent offensive linemen. The list ends with a player that had all the talent in the world but couldn’t stay on the field in Josh Gordon.

Let’s take a look at the top 10 ranked players since 2006 according to PFF.
