The Cleveland Browns’ Nick Chubb put on a show against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday … during one run.
Watch as the great back first sheds the Eagles’ Joe Ostman with a stiff-arm and then continues to march down the sideline, eventually finishing with a 54-yard run.

Eagles Inactives vs. Browns: Elijah Holyfield and Joe Ostman both active for the first time in NFL careers
The Philadelphia Eagles released their inactives list for Sunday’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns and the Birds added some physicality to the game-day roster. Running back Elijah Holyfield and defensive end Joe Ostman are both active for the first time in their NFL careers.

The Eagles elevated Holyfield from the practice squad for today’s game.
Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill, Ostman, and tight end Caleb Wilson were elevated from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.
Rudy Ford, Nate Herbig, Nate Sudfeld, Jason Huntley, Brett Toth, and Quez Watkins were all inactive.
Three players were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list this week and will not play today: wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, running back Corey Clement, and defensive end Vinny Curry.

Ostman was originally signed by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has spent each of the first two years of his NFL career in Philadelphia.
The former Central Michigan star had a solid camp and can fill in for the Eagles if something happens to Brandon Graham, Vinny Curry, Derek Barnett, or Josh Sweat.

The Philadelphia Eagles protected four practice squad players in advance of Sunday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Joe Ostman, Deontay Burnett, T.Y. McGill, and Trevor Williams all could see time thanks to injured Eagles.
Ostman and Williams could see time with Derek Barnett, Vinny Curry, and Craig James all nursing injuries.

Joe Ostman is back and his strong training camp with the Eagles won’t go unnoticed as the powerful defensive end is returning to join the Eagles practice squad per Zach Berman of The Athletic.
Joe Ostman and Travis Fulgham are rejoining the Eagles practice squad.
Practice squad is 16 players this season. Two players can be added to roster before each game.

Genard Avery listed as day to day with a lower-body injury

The Eagles received some really good news on Thursday when talented pass rusher Genard Avery was listed as day to day with a lower-body injury after being carted off from practice on Wednesday.

defensive end Joe Ostman was also listed as day to day, while left tackle Andre Dillard was at practice to start but is sidelined with Jordan Mailata and Matt Pryor getting reps with the first-team tackles.

Eagles’ QB Carson Wentz narrowly avoided injury as Andre Dillard continues to struggle with the bull rush

The Eagles believe they have their left tackle of the future in Andre Dillard and even after an offseason spent bulking up, the former first-round pick is still having his troubles.
During a fully padded Eagles’ practice on Wednesday morning, Carson Wentz was dropping back to pass when Dillard was bull-rushed back into the quarterback’s knee by Joe Ostman.

It was a scary sight and speaks to the fragility of Dillard and Wentz’s relationship, as they go hand in hand. Dillard is responsible for the franchise quarterback’s blindside and his inability to handle the bull rush will now become a concern as the Eagles sit less than three weeks away from facing Washington and stud pass rusher, Chase Young.
For a Wentz, it just adds to the polarizing figure he’s become around the city, where even the scariest of practice hits becomes breaking news because of the trickle-down effect it could have.

Joe Ostman working at family’s bakery amid COVID-19 pandemic
Joe Ostman is a talented NFL player but he hasn’t reached the status of a JJ Watt or Brandon Graham when it comes to his contract status.
Ostman, like so many other Americans, was forced to shut down the focus on the NFL to help keep his family business afloat. During a feature with 6ABC, Ostman allowed cameras into his family’s 80-year old establishment, the Mackinaw Bakery, located in Mackinaw City, Michigan. The bakery was started by his great grandparents nearly 80 years ago.
While rehabbing a knee injury, Ostman returned to his roots to makes sure his family’s legacy stays intact.

Ostman told 6abc sportscaster Jeff Skversky, “It’s the only job I’ve ever had, other than playing for the Eagles. I do what I can to help and the donuts taste good as well, so that’s a perk!”
Ostman is skilled at making donuts, cakes, pies, cookies, bread, frosting, and other tasty desserts.
Ostman spent 2018 on the Eagles practice squad and he missed off of the 2019 NFL season after suffering a torn ACL late in training camp.
