Jets vs. Bills inactives: Demaryius Thomas only notable player out for New York against Buffalo

The Jets will be without Demaryius Thomas for the third straight game against the Bills.

The Jets will be as healthy as they’ve ever been in their final game against the Bills.

New York will only be without a couple of starters in Demaryius Thomas and Tom Compton. The rest of the Jets inactives are all backup players. That includes Blake Countess, Ross Travis, Jordan Willis, Kenneth Dixon, Josh Adams and Bennett Jackson.

With Thomas down once again, Vyncint Smith will likely fill his spot at wide receiver. He has done a solid job filling in as he’s had at least one catch in his last five games.

Brent Qvale will slide into Compton’s position at guard. He has missed the majority of the season with a knee injury that he suffered in training camp. This will be his first start of the season.

As for the Bills, they are resting the majority of their key starters.  The Bills’ top wide receivers John Brown and Cole Beasley are inactive. Meanwhile, their returner Andre Roberts is also out. Devin Singletary, Tre’Davious White, Dawson Knox and Shaq Lawson are also among those inactive for Buffalo.

Jets vs. Dolphins inactives: Jamal Adams, Le’Veon Bell out as expected

The Jets will be without both Jamal Adams and Le’Veon Bell for the first time all season.

Jamal Adams and Le’Veon Bell will miss their first game of the 2019 season Sunday when the Jets host the Dolphins.

Adams suffered an ankle sprain last week in Cincinnati and is considered week-to-week, while Bell has an illness. For Adams, this is his first game that he’s ever missed in the NFL. Darryl Roberts will likely slide into his position at safety.

The Jets will be without a couple of other key members in their secondary. Brian Poole (concussion) and Arthur Maulet (calf) are both out for Sunday’s game. Expect Nate Hairston to take Poole’s spot in the slot and Maurice Canady should get the start on the outside for Maulet.

Chuma Edoga will sit out for the second straight game with an ankle injury. Paul Worrilow (quad) and Mathias Farley (rib/ankle) are also out as well.

As for the Dolphins, they’ll have all their starters healthy this week. They will be without seven backups with four coming on defense and three on offense.
