Newly-offered 2025 four-star WR sets Michigan football visit

Huge to get him to campus so quick. #GoBlue

Michigan football needs playmakers, especially at the skill positions.

Though the Wolverines have some solid commitments in 2025 (WR Andrew Marsh, TE Andrew Olesh, WR Jacob Washington, RB Donovan Johnson, WR Jamar Browder, and RB Jasper Parker), they’re still looking to add more. Wideout Derek Meadows (an LSU commit) visited for the Oregon game two weeks ago, and while the jury is still out on him, there is another who the Wolverines have a keen interest in.

Over the weekend, the maize and blue offered 2025 Cocoa (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, a teammate of 2026 commit Brady Hart. And now it appears that Boggs has mutual interest, having decided to visit Ann Arbor for Michigan football’s final home game of the season, against Northwestern.

Boggs is currently committed to UCF. Here is how he ranks according to the recruiting services:

The scouting report from 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins:

Thick-cut wide receiver that racks up chunks of yardage after the catch. Assembled a historic junior campaign, totaling just under 1,500 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns for Florida’s 2M champs. Displays suddenness as a route runner and will set defensive backs up with dynamic cuts and slick head fakes as he attacks leverage. Quick to locate the football and has proven to be rather sure-handed. Makes his money working the smaller numbers of the route tree as he makes it extremely difficult for would-be tacklers to get him on the ground with his advanced vision and impressive contact balance. More of a build-speed prospect at this stage, but still finds ways to make an impact and get into the end zone. Should be viewed as a potential zone-coverage beater that can handle a high-volume of targets in an offense that features West Coast concepts. Has multi-year Power Four starter upside and could work his rotation sooner rather than later as he doesn’t lack polish.

Boggs also has offers from GeorgiaFloridaNotre DameOhio StateOregon and Penn State among others.

Michigan football offers 2025 4-star WR teammate of Brady Hart

Surprised he wasn’t offered before. #GoBlue

Michigan football is working to bolster its 2025 class and one place it is still looking to add is at wide receiver.

The Wolverines have three wideouts pledged: four-stars Andrew Marsh and Jacob Washington, though both have taken recent visits elsewhere, and three-star Jamar Browder. Michigan had Phillip Wright committed, but he flipped to LSU. In turn, Michigan is working to flip LSU pledge Derek Meadows, who visited for the Oregon game two weeks ago.

But one 2025 wideout the maize and blue were looking at never had an offer — until now.

Four-star Jayvan Boggs is committed to UCF, and is teammates with Brady Hart, the 2026 Cocoa (Florida) four-star quarterback commit. On Saturday morning, Boggs reported a Michigan football offer after coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell visited for his Friday night game.

Notre Dame football misses out on former Ohio State commit, goes to SEC

Another receiver is off the Irish’s 2025 recruiting board

It seemed like Notre Dame football was in great position to ultimately land former Ohio State football wide receiver commit [autotag]Jayvan Boggs[/autotag].

The Irish offered about a month before the 2025 Florida prospect decommitted from the Buckeyes, which led many to believe that Notre Dame was at the forefront of his recruitment.

An official visit never happened, which clearly put the Irish behind in the pursuit of the nation’s No. 211 overall prospect and 24th ranked receiver according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

On July 4th, Boggs made his decision, he committed to the Missouri Tigers, taking another receiver target off the Irish’s board.

Although the Irish missed out on Boggs, they currently have Elijah Burress, and Jerome Bettis Jr. as verbal commitments in their 2025 recruiting class. They are still looking to add one, maybe two, more players at the position for the cycle.

Former Ohio State wide receiver commit Jayvan Boggs commits to SEC program

This was a bit of a surprising choice

When 2025 Florida wide receiver [autotag]Jayvan Boggs[/autotag] committed to Ohio State football in October of 2023, it looked like the Buckeyes wide receiver pipeline to The Sunshine State was going to continue.

That ultimately wasn’t the case, as the 6-foot, 1-inch and 200-pound pass catcher decided that Columbus wasn’t the place for him. Boggs decommitted from the Buckeyes at the end of March, following offers from Georgia, Notre Dame and others.

It seemed like he would ultimately land at one of those schools, but on Thursday, the nation’s No. 211 overall prospect and 24th ranked wide receiver according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings committed to Missouri.

It is interesting that the Tigers were his choice, considering other powerhouse programs were after him. Boggs did say after his decision that he wanted to create his own path.

As we do with all former Ohio State commits, we will be watching closely to see how Boggs fares in Columbia.

Former Ohio State commit puts Notre Dame in his top group

The Irish are squarely in the mix for the star receiver

As soon as [autotag]Jayvan Boggs[/autotag] decommitted from Ohio State, the connection to Notre Dame football began.

It was confirmed on Wednesday evening, as Boggs released his top 7 schools with the Irish making the cut along with Florida, Georgia, Missouri, UCF, USC and Texas. The 6-foot and 188-pound Florida native is viewed as one of the top players in the country, ranking as the No. 193 overall prospect and 23rd receiver according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Irish aren’t one of the few schools that Boggs has already set up official visits to, but if they are to receive one, he could eventually land in South Bend.

Notre Dame currently has 19 total commits in the 2025 class, with three other receivers commited in Jerome Bettis Jr., Elijah Burress and Shaun Terry.

Four-star WR recruit no longer taking official visit to Georgia

Four-star WR, former Ohio State commit cancels his official visit with Georgia after putting the Bulldogs in his top four

Four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs is no longer planning to take an official visit to the University of Georgia. Boggs previously had the Georgia Bulldogs in his top four schools.

“Down to 2… No longer taking my official visit to Georgia,” said Boggs via social media. It is unclear which schools are Bogg’s top two.

Boggs, who decomitted from Ohio State on March 26, previously had Georgia, UCF, USC and Missouri in his top schools. The elite wide receiver plays high school football for Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Florida and is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 4.

The 6-foot, 190-pound receiver is rated as the No. 22 wide receiver, the No. 27 player in Florida and the No. 190 recruit in the nation, per 247Sports. Boggs was scheduled to visit Georgia football on June 14. The talented wide receiver had lined up official visits to each of his top schools.

Boggs’ incredible junior season helped him be named as Florida’s Mr. Football in 2023. Boggs recorded outstanding numbers as junior. Last year, the four-star totaled 93 catches, 1,500 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.

Georgia currently has the nation’s No.6 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are on a roll and have recently added several notable commitments in the class of 2025.

Four-star WR Jayvan Boggs names top schools, sets commitment date

Four-star wide receiver recruit, a former Ohio State commit, Jayvan Boggs has set his commitment date and named his top schools

Four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs has named his top four schools. Boggs, who decomitted from Ohio State on March 26, considers Georgia, UCF, USC and Missouri to be his top schools. The elite wide receiver plans to announce his commitment on July 4.

The 6-foot, 190-pound receiver plays high school football for Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Florida. Boggs is rated as the No. 22 wide receiver, the No. 27 player in Florida and the No. 190 recruit in the nation, per 247Sports.

Georgia wide receivers coach James Coley has extensive recruiting ties to Florida. Boggs is scheduled to visit Georgia football on June 14. The talented wide receiver plans to take official visits to each of his top schools over the next few weeks.

Boggs’ outstanding junior season helped him be named as Florida’s Mr. Football in 2023. Boggs recorded massive numbers as junior. Last season, the four-star totaled 93 catches, 1,500 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.

The Cocoa standout announced his commitment date via social media.

Georgia currently has the nation’s No. 12 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs already have a commitment from a wide receiver in Thomas Blackshear.

Florida wide receiver 2025 target doesn’t have Notre Dame in his top group

The Irish are on the outside looking in for the receiver at the moment

When Florida 2025 wide receiver [autotag]Jayvan Boggs[/autotag] decommitted from Ohio State, many expected Notre Dame to be one of his main recruiters going forward.

While that happened, what also transpired has been extremely interesting. Boggs, who stands 6-feet and weighs 188 pounds told the USA TODAY State of Florida Recruiting H.Q. podcast that four schools are at the top of his list: UCF, Texas, Missouri and Georgia.

The omission of the Irish is very interesting, considering Boggs made a spring visit and all seemed to go very well for both parties. He has set up official visits for each of the schools in the top group, but there is still time for Notre Dame to make up the ground.

For the Irish to really be considered a contender for the nation’s No. 191 overall prospect and 23rd wide receiver on the 247Sports composite, they need to set up an official visit.

There is still time, but if Boggs makes his decision following his current lined up officials, the Irish are most likely going to have to look elsewhere for another receiver.

USC offers four-star receiver and recent Ohio State decommit Jayvan Boggs

Can USC capitalize on an Ohio State loss in recruiting?

Four-star Florida-based wide receiver Jayvan Boggs decommitted from Ohio State last week. Now the Class of 2025 prospect has picked up an offer from the USC Trojans’ staff.

Jayvan Boggs is a 6-foot, 188-pound receiver out of Cocoa, Florida. He is rated as the No. 24 wide receiver, the No. 27 player in the state, and the No. 189 recruit overall in his class, per the 247Sports composite. The Cocoa High School star currently holds over 20 offers including offers from Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina and Florida.

Boggs’ junior season earned him Mr. Football honors in the state of Florida in 2023. His 93 catches, 1,500 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns are single-season school records.

The USC 2025 recruiting class has grown in quality, depth, and defensive prowess in recent weeks. Most of the recruiting wins in the past two weeks have been on the defensive side of the ball. USC needs some wins on offense. The Trojans have gained a few of their 2025 players from Florida. Here’s another foray into the Sunshine State for the Men of Troy. They need a more complete 2025 class, and part of that means getting more skill-position help.

Georgia hosts 4-star WR, recent Ohio State decommit Jayvan Boggs

Recent Ohio State decommit Jayvan Boggs visits Georgia…

Georgia football is making a serious push for four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, who decomitted from Ohio State on March 26. Boggs visited Georgia on Friday.

The Bulldogs made their first effort by extending a scholarship to Boggs shortly after adding new wide receivers coach James Coley, who has strong recruiting ties to the state of Florida.

Boggs (6-foot, 188 pounds), out of Cocoa, Florida., is rated as the No. 24 wide receiver, the No. 27 player in the state and the No. 189 recruit overall in his class, per 247Sports composite. The Cocoa High School star currently holds over 20 offers.

Boggs’ junior season earned him Mr. Football honors in the state of Florida in 2023. His 93 catches, 1,500 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns are single-season school records.

Boggs had been committed to the Buckeyes since October. Georgia’s recent offer seemingly made a real difference in his recruitment.
