Three Iowa State Cyclones to know for Saturday’s matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners

Okahoma hosts Iowa State on Saturday and comes in with a talented cast of players. Here are three Cyclones to know.

Oklahoma returns home after starting their Big 12 campaign on the road against a tough Cincinnati team in a game they won 20-6. They’ll be under the lights for a primetime kick against the Iowa State Cyclones (2-2, 1-1 Big 12).

This isn’t the same Iowa State team that Oklahoma had some very close contests with a few years ago. However, Matt Campbell is an excellent coach and will have his guys ready to play hard.

Oklahoma is in a prime spot to look ahead to their monumental matchup with Texas next weekend. But for that game to mean nearly as much as it can, Oklahoma, like Texas, needs to take care of business this weekend.

Players have reiterated that they look at themselves as 0-0 every week, which must be displayed on Saturday night.

Who are some of the Iowa State names Oklahoma will need to be on the lookout for? We took the liberty of listing the three players to know below.

Wisconsin Makes Wide Receiver Jaylin Noel’s Top Six

Wisconsin makes Jaylin Noel’s top six in football recruiting.

With the 2020 recruiting cycle officially completed Wisconsin’s coaching staff can now turn their full attention in completing the 2021 class.

On Friday the Badgers coaching staff learned where they stand with 2021 wide receiver Jaylin Noel from Park Hill High School in Missouri. The consensus three star prospect released his top six schools as Wisconsin is listed along with Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

Noel has a total of nine offers as the schools he’s listed in his top six he has visited at least once. Noel went on an unofficial visit to Wisconsin in November to see the Badgers beat Iowa.

Noel is listed at 5’11” as he’s rated as the 11th best player in the state of Missouri according to both Rivals and 247 Sports. Noel finished his junior season with 42 catches for 769 yards and nine touchdowns. He also registered 45 rushing attempts for 251 yards and three touchdowns.

Wisconsin signed three wide receivers during the 2020 recruiting cycle and currently has eight commitments in the 2021 class.

2021 WR Jaylin Noel Earns Offer from Wisconsin

Wisconsin extends a scholarship in the 2021 class in wide receiver Jaylin Noel.

Wisconsin’s 2020 recruiting class won’t be able to officially sign their letter of intent until the early signing period starting December 18. Wisconsin’s coaching staff still has to fill out the remainder of the 2020 class but that hasn’t prevented them from evaluating and offering prospects from the 2021 class.

On Sunday Wisconsin extended another scholarship offer in the 2021 class to wide receiver Jaylin Noel as Noel was on an unofficial visit to Wisconsin this past weekend to see Wisconsin beat Iowa.

It was Noel’s sixth scholarship offer and third from the Big Ten. Noel from Park High School in Kansas City, Mo. also holds scholarships from Iowa, Minnesota, Iowa State, Kansas State, and South Dakota State.

The wide receiver position could be one of the more heavily populated positions in the 2021 class considering Wisconsin over the next two years is set to lose four scholarship players at the position. Wisconsin currently has two wide receivers committed in the 2020 class as the Badgers in the 2021 class will likely exceed that number to replenish the talent at the position.

Noel is currently unranked by Rivals but he is rated as a three star prospect by 247 Sports. Wisconsin currently has five commitments in the 2021 recruiting class.
