In 42 days, Kalen DeBoer will usher in a new era of Alabama Crimson Tide football, replacing the legendary [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] as head coach in Tuscaloosa.
Coach DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Aug. 31 to kick off the 2024 college football season inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
At Roll Tide Wire, we will count down the days until Alabama football takes the field.
Redshirt freshman linebacker [autotag]Yhonzae Pierre[/autotag] currently wears No. 42 for the Crimson Tide but we will now look at the last player to wear No. 42 for Alabama, [autotag]Jaylen Moody[/autotag].
Moody played for the Crimson Tide from 2018-22 and totaled 95 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception in 32 total games.
Moody went undrafted in the 2023 NFL draft but was quickly picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent.
