Alabama offensive guard Javion Cohen announced his intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal on Sunday. He started in 10 games for the Tide this season.
Leading up to Sunday, the Tide had already seen seven of its players enter the transfer portal. Junior offensive lineman Javion Cohen announced that he was entering the transfer portal via his Twitter account. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
The news is somewhat of a surprise as he made 10 starts this season. Not to mention, Cohen started in 14 of Alabama’s 15 games in 2021. His role along the offensive front lessened as freshman Tyler Booker saw some early playing time.
Cohen is an intriguing addition to the players that have entered the transfer portal from Alabama. He has the most starting experience and has held up fairly well against elite defensive fronts in the SEC. According to Alabama’s official website, he played 1,627 snaps in the past two seasons.
Along with Cohen, several others have entered their names into the transfer portal. Check out the transfer portal tracker to see the list of entrants from Alabama.
