LSU makes top 10 for 4-star 2025 wide receiver

There are no Crystal Ball projections at this time for Jacorey Watson, but Texas is a 49% favorite to land him per On3.

One of the top wide receivers for the class of 2025 has narrowed his list of final schools down to 10, and [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the LSU Tigers have made the list.

LSU joins Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas, TCU, Duke, Kansas, Houston, Missouri and Michigan on the final list of 10 for Jacorey Watson. Watson is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound wide receiver from Pearland, Texas, where he plays for Shadow Creek High School. Watson is ranked as a four-star wide receiver by every recruiting service.

LSU currently has seven commits for the 2025 recruiting class. The class is highlighted by five-star wide receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] from Duncanville, Texas. There are no crystal ball projections at this time for Watson but Texas is a 49% favorite to land him per On3. LSU is not far behind the Longhorns as they are a 43% favorite to land him.

Watson still has another year before he puts pen to paper and signs with a school. A lot can change between now and then.

LSU making a summer push for 4-star 2025 Texas receiver

The Tigers are making a big effort for one of the best players in the 2025 class in Jacorey Watson.

LSU is trying to close out strong as we enter the final months of the 2024 cycle, but the Tigers are already pressing for prospects in next year’s class.

One of those is four-star 2025 Pearland (Tex.) Shadow Creek receiver [autotag]Jacorey Watson[/autotag]. Entering his junior season, Watson already ranks as a top-100 prospect according to 247Sports and On3, with the latter ranking him No. 87 overall in its industry rankings.

He already has a lot of suitors, naturally, but LSU has been one of the programs pushing the hardest. Watson has a good relationship with receivers coach [autotag]Cortez Hankton[/autotag] and recruiting specialist [autotag]Sherman Wilson[/autotag], and he had positive impressions from several visits already, including a trip to Tiger Stadium for the upset win over Alabama last fall.

Texas and LSU are the heavy favorites here, according to On3. The Longhorns have a slight edge, but the Tigers sit just behind at 43.5% on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

LSU currently has just two prospects committed in 2025, both of which are three-stars.
