Former Michigan State football kicker Jack Stone transferring to Baylor

Former Michigan State kicker Jack Stone is transferring to Baylor

Michigan State football’s 2022 season will be remembered for many things, but oddly enough, it might be most remembered as the season where the program did not have much trust in their kickers, opting to only kick 12 field goals on the year.

One of those kickers, Jack Stone, opted to transfer back in November,  and now he has found a new home. Stone announced on Thursday that he will be transferring to Baylor.

Stone went 2-for-4 on his kicks in 2022, and 15-for-16 on his extra points, scoring 21 total points on the year for MSU. In the final game of the regular season, he did showoff some of his talent, hitting a 51-yard field goal against Penn State.

The commitment train just keeps on rolling in East Lansing. The Spartans have just landed their third commit since Saturday. Kicker Jack Stone has joined Michael Masunas and Jaron Glover in pledging their commitment to MSU.

Stone is a native of Dallas, Texas, and plays at Highland Park High School. Stone is ranked as a 5-star and the No. 11 kicker in the nation according to the CSK kicking rankings.

Stone visited East Lansing earlier this month and kicked for the coaches so the Spartans staff could evaluate his talents. That led to the MSU coaching staff offering the Dallas kicker.

Stone had visited Cal and LSU along with Michigan State this month.
