Eagles worked out six players ahead of Week 3 matchup vs. Buccaneers

The Philadelphia #Eagles hosted six players for workouts ahead of Week 3 matchup vs. Buccaneers

The Eagles are always looking to add talent to the roster and the team worked out six players ahead of Monday night’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Philadelphia hosted veteran cornerback William Jackson III along with tight end E.J. Jenkins, running back John Kelly, running back Bryant Koback, linebacker Isaiah Moore and linebacker Elerson Smith.

Chiefs UDFA Spotlight: NC State LB Isaiah Moore

Our #Chiefs UDFA Spotlight Series continues with a linebacker who thrives when attacking downhill.

A tight end and linebacker at Lloyd C. Bird High School in Chesterfield, Virginia, Moore was one of the top-ranked linebacker prospects coming out of the state of Virginia in 2017. He was a team captain as a senior, posting a dominant 106 total tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, three interceptions and five blocked kicks.

The performance earned him offers from half a dozen schools including Old Dominion, Army, Navy, UTSA and Coastal Carolina. He ultimately chose to commit to NC State and head to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Former NC State LB would love to reunite with Jakobi Meyers

One of Jakobi Meyers’ former college teammates is hoping to reconnect in the NFL, perhaps in New England.

North Carolina State linebacker Isaiah Moore is a big fan of New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. Both Moore and Meyers played together when the linebacker was a freshman for the Wolfpack in 2018.

Moore is getting ready for the NFL Combine himself, after a successful career with the Wolfpack. He recorded 82 tackles and three sacks in his senior season last year. His best numbers came in 2020, when he recorded 94 tackles and three sacks, in addition to a pass deflection and fumble recovery.

He was asked about which players he would like to play with on the New England roster. The Patriots coaches worked with him at the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl, creating another New England connection for the linebacker. Meyers’ name popped up, and Moore expanded on what Meyers meant to him, as transcribed by NESN.com’s Dakota Randall.

“Kobi’s different, man,” Moore said. “Jakobi, his story’s crazy. He came in as a quarterback, transitioned to wide receiver and he just took off. I remember he made some crazy catches on me in practice. Made some crazy catches against North Carolina in the regular season that year. All-around great guy, man.”

“Great gamer guy. Really good at ‘NBA 2K.’ I’ll say that. He’s a great guy, man. I’d love linking up with him.”

It’s safe to say Meyers has made a strong impression throughout his football career.

2023 NFL draft: 10 potential Chargers targets to watch at East-West Shrine Bowl

The Chargers have used the East-West Shrine Bowl to find some of their players in recent years.

The annual East-West Shrine practices begin on Saturday ahead of the all-star game on Thursday, February 2nd, at 5:30 PM PT on NFL Network.

This showcase will feature several prospects the Chargers should have on their radar in the 2023 NFL draft.

In 2022, Tom Telesco selected two players that played in the game – Ja’Sir Taylor and Zander Horvath. Additional alumni include Trey Pipkins, Easton Stick, Cortez Broughton, and Justin Jackson.

With that, here are ten players the Bolts could be targeting:

During the ACC Network’s all-access program featuring NC State, Wolfpack linebacker Isaiah Moore was shown on camera saying, “Clemson still thinks they got the best defense in the country.”

Last season, Clemson ranked No. 2 nationally behind only Georgia in scoring defense (14.8 points per game allowed) and eighth nationally in total defense (305.5 yards per game allowed), while ranking tied for ninth in total sacks (42.0).

NC State’s defense, meanwhile, ranked tied for 14th nationally in scoring defense (19.7 points per game allowed) and 19th nationally in total defense (330.8 yards per game allowed).

Moore, who made the aforementioned comment, is a graduate student going into his sixth year at NC State in 2022. In 2021, he was an honorable mention All-ACC performer who suffered a season-ending knee injury at Miami. At the time, the Chester, Va., native was the team leader in tackles for loss and ranked second in total tackles.

NC State will travel to play Clemson at Death Valley on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Come out to support Clemson softball at Dear Old Clemson’s second event which is set for August 27 at the Madren Conference Center.  Clemson returns one of the top teams in the nation and adds some new talent to the mix.   If you sign up for certain club levels you get free access to all Dear Old Clemson events or purchase your tickets today at Dear Old Clemson.

Lions 7-round mock draft for the bye week

It’s time for the first full Detroit Lions 2022 NFL mock draft!

The Lions are off on Sunday, giving us a little break from the excitement of the game and the unfortunate losing streak that dates back almost a full calendar year. That can only mean one thing…

It’s time for the first full Detroit Lions 2022 NFL mock draft!

Here’s the first projection for each Lions pick in the next draft. The draft order is the current order as of November 6th.

The first few picks are taken from the 2-round mock draft I composed for RealGM this week. Use that as a reference for what players were available for each of the Lions picks, too.
