A couple more Notre Dame offers went out today, find out who was offered

The Irish staff has been busy

Once again I feel like a broken record, [autotag]Notre Dame Football[/autotag] offered another prospect. Actually they offered two others aside from Texas linebacker Justin Williams who we reported about earlier today.

There is so much positive energy surrounding the program and recruiting, it’s starting to get infectious.Head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] has everything moving in the right direction and it’s showing with recruits.

A lot of the offers going out right now aren’t just ones where the Irish don’t have a chance with the recruit, they have legit interest between both parties. Find out below which two other players were offered scholarships to play their football in South Bend.

Notre Dame Football offers 2024 Florida “jumbo” athlete

The Irish offer an intriguing big man

[autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] is really putting in a lot of work on the recruiting trail for [autotag]Notre Dame Football[/autotag]. The junior day they hosted over the weekend was a huge success.

Freeman and his staff aren’t taking an break after having one good weekend. An offer out to Hawaiian linebacker Josiah “Ko’o” Kia last night and now an offer to Florida athlete [autotag]Lawal “LJ” McCray[/autotag].

At six-foot-six-inches and 250-pounds, McCray could end up as either a defensive end or a tight end. Wherever he ends up his recruitment is starting to get much more interesting with offers from [autotag]Auburn[/autotag] and [autotag]Michigan[/autotag] in the last month.

Notre Dame Football keeps offers going, more out today to big time prospects

Some new, some old, all Irish offers

At this point, it is getting really hard to keep track of who [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] Football is offering. Over this past week there have been multiple offers out to high school stars and they keep coming.

Head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and his staff are putting in the hard work. It has yet to pay off but they are setting themselves up for future success.

I’ve been doing my best to find these offers and let you know about them, but some have been lost in the action. Here are the most recent offers that have gone out today and any of the ones that we may have missed over the past days.

Notre Dame keeps the offers flowing, Texas linebacker is next up

Another Irish offer goes out

No days off, that must be the motto in the [autotag]Notre Dame Football[/autotag] offices right now regarding recruiting. The Irish have found a rhythm with high schools prospects and aren’t letting off the gas right now.

Multiple offers have been going out to different prospects and today was no different as Texas linebacker [autotag]Justin Williams[/autotag] was the most recent offer. He possess great size at six-foot-two-inches and 205-pounds and his offer list is very impressive. [autotag]Auburn[/autotag], [autotag]Oregon[/autotag], [autotag]USC[/autotag], [autotag]Texas[/autotag], [autotag]Florida[/autotag] and others got to Williams before Notre Dame did today.

Williams was fantastic during his junior year, 8.5 sacks along with 105 tackles on the year. It obvious why the Irish are very interested in him.

Notre Dame offers 2025 Hawaiian linebacker

As just a sophomore!?!

The [autotag]Notre Dame Football[/autotag] program has a reach that many schools don’t possess. There is solid history in almost every state and that includes Hawaii.

The list is long for the Irish recruiting in [autotag]The Aloha State[/autotag], including former star linebacker [autotag]Manti Te’o[/autotag]. Currently on the roster from the state is defensive end [autotag]Jordan Botelho[/autotag] and linebackers [autotag]Marist Liufau[/autotag] and [autotag]Kahanu Kia[/autotag].

There very well could be another Hawaiian linebacker on their way to South Bend, [autotag]Josiah “Ko’o” Kia[/autotag]. The six-foot-two-inch and 190-pounder just finished his sophomore year, but it was all that the Irish staff needed to see. Kia tagged linebackers coach [autotag]James Laurinaitis[/autotag] and special teams coordinator [autotag]Brian Mason[/autotag] when announcing the offer.

Notre Dame stays active on recruiting trail, offers instate 2024 offensive tackle

No rest for the Irish staff

The [autotag]Notre Dame Football[/autotag] staff is not taking the holiday weekend off. In fact they are going hard. We already noted that they have been super active on Friday, visiting multiple schools in Illinois and Indiana.

It was not different today, as Hamilton Southeastern 2024 offensive lineman [autotag]Styles Prescod[/autotag] was offered a scholarship this afternoon. The six-foot-six-inch and 265-pound tackle has seen his recruiting pick up over the last few months.

Pittsburgh, Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky offered Prescod during that time before the Irish pulled the trigger. He lists himself as a 3-star prospect on his twitter, but when Notre Dame offers any offensive line prospect, it means they can play at the Power-5 level.

Notre Dame offers 2024 Florida defensive lineman from powerhouse program

The Irish enter the mix for a rising star

The Irish continue to search for game-changing defensive lineman and more than a few are seriously considering playing their college football in South Bend.

One that is new to [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] is Florida’s [autotag]Deyvid Palapale[/autotag], who preps at powerhouse [autotag]IMG Academy[/autotag]. The 2023 lineman recently was offered by the Irish as they joined other teams like [autotag]Penn State[/autotag], [autotag]Kentucky[/autotag], [autotag]USC[/autotag] and [autotag]Wisconsin[/autotag] vying for the talents of the six-foot-three-inch and 303-pound player.

Football runs in the family as his cousin is [autotag]Penei Sewell[/autotag], former [autotag]Oregon[/autotag] star and current [autotag]Detroit Lion[/autotag]. Originally from Alaska, Palapale moved to Pennsylvania a few years ago before recently transferring to IMG.

It seems like Palepale is open to playing anywhere in the country, although early reports have him favoring USC. The Irish might face an uphill battle with one of their biggest rivals for his commitment.

Georgia 2024 athlete gets an offer from Notre Dame

The Irish offer an impressive Georgia athlete

The Irish are off to a fantastic start to their 2024 recruiting class, already with seven commits in tow, they are looking to add more big-time playmakers to the group.

An offer went out today to Georgia athlete [autotag]Mello Jones[/autotag], whose list grew to 16 schools. Already holding verbal offers from [autotag]Alabama[/autotag], [autotag]Tennessee[/autotag], [autotag]Georgia[/autotag], [autotag]Florida State[/autotag] and others, the Irish have let the six-foot-one-inch and 176-pound player that he is wanted in South Bend.

Jones could play wide receiver or defensive back at the next level as it seems like it might be best for him to get onto campus before the coaches decide where he should line up.

Rivals: Notre Dame Football recruiting “as expected” in 2021

The Irish’s 2021 class has been labeled “as expected” but what does that actually mean?

While it might be a one-off year that Notre Dame is associated with ACC football, they have been included when examining the recruiting classes with the conference. Rivals took a look at the ACC recruiting as a whole and gave out some superlatives to the group.

The Irish scored big when instate offensive tackle Blake Fisher decided to stay home and play for Blue and Gold. Rivals saw this as a huge win for Brian Kelly, as they named it the second biggest recruiting get in the conference. “This (Fisher’s commitment) continues the excellent recruiting tradition along the OL for the Irish,” is what recruiting director Mike Farrell said.

It’s not just instate where the Irish have had recruiting success, they went into Ohio and got a commit from Lorenzo Styles Jr. Farrell see this as the second biggest out-of-state recruiting win in the conference. “Styles doesn’t play far from Indiana as an Ohio native, but his skill set was coveted by everyone,” noted Farrell. Indeed it is, and just yesterday we looked at the potential for Styles to end up on the other side of the ball.

Kelly also found himself being highlighted “As Expected” by Farrell. We all know the lead man “wanted to bring top-five classes to South Bend, but with academic restrictions that’s not going to happen very often. Notre Dame is No. 10 and that’s around where you’d expect them to be.”

It’s safe to say this group will be making their mark for Notre Dame soon, with elite talent at numerous positions. The Irish aren’t done yet either, as they still have multiple 2021 targets who are highly considering committing to the program. The 2022 class, although just 3 members, is already a Top 5 class. Recruiting is the lifeblood of every program and the blood is flowing in South Bend.

Scouts Eye: Notre Dame’s newest commit, WR Jayden Thomas

The Irish added a 3rd wide receiver prospect in their 2021 recruiting class. Find out what to expect out the newest Notre Dame commit.

The Irish have added a pair of Georgia  wide receivers to their 2021 recruiting class just this week. On Monday, it was Deion Colzie, deciding that Notre Dame really was the place he wanted to be after decommitting in March. Today it was Jayden Thomas pulling the trigger for the Irish. Here’s what to expect from the newest Irish commit Thomas.

Check out Thomas’ junior highlight reel here.

A game-breaker who can make plays multiple ways. Thomas is able to take direct snaps sometimes completing a pass, splitting out wide or in the slot, change the field with a punt return or even return kickoffs. He runs good, crisp routes and uses his body well to shield off defenders. Thomas does a good job using his hands to catch the ball, rarely using his body to catch. He’s a willing blocker who will get better at it as he gets stronger. Thomas plays both ways, showing that he can flip his hips well enough to adjust to balls that aren’t the most accurate throws. I love that he’s a two-sport athlete as well. Thomas could be an addition to Link Jarrett’s baseball team as well.

The Irish are getting a fantastic prospect as Rivals rates him as the 195th overall player and 36th wide receiver. At 247Sports, they have Thomas as the  260th player and 45th wide receiver nationally. ESPN has him ranked as the 218th overall player.

With Thomas’ commitment, the Notre Dame class now stands at 19 players, good for 9th best overall class in the country according to the 247Sports composite (although it has yet to be updated, I used their class calculator to add Thomas). It’s a great collection of prospects that Kelly and company have assembled.
