Reggie Miller couldn’t believe how clueless Kenny Smith was about Tyrese Haliburton’s 3-point shooting

Does Kenny even watch basketball?

Kenny Smith has spent the past 26 years working with Turner Sports and TNT’s NBA coverage in some capacity. And as a co-analyst on TNT’s Inside the NBA, fans expect Smith to have expert familiarity with today’s NBA. After all, that’s what he gets paid to talk about on TV.

Saturday, though, was not Smith’s best effort. He told on himself all night and even had Reggie Miller utterly perplexed with some of the remarks he made.

Smith drew harsh criticism for his comments about Sabrina Ionescu using the NBA three-point line in her showdown with Steph Curry. But during the regular three-point contest, Smith was admittedly surprised that the Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton could shoot threes at such a high frequency.

It was such an odd remark for an NBA analyst to make on national TV that Miller responded with, “Do you watch the games?”

Miller had a point. It’s not like Haliburton suddenly started shooting a high percentage this year. He’s a career 40-percent three-point shooter, and he’s been taking six threes per game throughout his entire career (and nearly eight this season). He shoots threes a lot and shoots them well. Smith should have known that one of the game’s best three-point shooters could, well, shoot.

Fans were also not impressed with Smith’s performance on the night, and they were glad that Miller called him out.

Fans absolutely loved Taylor Swift’s response to Travis Kelce about jet lag after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win

That answer was too cool.

From the moment the Kansas City Chiefs made the Super Bowl, it was apparent that Taylor Swift was facing quite the journey to make the game in Las Vegas from Tokyo.

While a 17-hour time difference and 12-hour flight would be absolute mayhem on most people in terms of jet lag, Swift showed up to Allegiant Stadium with all of the energy to both cheer on the Chiefs and celebrate the Super Bowl win well into the early morning hours.

When it came time for Travis Kelce to greet Swift postgame, even the Chiefs tight end was impressed that the 14-time Grammy winner wasn’t dealing with jet lag. To that, Swift had just about the coolest response.

“Jet leg is a choice,” she said.

Of course, it’s almost certainly more comfortable to make that journey in a private jet than a middle seat in economy. But still, that’s a massive time difference to make with less than a day to adjust. No wonder Kelce was impressed.

Fans also loved Swift’s answer in the moment.

Mic’d-up video showed what a grateful Travis Kelce told Taylor Swift during their post-Super Bowl embrace

He’s so thankful. A perfect moment.

When the Kansas City Chiefs completed their stunning run of back-to-back Super Bowl titles, all eyes turned to the field when Travis Kelce and 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift shared their postgame greeting.

Thanks to NFL Films, we now know what the power couple said to each other as confetti fell at Allegiant Stadium.

Kelce — who finished the game with nine receptions for 93 yards — immediately thanked Swift for making the long journey from Tokyo to be at the game. He continually thanked her for the support. Here’s the video:

The exchange went like this:

Kelce: Thank you for coming, baby.

Swift: Oh, I cannot believe that.

Kelce: Thank you!

Swift: I can’t believe you. I can’t believe you.

Kelce: Thank you for the support, thank you for coming.

Swift: How did you do that?!

Kelce: Thank you for making it halfway across the world. You’re the best, baby.

Swift: Oh my God.

Kelce: The absolute best. Was it electric?

Swift: It was unbelievable!

Fans absolutely loved to hear that emotional moment. The happiness was undeniable.

MLB players and fans are already hating the terrible Fanatics-produced Nike jerseys for the 2024 season

Who could have seen this coming?! (Everyone)

When MLB and Nike agreed to a 10-year deal with Nike for on-field uniforms back in 2020, it was supposed to be seen as a positive step for the game. Gone were the days of Majestic making uniforms, and instead, the game was going to benefit from Nike’s immense resources for the on-field product.

Yeah, about that …

With new styling and materials for this season, Fanatics — the sports apparel giant — will be continuing the production of both the on-field and retail MLB uniforms. Nike licensed production to Fanatics back in 2020, meaning the uniforms have the Nike Swoosh but with Fanatics quality. Yet, the production/design-level changes in that arrangement are noticeable for this season.

As pitchers and catchers reported to spring camp, the initial reactions have not been positive.

Players think the new materials look and feel cheap and have less customization for fit and comfort. The difference in the name and numbers are also apparent. The name on the back appears to be a considerably smaller font size with a more pronounced arc around the number.

It’s unclear why Nike would want to entrust Fanatics — a company notorious for producing poor-quality merchandise — with the actual on-field uniforms. That agreement for retail jerseys would make sense albeit bad for fans. But players are only going to complain about it more as they continue to report into spring training camp.

Already, though, we’re seeing plenty of negative reaction to this uniform deal.

Mics picked up the awesome message that Travis Kelce had for Chris Jones after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win

What being a great teammate sounds like.

Heading into the season, the contract situation for Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones was a major concern. He sat out all of training camp and the first game of the regular season before striking a one-year deal with the Chiefs.

His possible final game with Kansas City was in a Super Bowl-winning effort against the 49ers, and Travis Kelce made sure to let Jones know just how highly he thinks of him.

In mic’d-up footage from NFL Films’ Inside the NFL, we could hear as Kelce and Jones shared a celebratory moment on the field at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Kelce could be heard saying:

“Way to believe, dawg. Way to lead us. You’re the greatest to ever do it in my eyes.”

Jones responded by telling Kelce that he loved him. It was a great moment that fans particularly enjoyed to hear.

Fans had so many jokes as Jason Kelce nearly face-planted during Travis Kelce’s sweet moment with Taylor Swift

Jason was HANGING ON for dear life.

The footage from Sunday’s Super Bowl 58 and the ensuing Kansas City Chiefs celebratory afterparty produced enough content to sustain Swifties and Chiefs fans for an entire offseason. But somehow, Jason Kelce managed to be the true star of every video.

It’s absolutely incredible, and we’re here for it.

During the Chiefs’ afterparty at XS Nightclub, Jason donned a Luchador mask and hyped up the crowd on stage alongside megastar DJs like Marshmello and The Chainsmokers. Jason was living his life exactly how one should when their brother wins the Super Bowl, and he had zero quit in him. He also learned rather quickly what Vegas can do to a 36-year-old.

As Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift appeared ready to call it a night, the Chiefs tight end put his jacket around Swift. It was an adorable moment captured on video, but again, stay for Jason.

Jason stumbled into the frame and nearly face-planted into those Wynn bushes off to the side. He wouldn’t have been the first person to take a tumble into that shrubbery, but thankfully Jason was able to power through and stay on his feet. He’s an athlete, after all.

Fans, though, could not get enough of the footage. Jason Kelce certainly won the night.

Jason Kelce hilariously made the most cinematic appearance as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift danced to Love Story

Jason Kelce is the real Super Bowl MVP.

Jason Kelce and the rest of the Kelce family enjoyed Sunday’s Super Bowl 58 in a celebrity-packed luxury suite at Allegiant Stadium. And when it came time to take the celebratory festivities to a nearby nightclub, Jason was absolutely the life of the party.

We’ve already seen videos of Jason donning a Luchador mask and moonlighting as a guest DJ on stage at XS Nightclub. AND we’ve also seen the adorable videos of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift dancing to “Love Story.”

But there’s something truly cinematic when those two scenes share a single sequence. This is the juxtaposition we all needed.

First, we get Travis and Taylor dancing and kissing to Taylor’s own song — which was incredible. Then, the camera pans to a masked Jason hyping up the crowd alongside Marshmello.

That’s a thing that actually happened, and we couldn’t have made it up if we tried. A Las Vegas Super Bowl was truly something else.

Fans also particularly loved that new footage from the Chiefs’ afterparty. Jason was enjoying all of it.

The 49ers’ radio announcers were absolutely devastated in their call of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning play

Wait for the “DANG IT!”

In their past two trips to the Super Bowl, the San Francisco 49ers held double-digit leads against the Kansas City Chiefs. Both times, they had to watch as Patrick Mahomes celebrated a Super Bowl title.

And for the Niners’ radio broadcast, you can truly hear that pain in the voice of play-by-play announcer Greg Papa.

After the Chiefs pulled off their overtime win in Super Bowl 58 on a Mecole Hardman touchdown, the Niners’ broadcast went from nervous energy to disappointment to complete silence in a quick sequence. They were devastated, and that was clear when commentator Tim Ryan came in with a loud, “Dang it!”

Here was the call:

Compare that to the Chiefs’ radio call, it couldn’t have been more different.

Fans had plenty of thoughts on that final call. It’ll be a tough one for Niners fans to get over.

Brittany Mahomes convinced Post Malone to wear a Chiefs jacket during the afterparty and fans loved it

Post Malone was such a good sport.

Fresh off their second straight Super Bowl title, the Chiefs didn’t have to go far to find the party scene in Las Vegas. The team left Allegiant Stadium and arrived up the Strip at Zouk Nightclub for an afterparty that included performances from The Chainsmokers and Post Malone.

Post Malone was even willing to abandon his Cowboys fandom for one song.

Video from the afterparty showed Brittany Mahomes coming down to the stage to convince Post Malone to trade in his Cowboys jacket for a Chiefs one. It took some convincing — he really wanted to rep his team — but we can see Post agreeing to it for one song.

After all, it was the Chiefs’ party. He had to look the part.

Fans on Twitter/X and the fans at Zouk all loved the effort from Mahomes and Post’s willingness to don the jacket. She might have gotten Post Malone on the Chiefs bandwagon.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift melted fans’ hearts by celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win with postgame kiss

Truly, what a moment.

This season wasn’t always easy for Travis Kelce, but it certainly was memorable. And on Sunday, it couldn’t have ended any better for the future Hall of Fame tight end.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58’s thrilling overtime matchup, 25-22. And for Kelce, he was able to share the moment with girlfriend Taylor Swift who had completed a long journey from Japan to be in Las Vegas for the game.

When it came time for the Lombardi Trophy celebration on the field, the 14-time Grammy winner was waiting to congratulate Kelce. The two eventually shared a sweet moment and celebratory kiss on the field.

What started with a friendship bracelet ended with a kiss on the field at Allegiant Stadium amid Super Bowl confetti. Truly, what a year it has been for Kelce.

Fans loved to see the happiness that Kelce and Swift both displayed after the championship performance.
