Bills locker room reacts to James Cook’s career day vs. Cowboys: ‘Cook really becomes Chef’

#Bills locker room reacts to James Cook’s career day vs. Cowboys: ‘Cook really becomes Chef’

James Cook, take a bow. The Buffalo Bills wrecked the Dallas Cowboys and it was nearly all because of the running back’s efforts.

Cook had 221 yards from scrimmage in the 31-10 win. As a team, the Bills (8-6) put up 351 total on offense against the against Cowboys (10-4). That caught a lot of attention from onlookers and teammates alike.

Cook’s efforts made some, such as quarterback Josh Allen, feel inadequate.

“I felt like the kid that didn’t do anything in the class project and got an A,” Allen said.

Others were just downright impressed.

“I feel like I was just watching the same play. 10-yard gain. 10-yard gain. 10-yard gain,” defensive tackle Ed Oliver said.

A roundup of Bills reactions to Cook’s career day can be found below:

Big dubs:

A “big dub” was on the mind of many Bills players on Sunday afternoon after beating the Cowboys.

Following the Bills’ 30-10 win, players wore their emotions on their sleeve… and at the top of their lungs. Buffalo’s team expressed their thoughts after the victory by screaming the “big dubs” phrase at the team cameras while they walked off the field and while walking into the locker room at Highmark Stadium.

And as usual, the screen grabs for the videos were pretty solid too.

Check out both in the clips below:

Stock up, stock down following the Bills’ win over the Cowboys

Here is Bills Wire’s stock report following Sunday’s 31-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys:

The Buffalo Bills (8-6) are at a part of their season where they need to win if they want a good chance at the playoffs. Coming into Sunday, the Bills had their toughest test of the rest of this year as they faced the red-hot Dallas Cowboys (10-4).

Buffalo ended up beating Dallas, 31-10, where passing was hard for both teams due to the rainy and windy conditions surrounding Highmark Stadium. With that in mind, the Bills resorted to running the football as an easier way to deal with the weather along with the fact that the Cowboys had a lot of trouble stopping their ground game.

Following the game that was, here is Bills Wire’s stock report following the lopsided win over the Cowboys:

PFF: 5 highest-graded Bills players on defense in Week 14

Good games on defense for the #Bills:

The Buffalo Bills narrowly won a thrilling 20-17 final in their Week 14 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bills (7-6) had a few players that stood out above the rest in this one. On defense, the Bills were led by their defensive front, including AJ Epenesa, who forced a turnover.

In terms of the players who helped Epenesa close out the win, Buffalo will hope such efforts remain throughout the rest of the 2023 season as the aim to secure a postseason spot.

According to Pro Football Focus, they’ll need these players to continue to play at a high level.

#Bills at #Chiefs: Key matchups to watch in Week 14:

The Buffalo Bills will visit the Kansas City Chiefs in their upcoming Week 14 matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.

The two teams have been rigorously preparing for the contest throughout the past week. Buffalo (6-6) and Kansas City (8-4) will think they know their upcoming opponent, inside and out, after all the practicing and studying they have put in.

Because of that, despite all the off-field talking, speculation and discussion, it will still be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference when it comes to the final outcome of this upcoming weekend.

With that, here are three key matchups to watch during Sunday’s Bills-Chiefs matchup:

PFF: 5 highest-graded #Bills players on defense in Week 12 vs. the #Eagles:

The Buffalo Bills narrowly lost in overtime to the Philadelphia Eagles, 37-34, in their Week 12 matchup on Sunday afternoon.

The Bills (6-6) had a few players that stood out above the rest on the defensive side. It’s hard to say that the Bills defense did well when they had conceded the most points in a game this season, but this was against a dangerous Philadelphia offense who only have one loss in the 2023 NFL season.

With multiple injuries on the defensive side of the ball, the Bills had their work cut out for them and performed to their best but ultimately could not keep the Eagles out of the end zone in overtime.

In terms of positive efforts on defense, these players will especially need to continue to put in a tremendous effort, according to Pro Football Focus.

Here are the five highest-graded Bills players on defense against the Eagles (10-1) according to PFF’s metrics:

Report card: Bills fall 37-34 in overtime at Eagles

Report card: #Bills fall 37-34 in overtime at #EaglesL

The Buffalo Bills took an opportunity to build on their push toward the playoffs in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles and squandered it.

Buffalo (6-6) lost 37-34 in overtime against Philadelphia (10-1). Now the Bills have to take the defeat and push it far, far away. From here, the Bills will hope their march toward the postseason does not fall short for the first time since 2018.

Buffalo’s game plans fell short, and in the end, that was reflected by the final score.

The same can be said for the grades the team received following the contest, too.
