Puma releases new Phantomcat Nitro golf shoe to be worn by Rickie Fowler

The new Phantomcat Nitro golf shoe has been released, and it’s Puma’s most advanced shoe yet.

This shoe looks good, but the technology behind the Phantomcat takes it to a whole new level. The new nitrogen infused foam in the heel helps give an improved rebound and lightweight response as you walk. Say goodbye to squished toes, Puma has restructured its toe box with an anatomically shaped last providing a better fit for more golfers.

In addition, the new Flexspike design provides an upgraded traction system. Flexspike was engineered to increase surface contact with the ground with its uniquely shaped cleats. These cleats provide a greater grip in the ground and better weight distribution, making these shoes feel lighter and more comfortable. The Flexspike technology allows the foot to move in all different directions as you swing and walk throughout the day.

The Phantomcat Nitro includes a 1-year waterproof guarantee with its full grain leather uppers. The TPU outsole is made up of a molded heel panel and secondary traction elements to help lock the foot into place.

Adidas introduces striking new MC87 4D footwear design

It is a gender-neutral, spikeless shoe that was inspired by the 1987 shoe, the Tiverton.

Adidas has mixed today’s technology with the classic design of golf footwear and developed the MC87 4D.

This shoe is sure to turn heads with a futuristic 4D midsole and a classic upper. It is a gender-neutral, spikeless shoe that was inspired by the 1987 shoe, the Tiverton.

The Tiverton had similar wing tip styling, brogue stitch detail and croc texturing all in a classic leather. Today, the MC87 4D has combined those traditional designs with a more modern water-resistant upper.

The 4D midsole is printed with light and oxygen using Digital Light Synthesis and is the first of its kind. With the Ryder Cup quickly approaching, they have included a special cobblestone sock liner as an ode to the streets of Rome.

“Over the last 18 months we’ve noticed golfers wanting more vintage designs, and we’re in a unique position where our archives provide some amazing product inspiration as we continue our mission to be the most progressive golf brand in the world,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, Adidas Golf. “We challenged ourselves to combine the timeless aesthetics from the past with the technology of today, and MC87 4D was the perfect result. It’s a very special silhouette, a first for us in golf using the 4D technology, and it will be one that golfers everywhere will be excited about.”

Adidas has engineered this shoe with energy return in mind with its intricate lattice structure. To round out the 4D midsole, the shoe features a rubber spikeless outsole with lugs to provide additional traction and grip for when golfers head to the course. The MC87 4D will also come with a removable kiltie.

Retro makes a comeback: Adidas releases new MC80 golf shoe

Retro is so in right now, and these reinvented MC80 golf shoes from Adidas are no exception.

Adidas has reinvented the classic MC80, which was inspired by archives in the 1980’s.

The new MC80 is a spikeless silhouette that combines Lightstrike and Boost technology for added comfort and stability. The shoe features a leather upper with brogue stitch detail and croc texturing throughout.

The outsole features a Torsion bar to provide golfers with additional torsion control. Adidas included a technical spikeless TPU outsole for added traction with a rubber welt in the midsole to help round out the look.

Adidas’ goal with this shoe was to maintain the retro silhouette without the heaviness and clunky weight of the past design. The new MC80 is lightweight and comes with a flexible upper and Insite Pu insole to help with fit, comfort and stability.

The MC80 was first introduced as part of the Adidas x Bogey Boys collection a few weeks back through a limited-edition model. The in-line colorways will feature a classic white and black, white with pops of yellow and a special white and light blue colorway that will be available in limited quantities.

“Golfers today are very much intrigued by the footwear styles from the past, but they also want a shoe that can offer modern-day performance benefits out on the course,” said Masun Denison, global director of footwear, Adidas Golf.

“The personality and style of MC80 is primarily designed to give golfers that modern classic silhouette but we were able to include so many benefits that golfers don’t see. The biggest surprise that they will discover is how comfortable these shoes are out of the box, but then they’ll notice the stability and traction to go along the rich finish in the upper. It’s a unique model that we’re excited for golfers to experience.”

The new MC80 shoes will be available at Adidas.com, the Adidas app and at select retailers worldwide beginning Tuesday, Aug. 1 in men’s and women’s sizes.

Adidas has finally engineered its iconic Ultraboost sneaker as a golf shoe

The wait is almost over, sneakerheads.

The Adidas Ultraboost shoe took the footwear industry by storm in 2015. Golf sneaker enthusiasts have been patiently waiting for Adidas to release the golf version of the shoe and the wait is finally coming to an end.

The golf version of the shoe was inspired by the original Ultraboost silhouette with golf specific features to make this a performance shoe engineered to play all day.

The upper was designed to repel water with its hydrophobic yarns and the Primeknit upper and microfiber leather toe overlay for additional stability.

Adidas reinvents a classic with limited edition Samba OG golf shoe

The OG Sambas are set to drop in November for the United States.

The Samba style shoe has been a classic of Adidas’ brand for decades. It was originally created for footballers when playing on icy and wet turf. Today, the shoe is a desired style among sneakerheads and athletes of all levels for a stylish, performance shoe.

Adidas Golf has introduced the limited edition Samba OG spikeless golf shoe with sought-after classic white and black colors. Last month, Adidas released a special edition version of the shoe in pastel colorways that sold quickly. This OG shoe is sure to fly off the shelves fast as well.

The pair is crafted from recycled materials, and the upper is made from synthetic leather with a one-year waterproof warranty. The EVA cushioning in the midsole provides all-day comfort while the spikeless outsole remains durable to withstand any surface from grass to concrete while maintaining the traction of the shoe.
