Five-star TE reaffirms his commitment to Georgia

Five-star tight end announces that he won’t be taking any other visits outside of Georgia football.

Five-star tight end recruit Elyiss Williams has confirmed his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs. Williams is one of two five-star recruits that is currently committed to the University of Georgia’s football program.

Williams has been committed to Georgia football since April 2023, but that is not stopping top college football programs from recruiting the elite tight end. Williams recently said, “I’m locked in, Go Dawgs!” and does not plan to go on any other official visits.

247Sports ranks Elyiss Williams as the No. 1 tight in the class of 2025. Williams is considered the No. 19 player in the nation and the fourth-ranked player in Georgia.

Georgia tight ends coach Todd Hartley played in key role in recruiting the five-star athlete. Hartley is the nation’s top recruiting tight end coach. He helped bring players like Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington to Athens.

Elyiss Williams plays high school football for Charlton County High School in Folkston, Georgia. The 6-foot-7, 235-pound athlete has excellent size. Williams also plays basketball. The Charlton standout has an invitation to the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game.

Georgia is on a roll in recruiting. The Dawgs signed the No. 1 class of 2024 and recently added a commitment from a five-star recruit in the class of 2025.

5-star CB Dijon Lee cuts his list to four schools

Five-star cornerback recruit Dijon Lee is the top-ranked prospect in California

Five-star cornerback recruit Dijon Lee has narrowed down his top schools to just four college football programs. Lee’s top schools are Georgia, Washington, Alabama and Texas A&M.

Georgia and Washington are the only holdovers from Lee’s list of top schools in January. Alabama and Texas A&M were not previously in his top eight.

Lee has official visits this summer with each of his top four schools. The elite defensive back plans to visit Georgia on June 7, Washington on May 31, Texas A&M on June 14 and Alabama on June 21. Additionally, Lee has a visit lined up with Texas for June 12.

Lee is a member of the class of 2025 and is one of the more intriguing recruits in his class. What makes Lee unique? The 6-foot-4, 190-pound cornerback has rare size for a player at his position.

The talented defensive back plays high school football for Mission Viejo High School in Mission, Viejo, California. Lee is ranked as the No. 26 recruit in the rising senior class and the fifth-ranked cornerback. He’s the top-ranked recruit in California in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Georgia has done an elite job of recruiting top secondary talent in recent years. The Bulldogs had three defensive backs drafted in the 2024 NFL draft, so Georgia has an impressive pitch to offer for defensive back recruits.

Dijon Lee announced his top schools via social media:

Georgia signed the nation’s No. 1 class of 2024 and is working to bring in another elite recruiting class. Georgia signed five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson in the class of 2024.

Four-star UGA recruiting target decommits from Mississippi State

Georgia football is in the mix for four-star defensive lineman that recently decommitted from Mississippi State

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star defensive tackle commitment Jeremiah McCloud in March. Now, McCloud is backing off his commitment to Mississippi State after originally committing to the Bulldogs in January. McCloud is a member of the class of 2025.

Jeremiah McCloud plays high school football for Gadsden County High School in Havana, Florida. McCloud is considered the No. 15 defensive tackle in the class of 2025 and the No. 45 recruit in Florida, according to Rivals.

McCloud has recently visited the University of Georgia in March. The four-star defensive tackle is also considering the Florida Gators. In fact, Rivals projects that McCloud will commit to Florida.

Georgia currently has eight commitments in the class of 2025 including one from defensive lineman Stephon Shivers. The Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 11 recruiting class and are fifth in the SEC, but it is still early in the 2025 recruiting cycle. There’s no doubt Georgia will finish among the best in the country on national signing day.

Four-star Georgia linebacker commit visiting Alabama

Four-star Buford standout, Georgia linebacker commit sets June official visit with Alabama football

Elite linebacker recruit Jadon Perlotte plans to take an official visit to Alabama on June 14. Alabama is looking to pry away Perlotte, who has been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since Dec. 2022.

In the fall of 2023, the four-star linebacker was projected to flip his commitment to the Florida State Seminoles. However, Perlotte previously told On3, “I dropped Florida State, so I’m not even looking at them anymore.”

Perlotte plays football for Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. Buford is one of the premier high school football programs in the country. Perlotte played alongside Georgia freshman safety KJ Bolden during the 2023 football season at Buford. Perlotte plays both linebacker and safety and the high school level and has excellent versatility.

The four-star, who grew up a Georgia fan, is the No. 92 recruit nationally and the No. 13 recruit in Georgia in the class of 2025. The elite linebacker is the No. 12 player at his position. Georgia currently has eight commitments in the class of 2025 and the nation’s No. 11 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker runs track and has committed to playing in the 2025 All-American Bowl. Perlotte’s brother, Jordan, plays college football for Wofford. Kirby Smart and Georgia signed the top recruiting class in the nation in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

4-star Georgia quarterback target sets commitment date

Elite quarterback recruit Ryan Montgomery has locked in his commitment date and will choose among Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.

Class of 2025 four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery has officially set his commitment date. Montgomery confirmed he will commit this Wednesday, April 17, at 3 p.m. ET at Findlay High School. He will choose among Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.

Montgomery is from Findlay, Ohio, and is listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. He passed for 3,877 yards, 38 touchdowns, and five interceptions in his junior season while leading Findlay to an 8-3 record and the first round of the playoffs. He also ran for 257 yards and ten touchdowns. He broke Ben Roethlisberger’s school record for single-game touchdown passes with six this past season.

Though he was long seen as a South Carolina lean, Georgia has been trending heavily as of late for Montgomery according to numerous recruiting resources. The Bulldogs recently received a commitment from class of 2026 number one quarterback Jared Curtis, but also missed out on four-star signal caller Matt Zollers, who recently committed to Missouri. This leaves the Dawgs without a quarterback commitment at this time in the current recruiting cycle.

Montgomery would be a major addition to a quarterback room that could be down to two scholarship quarterbacks in Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi to start next season.

Short primarily plays offensive tackle for Evans High School, but is projected as an offensive guard at the next level.

Short committed to Georgia over Clemson, Kentucky, and Ohio State. Clemson was considered Georgia’s main competition for the Evans offensive lineman. Short was previously committed to Alabama before Nick Saban retired.

Let’s take a look at the scenes from Evans High School as Mason Short committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia football offers 4-star Mississippi State DL commit

UGA football offers four-star Mississippi State commitment who visited Athens over the weekend

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star Mississippi State defensive tackle commitment Jeremiah McCloud. McCloud is a member of the class of 2025, who committed to Mississippi State in January.

Georgia recently lost a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry, so the Bulldogs are looking to secure a commitment from another defensive lineman.

Jeremiah McCloud plays high school football for Gadsden County High School in Havana, Florida. Rivals ranks McCloud as a four-star prospect. He is considered the No. 15 defensive tackle in the class of 2025 and the No. 45 recruit in Florida.

McCloud visited Georgia football over the weekend and was very excited to receive a scholarship offer from the Bulldogs.

Georgia currently has five commitments in the class of 2025. The Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 15 recruiting class, but it is still early in the 2025 recruiting cycle. There’s no doubt Georgia will finish among the best in the country on national signing day.

Georgia gets commitment of top-ranked 2026 QB Jared Curtis

Jared Curtis, the No. 1 sophomore quarterback in the nation, became the first Georgia Bulldogs commit in the class of 2026.

With the 2024 class prepping to begin their collegiate journeys, the Georgia Bulldogs are looking not just to 2025 but also to make moves to address 2026.

On Saturday, they picked up the commitment of the top-ranked quarterback in the class, sophomore Jared Curtis.

The Nashville Christian School (Tenn.) quarterback is already 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds. A starter for both of his first two years in high school, he has averaged about 2,400 yards, 26 touchdowns, and eight interceptions per season while completing 57.5% of his passes, according to MaxPreps.

He posted to social media platform X in partnership with On3’s Hayes Fawcett to break the news of his commitment:

Curtis has previously told 247Sports that “the way their coaching staff is together and how are they are supportive to each other” stands out to him about Georgia’s program. “I know they’re settled and not going anywhere,” he added.

Curtis is Georgia’s first commitment in the class of 2026. The Bulldogs are one of only eight programs to commit in the class, joining Ohio State, Oregon, USC, Oklahoma, Penn State, Florida State, and South Carolina. No school has two commits in the class as of March 23. Of those programs, Georgia is one of only three have a five-star recruit, per the 247Sports Composite rankings (Ohio State with WR Chris Henry Jr. and Oregon with DL Tony Cumberland).

The Bulldogs currently have five recruits in the class of 2025, including five-star prospect Elyiss Williams.

Note: This article has been updated to reflect that Justus Terry, the five-star recruit who had committed to Georgia, has now flipped to USC.

Georgia’s 355-pound commitment Stephon Shivers once had a 75-yard touchdown run…as a running back

Georgia commit Stephon Shivers is a unique athlete.

Georgia landed an important commitment on Friday, securing a verbal from Stephon Shivers. But the defensive tackle might just be a secret weapon for Georgia on offense.

The three-star defensive tackle’s verbal to Georgia adds some much-needed interior presence to their class. At 6-foot-4 and 355 pounds, Shivers is an impressive prospect with a recruiting offer list to match his frame.

Earlier in March, Shivers was offered by Texas. He also held offers from Florida, Louisville, Michigan, Purdue and Tennessee among others.

From Humboldt (Humboldt, Tennessee), Shivers takes on multiple blockers in the interior and does a nice job of not just collapsing the pocket but breaking free to make plays in the backfield.

Not surprisingly, on film he shows good strength as well as solid pad level and good footwork. His commitment gives Georgia a prospect with a very high ceiling.

But this highlight play, where Shivers took a handoff and ran for 75 yards…well, it defies any type of explanation.

According to 247Sports, Shivers is the No. 13 player in Tennessee in this recruiting cycle. Nationally, he is the No. 39 interior defensive lineman.

He also plays varsity basketball for Humboldt.
