PFF ranks the preseason top 25 ahead of the college football season. Where are the Georgia Bulldogs?

The Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2019 season with a 12-2 record and will look to improve on that mark next season. Kirby Smart and Georgia return an elite defense.

The Dawgs should have the best defense in the nation, but they have several inexperienced newcomers on the offensive side of the football. Wake Forest quarterback transfer Jamie Newman will give Georgia a boost in what should be a very competitive SEC.

There isn’t a clear top quarterback heading into the season in the SEC. Clemson and Ohio State return Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields, who are projected to be the best quarterbacks in the country.

Visit Pro Football Focus for the entirety of their preseason top 25. Nine SEC teams make their top 25. Georgia will face Alabama (No. 3), Florida (No. 6), Auburn (No. 10), Tennessee (No. 19), and Kentucky (No. 20) next season.

Georgia could potentially face LSU (No. 4 ) in the SEC Championship Game too. Overall, Georgia has another tough schedule ahead in 2020, but could afford to lose one game and still make the College Football Playoff.
