Florida football partakes in its final Gator Walk of the 2022 season.

Florida football plays its final home game of the season on Saturday in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Ahead of the Southeastern Conference East Division matchup, the Orange and Blue partook in a storied tradition in the Swamp: the Gator Walk.

The Week 11 game between the Gators and Gamecocks is the home team’s Senior Day as well as the Salute to Service game. Shortly before kickoff, the team filed into the stadium for the final time with the seniors on hand.

It’s almost time for kickoff. Here’s a look back at the Gator Walk and the afternoon leading up to Florida’s matchup with LSU.

Florida has completed the Gator Walk, and we are under an hour away from kickoff against LSU.

Alabama and Tennessee thrilled in the late afternoon, and SEC fans are hoping for a fun nightcap in the Swamp. Gators fans, of course, were out in full force today, tailgating and preparing for what is hopefully Florida’s third-straight win.

This is Florida’s final home game for the next few weeks. Next week is a bye, and then it is off to Jacksonville for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party and Georgia Game. Florida is at College Station to face the Texas A&M Aggies after that, and then the team finally returns to the Swamp to face South Carolina. With that schedule in mind, it’s easy to see why most have pegged this game to be the biggest of Florida’s season.

The Gators are seizing the moment. Tickets sold out weeks ago, and several elite recruits are on campuses to see what Billy Napier‘s crew has to offer. A win would go a long way both on and off the field.

Social Media reaction leading up to Florida’s Week 6 matchup with Missouri

The Florida Gators are nearly ready to take on the Missouri Tigers. Here’s everything that happened in the morning leading up to the game.

It’s Homecoming week in Gainesville and the Florida Gators football team is capping things off with a game against the Missouri Tigers set for noon on Saturday.

The Gators entered Week 6 with a 3-2 overall record but without a win against an SEC opponent. Early losses to Kentucky and Tennessee have hurt Florida’s national image following an upset over Utah to start the season, but a convincing win could turn the tide when the team needs it the most.

Florida is getting ready to face a trio of tough opponents (LSU, Georgia and Texas A&M), so that makes this a must-win game for the Orange and Blue. Mizzou just tested Georgia for three quarters, so this isn’t a bad team to prep for the top of the conference with.

There’s also some injury news to discuss with Florida. Cornerback [autotag]Devin Moore[/autotag] isn’t dressed for the game and it looks like he won’t be in action today.

Here’s what people are saying in the moments leading up to the game.

The Florida Gators and Missouri Tigers are scheduled to meet in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for noon. Ahead of gridiron action, the team took part in a time-honored tradition in Gainesville: Gator Walk.

Starting under Urban Meyer in 2005, the players as well as members of the team’s staff arrive at the stadium with hordes of fans awaiting them with bated breath. The event allows the Gator Nation to wish the team well as it enters the stadium on the way to the locker room, helping to elevate the experience for both the audience as well as the athletes.

Social media reactions leading up to Florida’s football’s season opener

Florida and Utah are set to square off for the 2022 season opener, and social media is abuzz. Check out the talk on Billy Napier’s first Gator Walk and more.

The early slate of college football games didn’t disappoint — well, Texas A&M got stuck in a three-hour lightning delay so that’s not entirely true — but the big game in the Sunshine State on Saturday is Florida versus No. 7 Utah at 7 p.m. EDT.

Gators Wire already went over the early reactions on social media to Florida’s matchup, and now it’s time to look at the moments leading up to the big game. Fans started to gather around 4 p.m. to see the first Gator Walk of the Billy Napier. Mother Nature tried to dampen things with some light rain, but the crowd stayed put and greeted the new head coach and the team as they entered the stadium.

Eventually, the fans followed and took their seats for the first game of the season. It’s been a long time, but the Gators are back and hope to kick off the Billy Napier era with an upset win.
