Week 8 saw the Detroit Lions top 50 points in a game for the first time in the 21st century. The Lions rampaged past the visiting Tennessee Titans by a 52-14 score, with Detroit posting the final 38 points of the game. The win advanced the Lions record to an NFC-best 6-1 and extended Detroit’s win streak to five games.

It was a glorious beatdown featuring loads of big plays and standout moments. Many of those were captured on film by the professional photographers inside Ford Field.

Top photos from the Detroit Lions Week 7 win in Minnesota against the previously unbeaten Vikings

For the second consecutive week, the Detroit Lions conquered their foe on the road. After waxing the Cowboys in Dallas in Week 6, Jared Goff, Brian Branch and the Lions rolled into Minnesota and stunned the previously unbeaten Vikings in Week 7.

The Lions shook off a slow start and then held on for dear life, coming away with a 31-29 victory. The win gives the Lions the best record in the NFC at 5-1, earning the tie-breaker over the Vikings.

The Washington Commanders improved to 5-2 on Sunday with a 40-7 win over the Carolina Panthers from Northwest Stadium.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game with a rib injury in the first quarter. Marcus Mariota replaced him, completing 18 of 23 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 71 yards and scored a touchdown in his return.

The Commanders’ defense held the Panthers 180 and forced two turnovers.

The Tour is back in Sin City.

The PGA Tour is back in Sin City for the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin, where fan-favorite Tom Kim returns looking to win the event for the third straight year. Kim hasn’t played since the FedEx St. Jude Championship — he did represent the International Team at the Presidents Cup in Canada — but sits as the heavy betting favorite at 12/1 (+1200).

Some of the other names in the field include Rickie Fowler, Maverick McNealy, Taylor Pendrith and Beau Hossler.

TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas is a par-71 track that measures 7,255 yards. This week’s winner will take home $1.26 million of the $7 million purse and 500 FedEx Cup points.

Sunday night, it was J.T. Poston hoisting the trophy for his third career PGA Tour win.

Commanders vs. Ravens: Best photos from Week 6

The best images from Sunday’s game between the Commanders and Ravens.

The Washington Commanders fell to 4-2 after Sunday’s 30-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels had another terrific performance but was outdueled on this day by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens finished with 484 yards of total offense in the win, as Washington’s defense struggled to get stops to help Daniels and the offense.

Daniels still had the Commanders in the game in the fourth quarter.

The second event of the FedEx Cup Fall heads to Jackson, Mississippi, for the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship at The Country Club of Jackson. From the trophy to the tee markers and all of the signage, the rooster will be a prominent feature throughout the week, but enjoy it while it lasts.

Sanderson Farms has been the title sponsor of the Tour’s Mississippi event since 2013 and has renewed for the 2025 event.

Over the first three days of competition, players will take on The Old Course at St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, three of the most iconic venues in the sport, before the final round is played at the Home of Golf.

Some of the big names in the field include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrrell Hatton and Billy Horschel.

LIV Golf’s Yasir Al-Rumayyan, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and DP World Tour Chief Executive Officer Guy Kinnings are all expected to be at the event.
