#Bills QB Josh Allen has achievement enshrined in Hall of Fame”
Josh Allen is officially in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The fourth year pro hasn’t been given a bust or yellow jacket, but one of his latest historic achievements is now being exhibited in Canton, OH.
Now on display at the Hall are the game-worn shoes and jersey of @BuffaloBills quarterback @JoshAllenQB from Week 16.
He became the only player in @NFL history with at least 100 touchdown passes and 20 rushing touchdowns in his first four seasons.#BillsMafia

Allen recently became the first and only player in NFL history with at least 100 touchdown passes and 20 rushing touchdowns in his first four seasons.
He accomplished the milestone during the Bills 33-21 Week 16 victory over the New England Patriots, in which he threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 64 yards rushing.
His shoes and jersey that he wore in the game is now on display in the Hall of Fame’s Pro Football Today Gallery.
Becoming the first player in history to set new ones altogether is just the latest in a growing list of accolades for the Bills QB.
And while it’s too far too soon to tell if he will be inducted into the HOF after his playing days are over, if he continues his trend of making NFL history then we may just see him permanently enshrined in Canton someday as well.
The Bills are once again on a playoff trajectory following a big 33-21 win over the Patriots.
Buffalo now has a 99.2% chance to make the playoffs and an 89.2% chance to win their division, per ESPN’s Football Power Index.
They need to win out their final two games to secure their second consecutive AFC East crown, beginning in Orchard Park Sunday against Atlanta.
With the Bills now back in the driver’s seat heading towards the postseason, here are three keys to a win for the Bills (9-6) against the Falcons (7-8):
The Buffalo Bills are coming into Foxborough energized from a win last week against the Carolina Panthers that saw an electric performance on offense and an on-brand defensive effort.
Buffalo played with a competitive fire they’ll need to win out the final few games of the regular season and make the playoffs.
At home against Carolina, the Bills looked a lot more like the team that won four straight games early in the season, and less like the one that had lost their two previous outings.
One of those contests was against none other than this week’s opponent, their AFC rival New England Patriots.
With Josh Allen and company dialed into what they need to do in order to charge into the postseason, and with the Patriots standing in their way, the matchup has even greater implications.
So with the AFC East title up for grabs, here are three keys to a win for the Bills (8-6) against the Patriots (9-5):
The QB has made it clear the Bills focus each week is on being the best team on the field.
Last week against the Carolina Panthers, they did just that in a 31-14 victory.
With this Sunday’s contest against the New England Patriots in Foxborough taking place the day after Christmas, Allen was asked by a member of the press what he wants this year.
He had one answer, and it wasn’t something found under the tree or in a stocking, but on a football field:
The Bills QB stated that his holiday wish was “just to go out there and execute on Sunday.”
Buffalo had trouble with that execution in the red zone on offense and making tackles on defense in their last outing against their division rival, who they’ll need to beat this week if they are to win the AFC East and secure a spot in the playoffs.
“I think that game we had our chances and we didn’t execute like we should have,” Allen said while addressing the media.
He was also confident when asked if the team was embracing what was on the line this week, with the playoff and division ramifications this game has.
“For sure, and again we know what’s at stake,” Allen added. “We’re not trying to make it the biggest game, but like you said, it is because it is the next. And we’re not trying to approach it any differently than we would any other week. We’re trying to hone in our skills, figure out a game plan and figure out what we can do to best execute that game plan on Sunday.”
While breaking records has seemingly become an annual occurrence in his young career, QB Josh Allen set a whole new one in Sunday’s win over the Carolina Panthers.
He became the first Bills quarterback in franchise history to record consecutive seasons with over 30 thrown touchdown passes.
In the modern offense-driven NFL, Allen has been a standout the past two seasons with his signature arm strength, accuracy development, and ability to extend possessions and make plays.
37 of his 46 total scores in 2020 were aerial and good for the teams’ single-season TD record, and the 4,544 passing yards that came along with them was a team record as well. Per Stat Muse, he averaged 2.31 passing touchdowns per game played in 2020.
This season, he has 31 TD tosses and is averaging 2.21 passing touchdowns per game played, which would play out at the same total number (37) if he throws on average.
That being said, Allen is anything but average.
In Sunday’s contest alone, he threw three touchdowns against Carolina. He also has a knack for putting up special stats, and league-wide ones at that.
In only his fourth professional season, Allen has already become the only quarterback in NFL history to go for over 400 passing yards, over 30 passing TD’s and over eight rushing TD’s in a single season. He is the first player in NFL history to have two games in a season with a three-plus passing TD and 400-plus passing yard performance with zero interceptions along with a 130-plus passer rating. He is also the only player in the history of the league to log three consecutive seasons of seven-or-more rushing touchdowns.
If the Bills offense can continue to play at the high octanse level seen on Sunday as they make a run at the playoffs, it’s entirely possible that could lead to Allen surpassing last year’s total to set a new franchise mark in the final three games of the regular season.
We may see more of Allen in the team record books in the weeks to come, though his focus will be set on beating the New England Patriots in Foxboro this Sunday, winning the AFC East in the final three games, and making the playoffs for a third consecutive season.
Stock up, stock down following the #Bills’ win over the #Packers (via @mckennamiddle):
The Buffalo Bills capped off their preseason with a 19-0 win over the Green Bay Packers. The Bills took control of the game during the first drive and never looked back.
When quarterback Josh Allen was on the field, Buffalo looked in mid-season form, they connected on the short and intermediate routes as well as taking calculated strikes down the field. The Bills defense also looked ready to go, creating havoc for opposing quarterback Jordan Love and forcing a turnover.
So let us look at who performed and who didn’t in the Bills preseason finale in this week’ stock report:
Stock report from Buffalo Bills’ AFC Divisional round win vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
The Buffalo Bills are going to play in the AFC Championship game for the first time since 1994… and it feels good.
The Bills faced a red-hot Baltimore Ravens team in a game that was a defensive chess match, as Buffalo tried to stifle the stampede of Baltimore. While the Ravens tried to shutdown the high-flying Bills. The chess match was ultimately won by Buffalo defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, and he had the perfect game plan to stifle the NFL’s best rushing attack in the Ravens.
The game was tight throughout it and the 17-3 score line reflects that/
With that, here’s this week stock report from Bills Wire following the Bills’ win over the Ravens in the AFC Divisional round:
Stock up
Taron Johnson
Starting with the obvious, Taron Johnson won the game for the Bills. As the third quarter was winding down, the Ravens were knocking on the door of Buffalo’s end zone. But as Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson dropped back and unleashed a fastball towards his tight end Mark Andrews, Johnson jumped the pass. Johnson read Jackson the entire way, making the interception look quite easy, but once the ball was his hands he had to outrace the entire Ravens offense. He took the ball from end zone to end zone, an exceptional 101-yard pick six.
Outside of the pick-six, Taron put pressure on Jackson when he dropped back to pass, stepped up in trying to stop the run with six tackles, and broke up a pass. Johnson had a slow start to the season, but in the back half of the season he improved his game. Becoming a key contributor for a resurging Buffalo defense.
Matt Milano
Linebacker Matt Milano had an outstanding game against the Ravens, having an all around impact for the Bills defense. Throughout the game the outside linebacker was in the backfield making it difficult for Baltimore to run the ball. He also was one of the key factors in the poor passing performance from Lamar Jackson. Milano was rushing Jackson off the edge making him uncomfortable in the pocket.
Milano’s statline emphasized his utility, he had seven tackles and broke up two passes. With either the Browns or Kansas City coming up on the horizon he’ll need to have another great game.
Jerry Hughes
Against the Colts in the Wild Card weekend, the Bills couldn’t create any pressure or stop the run… that couldn’t be said against Baltimore. The Bills front-four contained Jackson, and met their running backs in the backfield often. Hughes had a sensational game coming off the edge, he made Jackson uncomfortable, and forced the Ravens tailbacks to the teeth of the Bills defense. It was a performance that seemed almost unimaginable after his poor showing against the Colts.
Hughes finished the game with two sacks, three tackles, and two quarterback hits. As the longest-tenured member of the Bills, seeing Hughes put up such a big game feels good.
Stefon Diggs
What more can be said about receiver Stefon Diggs? He’s been dominate all season, and against one of the best secondary’s in the league, Diggs again was dominant. He was the safety valve for his quarterback, making big catches on third down, first down, and the all important opening touchdown. Diggs finished the game with eight catches, 106 yards, and a touchdown.
It’s safe to say that Buffalo won the trade.
Honorable mentions:
The rest of the defense, positives can be said about the entire unit. It took the whole group to stop one of the hottest teams in the league. Frazier called the perfect game, he knew what the Ravens wanted to do all night and made great calls. Quarterback Josh Allen, the pressure of the moment never fazed him, but he made some questionable throws throughout the game.
The Bills won 27-24 over the Indianapolis Colts in a tense battle to kickoff the Wild Card weekend.
The Buffalo Bills broke their 25-year playoff winning drought with their 27-24 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Saturday’s Wild Card outing. It was an intense atmosphere that saw both teams exchange leads, a 54-yard field goal, plenty of officiating reviews, and a failed Hail Mary. The Bills ultimately prevailed and will get to host another playoff game in the divisional round.
Following the Buffalo victory, here’s how the Bills fared in this week’s stock report:
Stock up
Josh Allen
There were a ton of questions being asked of quarterback Josh Allen entering the Wild Card weekend, most of them were if he could shake last years collapse against the Houston Texans. To answer those questions, yes… yes he could. Allen was dynamic against one of the best defenses in the league, lighting them up for 378 total yards and three total touchdowns.
Credit to the Colts, they made life difficult for Allen flushing him out of the pocket, and forcing him to make tough throws. Unfortunately for the Colts, their secondary couldn’t cover receivers Gabe Davis or Stefon Diggs when the play broke down. Of course, if his receivers weren’t open he made plays with legs, rushing for 54 yards and one touchdown.
These types of performances will be needed from Allen if the Bills want to continue beyond the Wild Card weekend.
Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis
What more can be said about Stefon Diggs? He’s an elite receiver who can make even the best of defenses look foolish. Diggs’ first catch showed one of his more underrated talents… his toughness. It was a 37-yard grab over the middle where he took a shot from the Colts safety. Diggs got right back up, and immediately started jawing at the Indianapolis secondary.
He wasn’t just tough, he also put up great numbers. Diggs had six catches for 128 yards and one touchdown to lead the Bills. A sensational effort for his debut performance in front of Bills Mafia.
We’re not done talking about the receiving corp though… how good is Gabriel Davis? The rookie made clutch catches throughout the game, especially on the Bills final drive of the first half. Both of his catches came down the sideline, helping set up a Josh Allen touchdown to the end the half.
Like Diggs, Davis had an impressive stat line, four grabs for 85 yards. An average of 21.3 yards per catch. A big play waiting to happen.
Micah Hyde
The Bills defense had a shaky performance against Indy, they struggled to stop the run, allowing 163 yards on the ground, and didn’t put any pressure on Philip Rivers. So when the Bills needed a big play, Micah Hyde delivered. He stepped up in the run in the game, denying Jonathan Taylor in the red zone, and made the play of the season so far in the closing seconds of the game.
To set the scene: The Bills are hanging onto to a three-point lead, and there are just four seconds left in the game. Future Hall of Famer Philip Rivers has a shot to steal the game for the Colts, he launches a 60-yard Hail Mary towards receiver T.Y. Hilton. Buffalo has seen this before, Week 10, the Hail Murray. Hearts are in the throats all throughout Western New York, but before Hilton can break the hearts of Buffalo, Hyde spikes the pass down with authority sealing the victory.
Honorable mentions
Both linebackers, Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano had good games, breaking up passes, and meeting running backs in the backfield. Kicker Tyler Bass hit a 54 yard field goal, setting the playoff record for longest field goal made by a rookie. Finally, offensive linemen Daryl Williams. Williams jumped on Josh Allen’s fumble in the 4th quarter, which could have been disastrous if the Colts recovered.
Buffalo Bills stock report following their Week 13 Monday Night Football win.
The Buffalo Bills returned to Monday Night Football in their matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, where they beat the Bay Area team, 34-24. By the end of the first quarter, it seemed like the game would slip through the Bills’ fingers, but they managed to bounce back. After a turnover that set up the first 49ers touchdown, Buffalo (9-3) handled its business and took care of a depleted San Francisco (5-7) squad.
With the Monday Night Football drought finally broken, here’s Bills Wire’s latest stock report following the team’s Week 13 win over the Niners:
Stock up
Josh Allen
It was another barn-burning performance from quarterback Josh Allen, where he became the first Buffalo quarterback to complete 80 percent of his passes and throw for four touchdowns in a game.
Not bad.
The Bills quarterback wasn’t afraid to spread the sugar against the 49ers, completing passes to seven different pass catchers. And Allen completed plenty of passes. In fact, he completed 32 of them for 375 yards and the aforementioned four touchdowns. He also completed a variety of throws, whether it was finding Cole Beasley down the seam, or hitting Gabriel Davis in the middle of the field.
Allen couldn’t have played a better game against a strong 49ers defense on a national stage.
The receiving corps
We’re going to cheat here but it wouldn’t be fair to leave out any of the Bills pass catchers, because all of them produced.
Starting with the man of the hour, Cole Beasley. He had nine grabs for 130 yards and one touchdown. The wideout did a lot of his work out of the slot, which shouldn’t have surprised anyone because he came into the game leading all slot receivers in receiving yards. While getting open in the middle is great, he also showed his ability to get open when the play broke down, which is just as important when Allen is your quarterback.
Let’s move to the man of the year, Stefon Diggs. The standout receiver was a nightmare for anyone who tried to cover him. His silky route running gave him space in San Francisco’s zone and he made them pay. Diggs finished the game with 10 catches for 92 yards, putting him over 1,000 yards for the season.
Now let’s end with the rest of the group. Davis had another standout performance, coming down with just three catches, but he had 68 yards and the game-sealing touchdown. The likes of tight end Dawson Knox and wideout Isaiah McKenzie also caught touchdown passes. It was a great performance from the pass catchers – just about all of them.
Micah Hyde
Hyde hasn’t made a lot of plays this season, but that doesn’t mean he’s had a bad season. Hyde has been one of the more consistent forces when the Bills try to stop the run, and has played some decent coverage in the red zone. His performance against San Francisco was something the Bills Mafia has come to expect; he had 12 total tackles and the first of two interceptions by Buffalo.
Hyde has made his career by being in the right place at the right time and playing hard-nosed football. This was one of those games for the defensive back.
Offensive line
Sorry, but we’re going to cheat again. The Bills offensive line had a stellar game against a vaunted 49ers front-four. The front-five for Buffalo looked comfortable when protecting Allen, giving him plenty of time to find the open receiver. They were also very consistent. There have been games where the line had a few really good series, then a few really bad series. Against San Francisco, though, it never seemed outmatched and kept Allen upright, for the most part.
It wasn’t all roses for them, though. They seem to have fits when trying to block inside runs. Whenever the Bills try to run between the tackles, the running back always seems to be hit before he can reach the hole. Dion Dawkins also gave up one sack, but in fairness, it was an excellent pass rush from Dion Jordan.
