Netherlands (1-0-0) battles France (1-0-0) in the 2nd matchday of Euro 2024 from Red Bull Arena Leipzig Friday. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Netherlands vs. France odds, and make our best Euro 2024 bets, picks and predictions.

The Netherlands took down Poland in its first Euro 24 action 2-1, finishing with 21 shots yet just 4 on frame. F Cody Gakpo scored its 1st goal of the tournament. Netherlands dominated with 66% possession. It is among the favorites of the tournament, having taken down Scotland 4-0, Iceland 4-0 and Canada 4-0 along with a 2-1 loss to Germany in its 4 friendlies leading up to the event.

France came out on top as well in its 1st Group D action, beating Austria 1-0 Monday. Its lone goal came on an own goal. France ended with 14 shots and 3 on frame, conceding 52% of the possession. Having lost to Argentina in the World Cup final in 2022, France is among the powerhouses in European football. It was 2-1-1 in its four 2024 friendlies.

Netherlands vs. France picks and predictions

Prediction

France 2, Netherlands 1

Moneyline (ML)

BET FRANCE (+115).

France has arguably the most talented side in the world behind a trio of skilled forwards led by F Kylian Mbappe. It plays its best against top competition, having taken down England in the World Cup quarterfinals 2-1 and then Morocco in the semifinals 2-0. Since then, it has beaten the Netherlands twice in crucial Euro qualifiers, beating its opponent 4-0 and 2-1.

Netherlands looked good leading up to the event but had losses to Germany, France and Croatia in the last year and a half, arguably its only matches against top-tier competition. Considering those trends and for the value here, TAKE FRANCE (+115).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+102).

For both sides, the talent to put the ball in the back of the net is there. Despite France’s earlier struggles in the attack, it has scored 6 goals in its last 2 games against the Netherlands. For the Netherlands, it has gone Over this total in its last 6 games and has tallied at least 4 goals in 4 of those, so it clearly has the scoring capabilities as well.

Netherlands clicked well offensively in the first game, but its typically elite defense allowed 7 shots on frame. Considering the success both sides had offensively over the past few months, back OVER 2.5 (+102).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Australia vs. France odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Australia vs. France odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Australia battles France Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Kickoff from Brisbane Stadium is set for 3 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Australia vs. France odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Co-host Australia took down Denmark 2-0 in its Round of 16 match. It ended with the same amount of shots on frame and just 44% possession but still managed to finish its opportunities. Australia won 2 of 3 Group Stage games, topping the Republic of Ireland (1-0) and Canada (4-0) and losing to Nigeria (3-2). Superstar F Sam Kerr was hurt to start the tournament but returned vs. Denmark and should be set to play again Saturday. Australia sits 10th in the FIFA Women’s Rankings.

France is ranked 5th in the world and thrashed Morocco 4-0 Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals. France was among the more dominant teams in the group stage, taking down Brazil (2-1) and Panama (6-3) and drawing Jamaica (0-0). It is led by star F Kadidiatou Diani, who scored in the 15th minute against Morocco. It ended with 15 shots and held Morocco to just 1.

Australia vs. France picks and predictions

Prediction

Australia 1, France 1

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+230).

Australia is one of the best teams in the event with Kerr on the pitch. While it struggled to score against the Republic of Ireland, it did find a groove, averaging 3 goals per game over its last 2 group stage matches and netting 2 on Denmark in the Round of 16. Kerr’s pace should aid the side virtually playing a home match.

France has been just as dominant, but it has had a weaker schedule, blowing out Morocco and Panama. It drew Jamaica and barely edged Brazil.

While France seems like the better side, in front of many of its own fans and with Kerr back, Australia should put up a fight and there is plenty of value on the 90-minute DRAW (+230).

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS.

The total here isn’t my favorite play, but I do like BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (+100). Australia has scored in every game this World Cup with France only being held scoreless against Jamaica, a side that didn’t concede once in the group stage. Australia scored 2 or more goals on Nigeria, Canada and Denmark, all quality sides. Kerr’s form should only aid its attack.

France has tallied 12 goals in its last 3 games. Despite playing weaker sides, it still managed to get the ball in the back of the net. France also allowed 4 in the Group Stage. Australia will pose a larger challenge, but both offenses have proven to be lethal and should get on the board.

2023 Women’s World Cup: France vs. Morocco odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s France vs. Morocco odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In the final Round of 16 match, France battles Morocco Tuesday. Kickoff from Hindmarsh Stadium is set for 7 a.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the France vs. Morocco odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

France was the favorite in Group F coming into the Group Stage and it emerged as the No. 1 seed, netting 7 points from 2 wins and a draw. Le Bleues scored 8 goals and allowed 4 throughout matches against Jamaica, Brazil and Panama. Particularly impressive was the 2-1 over Brazil — the only other top-10 nation in its group.  France sits 10th in the world per FIFA Women’s Ranking.

Morocco surprisingly made it through one of the more difficult groups, Group H. Top-20 nations South Korea (17) and Germany (2) were sent home in the group stage with Morocco (72) and Colombia (25) advancing. Morocco finished group play with 6 points from 2 wins and a loss. The defeat was a stunning 6-0 loss at the hand of Germany in its opener, but it bounced back with a pair of 1-0 victories over South Korea and Colombia. Its -4 goal differential was the tournament’s only negative mark to advance to the knockout stage.

  • Over/Under: 3.5 (O: +120 | U: -165)

France vs. Morocco picks and predictions

Prediction

France 4, Morocco 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

Morocco advanced, but it lost 6-0 to Germany in its lone match against a technically-sound opponent. France is a nation that should be just as lethal in the final third. France (-625) scored 8 goals in the group stage and should be able to get through Morocco’s defense with ease. However, it is far too expensive to play outright.

France did allow 4 goals in the group stage, so BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE: YES (+130) does offer some value. I would preferably play the total straight up though.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 3.5 (+115).

F Kadidiatou Diani is a star up top for France, netting a hat trick against Panama. She’s a great option in the box and has a proven record of being a top-tier goal scorer. France tallied 6 on a weaker Panama side and even scored 2 on Brazil. It should be able to break through consistently on Morocco. It had 59 shots through 3 group stage matches.

Morocco scored twice and allowed 6, all to Germany. France’s style of play and pace will be more similar to Germany’s than it is to South Korea’s or Colombia’s. Considering France’s defensive flaws against Panama, Morocco could get on the board here as well.

Expect France to put it on early. Take OVER 3.5 (+120).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Panama vs. France odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Panama vs. France odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Panama (0-0-2 / W-D-L) battles France (1-1-0) Wednesday from Sydney Football Stadium. Kickoff in each nation’s final Group F battle is set for 6 a.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Panama vs. France odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Generally speaking, France is primed to advance to the knockout round. It would need a loss and a Brazil-Jamaica draw, both of which are unlikely. France drew Jamaica 0-0 July 23. It had 8 more shots and 3 more on frame than Jamaica. It had 72% possession as well, which suggests it dominated the pace. France then beat Brazil 2-1 Saturday, ending with 8 more shots. France sits 5th in the FIFA Women’s Rankings.

Panama’s tournament will end in the group stage, but do not expect it to roll over here. Panama lost 1-0 to Jamaica Saturday, despite having as many shots on goal. It did have 52% of the game’s possession as well. It lost 4-0 to open its World Cup against Brazil July 24, having been peppered by 32 shots. Panama ranks 52nd in the world.

  • Over/Under: 4.5 (O: +110 | U: -155)

Panama vs. France picks and predictions

Prediction

France 3, Panama 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

France is 1 of the best teams in the tournament, and it needs a win to come out of the group on top. It should put any questioning regarding the outcome of the game away early. It should’ve beaten Jamaica and did end up toppling Brazil. Panama is the least technically-skilled side in the group.

This game will likely resemble the 4-0 Brazil victory over Panama. However, at (-5000), there’s no play here. It is just too expensive to suggest. Similarly, betting against France here also makes little sense.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 4.5 (-155).

The question is: Can France dominate enough to score more than 4 goals?

I would hesitate to assume that if France gets up 2-0 or 3-0, it keeps the pedal to the metal. It has scored 3+ goals in just 3 of its last 12 games. It has topped 3 goals in just 2 of its last 12 games.

Panama did allow just 4 shots on goal to Jamaica and 10 to Brazil. It has given up 5 goals through 2 matches. It has yet to score in the tournament, so it is safe to say it should be held without a goal in this one too.

Expect France to put the brakes on while also holding Panama without a goal. Take UNDER 4.5 (-155).

2023 Women’s World Cup: France vs. Brazil odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s France vs. Brazil odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

France (0-1-0 / W-D-L) takes on Brazil (1-0-0) in the 2023 Women’s World Cup Saturday. Kickoff from Brisbane Stadium in Australia is set for 6 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the France vs. Brazil odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

France is part of a loaded Group F that also includes Jamaica and Panama. It drew Jamaica 0-0 in its opener despite having 8 more shots and 3 more shots on target, respectively ending with 14 and 5. France controlled possession for 73% of the match yet failed to net a goal. It is among the World Cup favorites, sitting 5th on the FIFA Women’s World Rankings while Jamaica is 43rd.

Brazil is ranked 8th. While 37-year-old F Marta is still on the roster, Brazil was led by M Ary Borges in Monday’s win. Borges netted a hat trick as Brazil blasted No. 52 Panama 4-0, ending with 32 shots and 10 on target. Brazil has won 3 straight matches and is 11-1-3 over its last 12 calendar months.

France vs. Brazil picks and predictions

Prediction

Brazil 2, France 1

Moneyline (ML)

LEAN BRAZIL (+155).

Brazil has looked every bit the part of a team that can win the 2023 Women’s World Cup. It dominated Panama in every aspect, and unlike France, it was able to convert against a weaker opponent in the final 3rd. Its success against teams like Germany (2-1 win April 11) and England (1-1 draw April 6) are telling where it is at from a consistency perspective.

France didn’t have too many quality wins this calendar year and lost 1-0 to Australia in its last game prior to the World Cup. It isn’t playing at Brazil’s level right now.

Take BRAZIL (+155).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+125).

Brazil has gone Over this total in 4 of its last 5 matches with the lone 1 missing this total being a 1-1 draw with England. It won 2-1 against Germany (ranked No. 2) and lost 2-1 against the United States (ranked No. 1) in its last 5 matches. It can score on top-tier sides.

France might not have tallied a goal, but it did manage the opportunities which should lend most to believe it will have ample goal-scoring chances again. With 14 shots, expect France’s attack to be better in the final 3rd against Brazil. It has gone Over this total in 3 of its last 5 matches, scoring 3 or more in 2 of its last 5.

Given Brazil’s ability to play with pace and score against elite nation, take OVER 2.5 (+125).

2023 Women’s World Cup: France vs. Jamaica odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s France vs. Jamaica odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In the Group F opener for both nations, France and Jamaica meet Sunday at Sydney Football Stadium in the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the France vs. Jamaica odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

France is looking to build upon its 2019 performance at home, which saw it bow out against the USWNT in the quarterfinals. The heavily favored Les Bleus are led by Wendie Renard, while Valerie Gauvin is also a player to watch.

Jamaica was unable to get out of the group stages in the 2019 World Cup. In a World Cup tune-up on Feb. 22, the Jamaicans were dropped 3-0 by Australia. If there is a bright spot for Jamaica, it’s Havana Solaun, who players for the Houston Dash of the NWSL.

  • Over/Under: 4.5 (O: +130 | U: -185)

France vs. Jamaica picks and predictions

Prediction

France 3, Jamaica 0

Moneyline (ML)

There is no way you can play France (-2000), which would cost you 20 times your potential return. In addition, playing No (-275): Both teams to score? is also too expensive.

This is going to be a rout, and the best bet is to play the MULTIPLE CORRECT SCORE 1:0, 2:0 OR 3:0 (+200) for a chance to double up.

Over/Under (O/U)

Outside of the Multiple Correct Score prop, referenced above, the other best bet is UNDER 4.5 GOALS (-185). If you’re a little more adventurous, playing UNDER 3.5 GOALS (+120) on the alternate line is worth a look at plus-money.

2022 World Cup: Argentina vs. France odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Argentina vs. France odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The 2022 World Cup championship match on Sunday pits Argentina against France. Kickoff from Lusail Stadium is set for 10 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Argentina vs. France odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

It’s the No. 3 team in the world per FIFA men’s rankings against the 4th-best team and defending champs of the event that happens every 4 years. After almost a month in Qatar, fans will either see Argentine F Lionel Messi lift the 1st World Cup trophy of his legendary career or see a repeat celebration by France.

After losing 2-1 to Saudi Arabia in arguably the most shocking upset of the tournament, Argentina beat Mexico (2-0) and Poland (2-0) to win Group C. It then beat Australia (2-1), Netherlands (2-2, winning 4-3 in penalty kicks) and Croatia (3-0) to advance to the final.

France ripped through Group D, beating Australia (4-1) and Denmark (2-1) before losing to Tunisia (1-0). It beat Poland (3-1), England (2-1), and Morocco (2-0) to reach the final. In France’s most challenging game against England, it had 8 fewer shots, 3 fewer on target, and just 42% possession.

LEAN ARGENTINA (+170).

It almost feels like destiny at this point.

Argentina has dominated to this point. In its most competitive game, against the Netherlands, it had 8 more shots and 3 more on target. Also, the French style of play could lean toward allowing a player like Messi to find the gaps.

France doesn’t play a high press like some sides, and those types of openings, like it saw with England, could lead to opportunities for its opponents. Messi, as we’ve seen all tournament, can fit balls where no one else can, and that should be apparent.

With the extra day to recover and the French side having battled some illness in the camp, this outcome feels like the best side on the moneyline.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+135).

Argentina’s offense has been explosive. It is averaging 2 goals per game in this tournament, having scored on some of the better defensive teams in the world, Netherlands and Croatia.

France is not shy of attacking prowess either. Outside of the lone game that France didn’t try (their last group stage match with the group already clinched), France has scored at least 2 in every game and has scored 3 or more twice.

F Kylian Mbappe is one of the most explosive forwards in the world. Couple his talent with the 6-foot-4 F Olivier Giroud, and the France attack should have a solid height advantage over the Argentine backline.

Over 2.5 has hit in 15 of 21 World Cup finals but is just 1-4 O/U in the last 5. Nonetheless, the attacks here make the OVER 2.5 (+145) my FAVORITE PLAY.

2022 World Cup: Morocco vs. France odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Morocco vs. France semifinal match odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The 2nd seminfinal matchup of the 2022 World Cup has Morocco and France meeting Wednesday at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor at 2 p.m. ET (FOX/Telemundo). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Morocco vs. France odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Morocco pulled off a stunner Saturday in a 1-0 quarterfinal win against Portugal. The entire Iberia Peninsula isn’t a fan of the African nation, and Morocco also ousted neighbor Spain in the Round 16 on penalty kicks.

The Atlas Lions are easily the Cinderella of this World Cup, scoring just 5 goals while conceding only 1 goal in 5 matches. They are 24th in the FIFA world rankings.

France, the defending champions and No. 3 team in the world, showed England the door with a 2-1 win in the quarterfinal. Les Bleus has been much more prolific on offense, registering 11 goals, with at least 2 markers in 4 of the 5 matches.

Kylian Mbappe is vying for the Golden Boot as top scorer with 5 goals in 5 matches, and he has tacked on 2 assists. Teammate Olivier Giroud is right on Mbappe’s tail with 4 goals in 4 matches.

Argentina and Croatia play the 1st semifinal match on Tuesday.

Prediction

France 1, Morocco 0

Moneyline (ML)

Morocco has been doing a tremendous job in this tournament, especially defensively. But this isn’t a side which has shown an ability to score, and that’s not good against Les Bleus. The miracle run is coming to an end in the semifinal against the defending champs, and that’s nothing to be ashamed about.

While France (-190) is a little on the expensive side, a play in the Double section with FRANCE AND UNDER 2.5 GOALS (+185) for a chance to nearly double up is too hard to pass up.

In addition, FRANCE TO WIN WITH A CLEAN SHEET (+105) is also a solid play at plus-money.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 2.5 (-150) is a little on the pricey side, but if you like to play it safe, that’s the way to go.

If you like to roll the dice a little, and trust a 1-0 score for the final, play UNDER 1.5 (+190) for a chance to nearly double up.

2022 World Cup: France vs. Denmark odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s France vs. Denmark odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

France (1 win, 0 losses, 0 draws) takes on Denmark (0-0-1) in a Group D group stage match on Saturday with kickoff at Stadium 974 set for 11 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the France vs. Denmark odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

France put on an absolutely dominating performance over Australia in Tuesday’s 4-1 victory. France has an ultra-deep lineup and arguably the best player in the tournament in F Kylian Mbappe.

Other household names like F Ousmane Dembele and F Antoine Griezmann will likely take the field for France. We might see F Oliver Giroud break Frances’s all-time scoring record; he’s tied with Thierry Henry at 51 goals.

Denmark has top-tier talent like F Andreas Christiansen, M Christian Eriksen, and M Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg playing in the English Premier League and La Liga.

Denmark drew their first match with Tunisia 0-0 in which they allowed more shots (13) than they took (11). Nonetheless, this Denmark side is typically seen as a dark horse and should be difficult to defeat.

France 2, Denmark 1

LEAN FRANCE (-130).

France just looked too good against Australia to bet against. With France being the 4th-ranked team in FIFA’s world rankings, this puts them in the driver’s seat with heavy odds.

However, the value for France makes sense and is playable. Considering Tunisia had more shots than Denmark, France should be able to get loose and make them pay.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+110).

Overall, Denmark does have a strong team (10th in FIFA rankings) and has the offensive weapons to put the ball in the back of the net. They were able to get double-digit shots on Tuesday, but just were not able to put any in the back of the net.

France has the talent up top to score 2 or 3 with ease and could have piled it onto Australia. Denmark went Over 2.5 in 5 of 8 games in 2022 prior to the World Cup.

2022 World Cup: France vs. Australia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s France vs. Australia odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In a Group D group stage match on Tuesday, France will take on Australia with kickoff at Al Janoub Stadium set for 2 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the France vs. Australia odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

France is among the tournament favorites to win it all, but they will be without Ballon d’Or winner F Karim Benzema, who will miss the entire World Cup. France still has an ultra-deep lineup and arguably the best player in the tournament in F Kylian Mbappe. Other household names include F Ousmane Dembele and F Antoine Griezmann.

Australia comes into this World Cup confident after a 2-0 win over New Zealand in their most recent match. Having 10 shots and a clean sheet should have them ready to take on the defending World Cup champions.

Being 32nd in the FIFA rankings is not quite ideal considering their opponent is ranked No. 4. The Aussies are only projected to have an 8% chance to pull out the win over France, especially with a weak attack overall.

Prediction

France 2, Australia 0

PASS.

France is clearly the better team and all of these values are most definitely justified, and they do not pose enticing lines.

A draw (+520) is not a terrible option, but overall it would be the safest to pass on this fixture and look for value in the total.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (+115).

Australia has yet to play a squad with the talent and class that France has. Australia should have an immensely difficult time just possessing the ball given France’s dominance in the midfield.

Even though they will miss their most aggressive goalscorer in Benzema, France has too many attacking weapons and should be able to break through, although an injury to distributor M Paul Pogba could hamper how effective the strikers are.

On the other hand, most of Australia’s top-tier talent, those playing in the EPL and other top leagues, come on its backline.

Only one player, F Mathew Leckie has over 10 international goals as well. I wouldn’t expect them to have much success in controlling or attacking. They have gone Over this total just twice in their last 7 games.
