Wisconsin football class of 2025 recruit invited to All-American Bowl

Wisconsin top class of 2025 commit four-star linebacker Mason Posa received an invitation to the 2025 All-American Bowl on Thursday. The event will take place in January ahead of Posa joining the Badgers.

Posa committed to Wisconsin on June 13, becoming the highest-rated recruit to pick Luke Fickell’s squad in 2025 to this point. The New Mexico native compiled 99 total tackles, including 7.0 sacks, while also adding two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception over 10 games in his junior season at Albuquerque La Cueva High School.

Wisconsin went 7-6 in 2023 in year one with Luke Fickell at the helm as the program’s head coach and Mike Tressel as the team’s defensive coordinator.

Tressel’s side of the ball finished 38th overall in total defense, surrendering 344.0 yards per game. A primary issue was getting to the quarterback, finishing the year tied for 56th in the country with 29.0 sacks as a team.

In the offseason, there was a clear focus on acquiring playmakers in the linebackers room, grabbing players like Leon Lowery (Syracuse) and John Pius (William & Mary) in the transfer portal, while also bringing in a pair of linebackers in their class of 2024.

Four-star linebacker set for official visit with Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers football team will host four-star class of 2025 linebacker Mason Posa for an official visit this weekend. The Albuquerque, New Mexico, native has narrowed his final three programs list to Oregon, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.

Posa is ranked as the best player in the state of New Mexico by 247Sports, while the website has him listed as their 18th-best linebacker and as the No. 154 player nationally.

So far in the class of 2025, Luke Fickell and his staff have reeled in three linebackers, all of which are three-star athletes. Cooper Catalano (Germantown, WI), Brenden Anes (Franklin, TN) and Samuel Lateju (Lawrenceville, NJ) have already committed to Wisconsin.

An interesting angle to the recruitment of Mason Posa is the fact that Wisconsin is competing with new Big Ten foe Oregon. If the Badgers can gain his commitment, the linebacker would become the program’s first four-star addition to their class of 2025.

The cornerback is ranked as the 35th best player at his position in the country, the No. 57 recruit from Florida and the No. 430 recruit in the class of 2025.

Also visiting this weekend are a trio of class of 2025 athletes that have already committed to Wisconsin. Four-star cornerback Jaimier Scott, three-star offensive lineman Michael Roeske and three-star wide receiver Cameron Miller will also be in attendance, amongst others.

With Wisconsin’s recruiting class for 2025 being considered already as one of the top 20 in the country, they could further bolster their ranking with the potential addition of Stroud.

Wisconsin offers four-star class of 2026 edge rusher from Florida

Wisconsin offers four-star class of 2026 edge rusher from Florida

The Wisconsin Badgers football team offered Trenton Henderson, a four-star edge rusher from Pensacola, Florida, on Thursday.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound athlete is a sophomore at Pensacola Catholic and he still has two more years of high school football before he’d potentially make the leap to the collegiate level.

To this point, Henderson has now picked up 12 Division 1 offers, including notable programs Florida State, Georgia and Notre Dame, while Wisconsin is the first Big Ten school to extend him a scholarship.

With the defensive mindset of head coach Luke Fickell and the program’s established defensive coordinator Mike Tressel, the Badgers should be salivating at the chance to acquire the top edge rusher.

In Wisconsin’s class of 2024 group of commitments, the program secured four total four-star recruits, including three on the defensive side of the ball. They reeled in defensive lineman Ernest Willor Jr. (Towson, MD), linebacker Thomas Heiberger (Sioux Falls, SD) and edge rusher Anelu Lafaele (Honolulu, HI). Luke Fickell and his staff will look to replicate that output in the 2025 cycle.

Wisconsin football a finalist for a four-star 2025 offensive tackle

Four-star offensive lineman includes Wisconsin in top 5 programs

Wisconsin football made the top five schools for four-star class of 2025 offensive lineman Logan Powell on Tuesday. Powell is a junior at Brophy College Preparatory School in Phoenix, Arizona, and is still months away from a college decision

In total, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound athlete received 25 Division 1 offers — so Wisconsin being in his top five is certainly notable. Head coach Luke Fickell and new offensive line coach A.J. Blazek will need to compete with Alabama, Arizona State, Oklahoma and Tennessee to reel in Powell their 2025 class.

It should be noted that nine other Big Ten programs offered the offensive tackle, including Michigan, Oregon, USC and Washington.

In the class of 2025, Wisconsin has already secured the commitment of three-star offensive tackle Michael Roeske (Wautoma, WI), while Powell would become the highest-rated recruit of the group if he picks the Badgers.

Four-star defensive lineman includes Wisconsin in top eight programs

Four-star defensive lineman includes Wisconsin in top eight programs

The Wisconsin Badgers football team was included in the top eight programs for four-star class of 2025 defensive lineman Juju Marks on Sunday.

Marks is a junior at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Kansas and he has slowly been narrowing down his potential college destinations.

He is 247Sports’ No. 370 player in the class of 2025, No. 31 offensive tackle and No. 6 recruit from his home state of Kansas.

In total, the 6-foot-7, 270-pound athlete has received 35 Division 1 offers, so Wisconsin being in his top eight certainly is notable. The Badgers are competing with Oregon and USC within the Big Ten, plus Alabama, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Kansas and Missouri.

Marks still has plenty of time to make a decision on where he’ll attend college in 2025, but if Luke Fickell and his staff can reel him in, he’d be a huge addition to their recruiting class.

Four-star offensive tackle set to visit Madison in May

Jack Lange, a four-star class of 2025 offensive tackle from Missouri, is set to visit the Wisconsin Badgers football team in Madison on May 31.

The Badgers offered Lange in January. He’s the top-rated player at his position in Missouri and the 11th-best offensive tackle in the country by 247Sports.

Lange has set up four summer official visits, starting with a trip to Madison in May before heading to see Missouri, Michigan and Nebraska.

Notre Dame and Ole Miss were also included in his top six programs that he listed in February.

At the end of the day, Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell and his new offensive line coach AJ Blazek want to return to the Badgers’ identity as one of the best offensive line schools in the country. Lange would be a great addition for that goal.

The Wisconsin Badgers football program was included in the top six potential destinations by four-star defensive tackle Maxwell Roy on Wednesday.

Roy is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he’s a junior at St. Joseph’s Prep and he’s a member of the class of 2025 recruiting cycle. Amongst his final six teams, five of them are members of the Big Ten.

Wisconsin has had success with St. Joseph’s as recently as this past year, reeling in three-star cornerback Omillio Agard as a part of their class of 2024 commitments.

Roy will likely wait a few months, at minimum, before making any sort of decision where he’ll play his college football, but the Badgers are certainly in the running.

The Badgers were included in the top five programs of Anthony Sacca, a four-star class of 2025 linebacker from Philadelphia on Thursday. Sacca is a junior at St. Joseph’s Prep and he still has one more season of high school football before he’d make the leap to the collegiate level.

Sacca has narrowed down his top five potential destinations to Alabama, Duke, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Badgers have had success with St. Joseph’s in the past year, securing the commitment of three-star class of 2024 cornerback Omillio Agard.

Sacca likely won’t make a decision on what school he’ll be attending, but it’s notable nonetheless that he’s considering Wisconsin amongst his final options.
