From everyday trainers to the world’s best sports scientists, the pros all recommend massage therapy.

Massage guns are plug-and-play home devices that give you the benefits of recovery and relief, right at home.

These products use percussive massage therapy, which delivers rapid but soft bursts of energy to the muscle tissue. Their popularity has skyrocketed in recent years.

Let’s look at the 11 best massage guns on the market right now.

Theragun by Therabody

With stellar design, big-time power, and advanced tech, nothing beats Theragun.

Dr. Jason Wersland invented the first Theragun as a product of necessity, meant to treat chronic pain from a motorcycle accident in 2007. He found that percussive therapy gave him ongoing relief like never before.

After some upfront success, Wersland refined the technology and expanded the product line to include massage guns for every type of muscle pain relief and muscle recovery.

Now, this brand is regarded as the Tesla of percussive massage, boasting proprietary QuietForce Technology, refined ergonomics, and unmatched performance.

The Theragun Prime is the perfect entry point to percussive therapy, delivering simple essentials to get you going.

Its unique triangular multi-grip gives you leverage from every angle, and an intuitive LED readout lets you navigate the five power settings.

The Prime can also connect via Bluetooth to the Therabody app, which leads you through guided routines designed for your specific needs.

A step up from that is the Theragun Elite, which packs more premium features into the same elegant frame. It’s more powerful than the Prime, and the OLED screen provides better insights.

The Elite is also the quietest product of the bunch, letting you enjoy your massage in peace.

For those seeking professional-grade percussive therapy at home, the Theragun Pro stands tall above the rest.

High-level trainers, athletes and therapists rely on this powerful machine to get deep-tissue percussive therapy at up to 60 pounds of no-stall force.

The triangular grip is further enhanced with a rotating arm, so no more limitations.

Quiet as an electric toothbrush and far stronger than the competition, this is the best massage gun available.

Need relief on the go? The Theragun Mini delivers impressive power in a small package.

Weighing less than 1.5 pounds, and with over 2 hours of battery life, it’s a game changer for travel or quick relief anywhere.

On top of its core product line, Therabody offers a range of proprietary, innovative attachments and accessories for added convenience and utility.

The company also regularly launches improvements and upgrades to previous generations.

With thousands of 5-star reviews and endorsements from industry leaders everywhere, it’s no wonder why Theragun is at the top of the percussive therapy game.

Hypervolt

The Hypervolt from HyperICE looks amazing and delivers a lightweight solution for vibration therapy.

It weighs only 2.5 pounds and keeps a charge for over three hours, so you can easily store this one in your gym bag for some instant relief after a tough workout or pickup game.

You can even pick up a charging dock to ensure you never run out of juice.

TimTam

It doesn’t look quite as sleek and futuristic as the leading massage guns, but the Power Massager from TimTam packs a ton of power at a fantastic price.

Weighing in at only 2.2 pounds, it’s super easy to pick up and operate.

The battery life is under an hour, and you only get one spherical attachment, but this is a great entry-level product for newcomers to percussion therapy.

Vybe

If you need to ramp up the wattage on your percussive massage routine, Vybe is your best bet, with products that deliver up to 60 pounds of force at a time.

Need to ratchet up the intensity? Vybe is not messing around. Plus, it comes with seven attachments out of the box, which is better than most competitors.

The pivoting arm also makes it easier to hit tough spots without angling your arm in awkward ways. Yes, these products weigh a bit more, but the extra horsepower is worth it.

Deep-tissue massage is effective for getting to the root of the pain, and if you can handle the slightly heavier and louder VYBE X or Vybe Premium, you’ll be satisfied with these results.

Lifepro

Too many choices can overwhelm, and Lifepro does a great job mapping out its products in various categories of intensity and precision.

Each of their handhelds is designed with a different goal in mind, from low-key workout recovery to deep-tissue massage and even scar tissue therapy.

The Sonic Mini is a super lightweight device you can carry anywhere, while the Pulse FX offers unique rotating-head technology that adds a new layer of relief.

These products have some of the most unique attachments on the market as well, and you can buy individual upgrades instead of being stuck with the basics.

The battery life is fantastic (up to 6 hours), and the prices are some of the best in the business.

Fusion FX

The Fusion FX from Lifepro deserves its own section with one distinct feature: heated percussion therapy.

When tackling tough knots and tightness, a bit of heat goes a long way, and customers rave about the extra relief they get from the one-two punch of warmth and percussion.

The Fusion FX not only brings the heat (up to 130 degrees), but it functions as a solid massage gun with three other modes, so you can always cool things down if needed.

This is a slightly bigger product with no adjustable angles, so it takes some getting used to, but the results are worth the learning curve.

Sonic X

Quiet, portable and with an ergonomic curved-handle design, Lifepro’s Sonic X has a great look and delivers big relief.

It is a perfect in-between option for those who need an upgrade from the Mini but don’t want to overdo it with too many RPMs and heavy pressure.

This is the massage gun for everyone, and a great pick if you want a solid, predictable product. For some folks, four attachments are all they need to get started.

Mebak

The sticker shock is real for some of these products, which is where the Mebak 3 Massage Gun definitely has a competitive edge.

You can find it online for a fantastic price if you do some digging, and the main features are up there with the best.

With seven attachments, five different speed settings and five-hour battery life, it’s easy to see why the Mebak has close to a five-star rating online.

If there are any downsides, it’s that the Mebak is not the quietest massager out there, so you may not want to fire it up when everyone is asleep in the house.

It also doesn’t have the most breathtaking design or ergonomic grip, but it’s hard to argue with such a complete package for the price.

TOLOCO

Some folks don’t need all the bells and whistles of a luxury massager.

Weighing in at nearly five pounds, the TOLOCO is no lightweight, but it has the horsepower to justify the added bulk.

The lowest setting on the gun is 1800 RPM, so it’s not for everyone, but athletes looking for extra torque will love this product for the functionality and price.

TOLOCO only has three settings, so it isn’t exactly versatile, but it will get the job done and help you to feel great.

Cryotex

If you need a simple, lightweight and affordable percussive therapy solution, the Cryotex Massage Gun might be for you.

First of all, it is small-sized and weighs just over two pounds, which is a major plus for any non-athletes out there.

While it can achieve speeds over 3000 RPM, the Cryotex really shines at the lower speeds and may not be the best pick for heavy-duty deep tissue massage.

Anyone looking to loosen up before a workout or take some pressure off their shoulders will love this massage gun, but it won’t be fixing any super-serious knots.

The LED readout is a huge plus and tells you exactly how much power is pumping.

As an entry-level product, this is among the best for the price.

FitPulse

Pound for pound, the FitPulse is without a doubt the best bang for your buck in the massage gun game.

With over 10 attachments, 30 speed levels, and a carrying case, you simply get a ton of value for your money. It is, however, a bit bulky and loud.

A low price does not mean cheap, and the reviews speak for themselves. It’s a little rough around the edges but definitely worth the cost.

Whether you prioritize power, portability, or precision, you have a ton of great choices for massage guns.

Budget options are available, but if you’re willing to invest a bit more upfront, Theragun offers the best performance and design for the price.

Their products simply look better, sound better, feel better in your palm, and deliver superior percussive massage treatment.

Be sure to read reviews, select the right one for your needs, and enjoy the results from these game-changing products.

Best ways to workout outside the gym

No gym, no problem—here are a few different options to keep you healthy and fit.

With gyms shut down, personal training sessions canceled, and group workouts put on pause, 2020 has been hard on our mental and physical health. But that does not mean you need to quit on your fitness goals. Whether your weight loss journey has just begun or you’re a long-time fitness fanatic, there are things you can do, even outside the gym, to help stay in shape and keep healthy.

Let’s check out a few of the best non-gym workouts you need to try.

Take the elliptical outdoors

One of the common objections to working outdoor workouts outside the gym is that they are overly-hard on your muscles and joints. Shooting hoops, playing tennis, and jogging are all fun activities, but taxing on joints and tendons, no matter your age or fitness level. Even pro athletes feel the wear and tear from high-impact workouts.

For many folks, chronic pain and recurring injury make some outdoor activities impossible. The good news is that several low-impact workout methods do the job without the risk of getting hurt or aggravating old injuries.

The American Sports and Fitness Association defines low-impact exercise as “anything easy on the joints or gentle and in a fluid motion.”

Sounds great, but not everyone has access to a pool, and walking around the block doesn’t exactly burn a ton of calories.

But low-impact does not have to mean low intensity. You can still get your body into fat-burning mode while keeping that heart rate high. You just need the right tools.  The elliptical machine is a great low impact workout and the world’s first outdoor elliptical

These sleek human-powered vehicles are unlike anything you’ve seen before and provide a fantastic low impact, full-body workout that you’ve been missing at the gym. Users describe the outdoor elliptical experience as ‘running on air,’ and you can burn up to 1000 calories an hour.

Here are just a few benefits of the StreetStrider outdoor elliptical:

  • Unlike stationary elliptical machines that weigh 100+ pounds and take up tons of space, the StreetStrider is low-profile and even folds up for easy storage and transportation.
  • You’re exercising outdoors, and studies have shown that outdoor exercise makes you feel more revitalized, have increased energy levels, and feel more satisfied.
  • It can be transformed into stationary ellipticals with the indoor stand, so if the weather is bad outside, you can still get a workout indoors.
  • Lean-to-Steer technology makes navigation intuitive and fun, like skiing down the street!
  • Multiple gears let you pick your resistance level, and you can even climb up hills.
  • Adjustable arm levers and long foot platforms deliver a comfortable and smooth ride.
  • You can customize with bags, racks, bells, and even child carrier seats so your child or dog can come along for the ride.

As you can see, these are one-of-a-kind machines, and it’s no surprise that the waitlist is growing just to get your hands on one.

It’s worth browsing the StreetStrider site to learn about the incredible technology behind the product and to read a few of the life-changing testimonials from real customers. Demand is at all-time highs, so get moving!

Workout videos

At-home workout routines have been big since Richard Simmons was Sweatin’ to the Oldies on VHS. Since then, things have come a long way. Today, fitness enthusiasts can boot up a limitless variety of workout videos from any web-connected device. Your personal trainer is now right in your pocket.

Guided workout sessions can be highly effective. The downside is that, for some, video-based workouts can get boring. The key to avoiding boredom in your fitness routine is to simply mix things up. And what better way to spice up your workout regimen than by dancing your way to better health.

Body FX is the industry standard for dance-based workouts, and their comprehensive website has everything you need to get moving and grooving toward a better physique.

Take a second to check out their wide selection of high-octane routines that will put your cardio, balance, and rhythm to the test.

The best part is that you can download these workouts to your tablet or phone, allowing you to bring the dance party wherever you want!

Whether you’re at the beach or in your living room, these routines can be done anywhere, and you’ll feel fantastic breaking a sweat outdoors.

The next best thing

Rowing is one of the best low-impact exercises you can do. It burns calories, builds muscle, flexibility and more.

According to top research, rowing engages a whopping 86% of the body’s muscle groups, compared to 44% activated by cycling.

The problem for many, though, is that either real rowing is too inconvenient or that machine-based rowing is too boring—this is where Hydrow comes in. With its tech-packed rowing machine, Hydrow gives you all the fun of being on the water with all the convenience of working out from home.

Featuring a bright 22” HD touchscreen, you can keep close track of your output in freestyle mode or follow along with exclusive workouts from professional instructors. The Hydrow videos are constantly being updated and refined and will help you sharpen up your technique to achieve peak performance.

Even if you are an avid summertime rower, this product will ensure that you stay at the top of your game year-round, no matter the weather.

The right gear

No matter how you decide to exercise in the sun, you’re going to want to sport some sweet athletic gear to look great while you put in work!

The best tees, tanks, and shorts can boost your performance and even turn some heads.

We all know about that illustrious women’s fitness clothing brand, but what about the guys?

Willy California is making a name for themselves as the premier producer of men’s athleisure and sportswear.

Plus, their products come in trendy colors that match your sophisticated style and won’t appear out-of-place in your wardrobe.

Willy California also carries a few formal pieces like polos and long-sleeve collared shirts that transition you effortlessly from the golf course to the lounge.

The brand is definitely worth following on social media as they build out their product line with new styles and colors.

With these huge leaps in outdoor workout technology and the wide array of valuable info at your disposal, you’re officially out of excuses to get back into shape ASAP!

The fitness clubs may be closed, but the great outdoors awaits. Nature is your playground, and with the right tools in hand, you can make some major progress with a bit of hard work.

Remember, workouts outside the gym can yield transformative results, as long as you stick to the program and live a well-rounded lifestyle.

Broncos coach Vic Fangio will look thinner on the sideline this season

Broncos coach Vic Fangio lost at least 30 pounds this offseason.

Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay bulked up this offseason, gaining 10 pounds of muscle. His coach, Vic Fangio, slimmed down.

“One of the consequences of being the head coach is I saw myself on the screens and in pictures a whole lot more than usual,” Fangio said during his pre-camp press conference on July 28. “I thought I just looked terrible. I decided early in the offseason I was going to lose some weight.”

Fangio said he started dieting before the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown and lost at least 30 pounds this offseason.

“[That] sounds good, but it also tells you how fat I got,” Fangio said. “It was kind of nice. I don’t want to say easy, but when you live alone like I do and you control the food in the house and you’re not going out to eat, it kind of happened. I’m glad it did. I feel good.”

This year, Fangio will aim to get Denver back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2015 season. He’ll look thinner and healthier when he sees himself in highlights this fall.

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay gained 10 pounds this offseason

Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay should look a little bigger this season.

Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay said during a Zoom conference call with media members Tuesday that he has gained 10 pounds of muscle this offseason. Lindsay is currently listed as 190 pounds on the Broncos’ roster, putting him 17 pounds behind Melvin Gordon and 48 pounds behind Royce Freeman.

Lindsay suffered a wrist injury at the end of his rookie season and that injury limited his ability to put on weight before the 2019 season.

“That wrist injury really did a toll on me when it came to working out,” Lindsay said. “I came from having to sit out 4-5 months to just rushing right into camp. So I didn’t get the development that I did like this year.

“So I feel really good. I feel healthy, I feel explosive, and I feel like I’m going to have a hell of a season this year.”

Lindsay is the first undrafted player in NFL history to have back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons to begin his career. Lindsay is expected to share touches with Gordon this season.

Broncos OLB Von Miller responds to fans criticizing his workout form

“Hey thanks for the advice but I think I got it,” Von Miller said after fans said he wasn’t working out properly.

Last week, Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller shared a video on Twitter showing off one of his intense workout sessions. The video drew more than 1.6 million views.

If Miller was attempting to do traditional curls, his form wasn’t perfect. It seems that he wasn’t attempting to do traditional curls but that didn’t stop fans from chiming in and giving him advice on how to workout.

Miller took note of the replies and responded two days after he posted the video.

“Lol.. hey thanks for the advice but I think I got it,” Miller tweeted.

Miller is Denver’s all-time leader in sacks and one of the best defenders in franchise history. He helped the Broncos win Super Bowl 50 in 2015 and was named Super Bowl MVP following a 24-10 win over the Panthers.

In eight and a half seasons, Miller has totaled 106 regular-season sacks. He is under contract with Denver through the 2021 season.

Drew Lock and his offensive teammates weren’t the only Broncos players who got in some on-field work this offseason. Denver’s defensive players got in some on-field training as well.

Broncos inside linebacker Joe Jones posted a video on his Instagram page last week that highlighted some on-field drills and weight room workouts. Denver’s players did not have official on-field practices this spring because of COVID-19 but they did get together on their own time.

Jones signed a one-year deal with the Broncos earlier this offseason. He has been with Denver in 2017 and has emerged as one of the team’s best special teams players. Jones led the Broncos in special teams tackles in 2019 (8) and in 2018 (11). He’ll report to training camp next week.
