The Kansas City Chiefs came up short against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday by a score of 20-17. K.C. once again got off to a slow start and found itself in a 14-0 hole, but the defense found its footing and allowed just two field goals in the final three quarters. For the Chiefs’ offense, however, it was more of the same roller coaster ride that we’ve become accustomed to this season.

The first four possessions for the K.C. offense resulted in either a punt or a turnover. Then, it scored two consecutive touchdowns and appeared to be turning the corner. Unfortunately, the Chiefs would only muster one field goal on their final four possessions. Turnovers, penalties, and overall lack of attention to detail held the offense back as it has for most of the year.

Poor officiating will be a hot topic for a Chiefs loss yet again. There’s no doubt that clearer rules and consistent enforcement are sorely needed, but the Chiefs have to stop putting themselves in a constant position where the referees are deciding the game.

K.C. has been able to take leads with under two minutes left in four of their five losses this season and not only haven’t capitalized but committed self-inflicting wounds to cost itself the game. The Chiefs have lost two games in a row and four of their last six.

The Kansas City Chiefs need a big bounce-back win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday to build momentum for the postseason and stay in contention for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Kansas City will look to avoid losing two games in a row for the first time since 2021. It will have to do so missing multiple starters to injury. A loss for the Bills will all but dash their postseason hopes for 2023.

It’s gut-check time for the Kansas City Chiefs. They have lost three of their last five games and are dealing with some injuries to key starters. If they want the road to the Super Bowl to roll through Kansas City during the postseason yet again, there is little to no room for error throughout the final five weeks of the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs had an ugly night in Green Bay, resulting in a 27-19 loss to the Packers. Multiple starters for the Chiefs went down with injuries, the same old issues persisted on offense and the defense played its worst game of the season.

K.C. has fallen a full game behind the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins in the AFC standings and could fall behind Jacksonville if the Jaguars win Monday night. Thankfully for the Chiefs, three of their four losses have been to NFC teams, and they still hold tiebreakers over the previously mentioned teams.

The Kansas City Chiefs are finalizing preparations for their big Sunday Night Football matchup with the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Packers have some momentum, winners of two of their last three games, and are fighting for their playoff lives.

The Chiefs can reclaim the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win, but a loss could drop them as far down as the No. 4 seed depending on how other games play out.

Linebacker Nick Bolton is working toward getting back onto the field after missing the last four games with a wrist injury. We know that Bolton is a playmaker on the field, but Drue Tranquill has more than held his own during Bolton’s absence.

In fact, an argument could be made that Tranquill is a more complete linebacker than Bolton. It’s a good problem to have for the Chiefs and it will be interesting to see how defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo splits playing time between the two.

It’s not a finished product yet, but the Kansas City Chiefs offense made strides in the win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Honing in on playmakers such as Isiah Pacheco, Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice was a recipe for success and should be the general focal point of the offense moving forward.

The Kansas City Chiefs got back into the win column on Sunday with a 31-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Kansas City’s offense eclipsed the 30-point mark for just the third time this season and put up points in the second half for the first time in three games. Running back Isiah Pacheco was the workhorse, carrying the ball 15 times and adding another five catches while finding the endzone twice.

The Chiefs’ defense got off to a surprisingly sluggish start, allowing touchdown drives on two of Las Vegas’ first three possessions. It would settle in, however, allowing just a lone field goal the rest of the way. The K.C. defense has held its opponents under 20 points six times this season.

Not much changed for the Kansas City Chiefs offense after the bye week. Penalties, turnovers, and dropped passes continued to persist for the unit, but coaches and players still believe the issues are fixable.

Maybe they are, but with it being so late in the season it is also possible that this is what K.C. is on offense. Time will tell if Andy Reid and company can work some magic and get back on the right track.

The long wait is over as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch tonight. Both teams are coming off their bye week and are looking to stay atop their respective conference. The Chiefs are beginning the second half of their schedule at full health. They will look to keep rolling on defense and work out some kinks offensively.
